More than satisfied

We took 3 seaplane flights between Vancouver and Vancouver Island in April 2026. By booking well ahead and travelling light the price was very cheap. Easy to get a good window view. This is probably the best place worldwide foe a seaplane flight. Recommended.

Cancellations and Delays

I am dissatisfied with Harbour Air’s frequent flight cancellations and delays between Nanaimo and Vancouver. My early flight to Vancouver was delayed, causing me to miss an important appointment, and I was offered only a credit—not a refund—after the eventual cancellation of that flight. When I used the credit for another flight, my return flight to Nanaimo was cancelled last minute without explanation and rebooked two hours later, again with no refund option. The rebooked flight – you guessed it – was also delayed. HA’s unreliability and policy of offering credits instead of refunds have led me to choose other travel options in the future.

Excellent flight with amazing views

Excellent flight with amazing views. I was a bit suspicious that we were over with our luggage the exact amount as the woman in front when we were careful to be under our limit. We were charged 51 CAD for being 17lb over. Ouch! No confirmation of the weight or given the opportunity to lose some weight Feels like a moneymaker fot the company.

My friends were here from Germany and…

My friends were here from Germany and booked a flight from Whistler for a surprise bday flight. We drove from Langley to Whistler, a three hour trip one way, only to be told 3 minutes before the shuttle was to pick us up that they have cancelled the flight on us for a mechanical issue. 3 minutes before our flight!!!!! Needless to say we were disappointed as well as angry from the short notice. We called and asked the company to pay for our dinner for the inconvenience and they said they would not. We spent all our time driving , gas money, parking fee, only to go home because of the short notice of them cancelling on us. This is not the way to run a business. If a company cancels they should be willing to compensate its customers in some way. We went through a lot to get there and even had contact with them before we left for Whistler. Telling me "I understand" does not cut it. They obviously no not care about its customers. I strongly recommend looking at another company if you plan on taking a seaplane trip. This review is not the only review on short notice cancellations from this company.

Harbour Air Customer Service is HORRIBLE

Customer Service of Harbour Air has gone down the drain. Use SeaAir, Helijet or Hullo Ferries instead.

I called both the outgoing and incoming offices to let them no my son was flying unaccompanied on his birthday. He arrived to the terminal in time of his flight and was told to wait in line at which time they boarded the plane and flew without him. It was the last flight of the day. They stranded my son and he couldn't get home to his home or his birthday party!!!

A memorable and wonderful expereince

This was our first Seaplane flight and it was very memorable. Harbour Air is a slick operation and our flight was easy to book as well as being right on time. The aircraft was a very old piston engined aircraft and this added to our enjoyment of the experience as there is nothing quite like a Pratt and Whitney piston engine thumping away in front of you. I am a big guy so I was a little cramped in the back but it didn't detract from a wonderful experience.

Good service

Good service, reasonable price, generally on-time, expanded routes. Some things of note from experience:
Harbour Air doesn't operate under inclement weather, so your flight can be cancelled on short notice or return to origin in mid-flight
-Your ticket can be sold to standby guests 15 mins prior to departure if you haven't arrived
