I just shared my opinion of this company on the Better Business Bureau's website. I have never felt so let down by any company I have ever dealt with. When I decided to do this, I wanted to get everything in order for when I retire. I had great credit, despite my balances. I never paid late, ever. I have been on their program for 3 years. I have paid them $33,683.76 for an estimated $51,878.00 in debt. Due to their ineptness, I was charged over $5,000 in interest from 1 card alone. I called yesterday thinking I was getting close to getting this behind me. Oh, but no! I found out that there are still 3 cards not settled and 1 of them is over $16,000! Which means that when this is all said and done, I will have probably lost close to $10,000 due to their incompetence. Run as fast as you can from doing business with this company. Try to settle your balances directly with the credit card companies. I did not know that was an option until I quit paying the cards monthly. I am saddened to think that I tried to do what was right and it turned out to be all wrong.

What can i say. I regret ever working with these hucksters. After being in the program for 3 years they have failed at almost every turn. I paid in for 18 months before they ever tried to settle even one account. Then after 32 months I am told that there are still two accounts outstanding that I will be at least partially responsible for after the end of my program. You can rest assured that they never missed taking their fees out. So after three years and over $60,000 in payments my credit is crap, I still owe money that should have been part of the program and just when I though I was finished I find out that they will leave me high and dry. If you ever are offered anything by these scam artists run.

The customer service Christian was awesome!! He listened to what I had to say and contacted teh right folks in litigation and get me the answers I needed. He is a VERY bright individual, professional and courteous and knows how to interact with customers.

This is a scam! We were just as excited to maybe finally be out of debt and have a group help and guide us, SO NOT THE CASE!!!! I have paid them $950.00 a month for the last 3 years and they settled with 3 accounts, I am now being garnished by one and my husband is getting ready to be garnished by another. When calling them they said that I only had 1000.00 left in my acct - WHAT HAPPENED TO $12000.00 - is that YOUR FEE??!!! I was never behind on any of my payments, it was just a vicious cycle of paying minimum payments and never getting ahead. Well now we are so broke and in more debt then we started!! My credit is so bad and all because we listened to them. When you call them its always someone different who says the same tired speech "WE UNDERSTAND YOUR FRUSTRATION" - Oh no you don't - Please run very fast from them - please do not give them your money they are LIARS and THIEVES!!!!!!!!

We were very excited when we first started dealing with this company. But their true colors soon surfaced. Deceptions and lies were to follow. They would tell us what we wanted to hear. The only thing their negotiating skills got us was leans on our house and having to pay what we owed on our credit cards. We were doing better before they came into our lives. Numerous calls with scripted responses went on for years.
I'm happy for those that this company helped, but for us it was a nightmare so gamble at your own risk. My advise is save yourself money and communicate directly with your credit card company. We did this after failed attempts from Harbor legal and we ended up paying just a fraction of what was owed.
The BBB gives them a B+ rating, but to be honest I believe they have this because more people are not making complaints to them directly.

Your program has been very helpful to us. It has relieved a lot of stress from paying bills that was becoming very stressful.
HLG has resolved a couple of our bills already and it is so good to have someone else worry about paying our bills then going through the month to month stress. HLG has legal representation which also helps in legal matters. I had one account that did go to legal and the attorney division handled it in a timely manner.

These people are running a well veiled scam. Probably under the confines of the law. They take your money and do NOTHING. There is no representation. If you listen to them and ignore your creditors, you're setting yourself up for a court judgement in the creditors favor. I should have known when their advertisement veiled came as a debt consolidation loan. My wife was tricked into this program instead. I thought she had it taken care of until now I'm reviewing the numbers at the end of the year. Not one single account taken care of and I've paid them $6,500. Only $2,000 of that has gone toward the actual debt. Does that seem right to you people? Keep in mind these people have done NOTHING except for trash my wife's credit. They told me they'd have things rolling in 6 months and her credit should bounce back. It's been over a year and the only thing that has happened is that the accounts have gone into collections. Now I need to step in and do something about this. Trust me, you don't need these guys. Just pay your own debt. This is a predatory company not a reputable debt consolidation company. Don't believe me, do your homework! Isn't it funny how every positive review of this company sounds like it was written by someone at the company? The BBB has all negative reviews....none good.
I'm telling you from personal experience, get out now while you can. Stop giving your hard earned money to dishonest lawyers.

The hardest part for me is to be patient, it takes a while to build up an account that can be used for negotiations. One by one my accounts are being settled and I see no reason I won't have them all settled by the end of the program I agreed to.

My creditors are getting settlements and I'm getting good customer service from the monthly updates.

We have been very satisfied with Harbor, they have worked with us to
pay off our credit cards by being very up front with us. We are paying a set
amount of money each month, as they have negotiated with our creditors
to pay them off.
We receive monthly letters, and correspondence informing us of our
outstanding debt that remains.
They are honest, caring, and very cordial.
I am a 100% disabeled veteran, retired from the USAirForce, I used these
credit cards to live on until VA approved my disability.

This Group keeps the lines of communication open as to what's going on with your accounts.

Excellent service and compassionate employees who take the time to explain issues in detail and are available to answer questions. I am not used to receiving summons for court and HLG calms me down and handles the situation. It is comforting to turn over all debt related correspondence and not have to worry.

Harbor Legal Group has help me exceptionally well. I would recommend this company to anyone overly extended in debt.

To this point Harbor has done what they say they would. Any court appearances were handled in a professional manner and resolved.
