Overall, I love the freeze dryer. But after having it for a few months, there was a vacuum issue. With the first customer service rep I got, I spent hours on the phone trying to correct the problem. I am not a handy-woman so it was overwhelming. I just stopped trying, I was so discouraged. BUT I contacted them again recently, and the customer service was fantastic! Itzia helped make it as simple as possible for me. We had a video call and she was able to diagnose the problem and help me fix it without too much difficulty. A wire was had just been knocked a little loose in transportation. This machine is a big investment and I do not live near the headquarters, so it seems to me that Customer Service has improved since my first experience with them. I give Itzia 5-stars and the machine 5-stars, but overall 4 stars for the lost food when the first customer service rep couldn't help me easily fix it.

I purchased my Harvest Right freeze dryer last year, and it has been running nearly nonstop ever since—this machine has truly exceeded my expectations. The technology is incredible, and the ability to preserve high-quality, nutritious freeze-dried food for myself and my family has been a game changer.

I chose the medium unit initially, and I absolutely love it. It’s been reliable, efficient, and easy to use. However, now that I’ve experienced just how often I use it, I would strongly recommend going with the large or even extra-large model if your budget allows. The added capacity is well worth the investment, especially if you plan to run continuous cycles like I do.

Another standout has been the customer service and technical support. On the rare occasions I’ve needed assistance or repairs, the support team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and very helpful—something that really adds value to the overall experience.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This is a high-quality product backed by a company that stands behind it. If you’re considering a freeze dryer, I highly recommend it.

Great product and even better customer service!

Simple to set up and use, works great. Got the medium 5-tray model, stainless steel. It comes with everything you'll need to start freeze drying, but there are many other tray accessories available on the website. Definitely recommend grabbing an extra set of trays so you can prep the next batch while the current one is running. Silicone tray liners make the post-freeze process easier, and the food molds are great for making bite sized snacks like yogurt bites. We also grabbed the tray lids, which let you stack the trays in the freezer.

My only complaint so far, and the only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review, is WiFi connectivity. They sell a USB adapter that you can use to connect the unit to their app, but it's $70 and just hangs from the side port. I feel that with how expensive the machine is, it should just be integrated into the default design, with a simple external antenna if necessary. That's the standard with every modern home maker-machine I've seen (3D printers, lasers, etc). Still recommend getting it so you can monitor progress and get alerts on your phone, but disappointed it's not a default feature.

Absolutely in love with my purchase, highly suggest to get one for yourself. The end product is so tasty and crunchy i cant get enough of it.

I purchased mine is February and have been using it daily since I received it! My only complaint is that I didn’t get a bigger one!!

I purchased my freeze dryer several years ago and it is one of the most useful appliances I own. I have been able to save hundreds of dollars by freeze drying sale items that would either go to waste being perishable or would not be able to buy as much as I would like. It also helps keep most of my food shelf stable so I'm not worried if a freezer breaks down. One of the best purchases I've made.

We called in since the machine was not freezing, and we were able to get it fixed even though we were within weeks of the warranty expiring.

I ordered my Harvest Right from Berry Hill Limited in Canada. I have always had a great experience ordering from them and getting exceptional service. The Harvest Right Freeze Dryer is an exceptional piece of tech. It will allow us to preserve all of the excess garden goodies for longer periods and not fill up the freezer. We are looking forward to this journey.

I have owned a HarvestRight Freezedryer for approximately 3-4 years. I own the medium size. When you calculate to cost of buying freezedried food, say for a few months, it will cost you more money than what you will spend on this freezdryer. It has more than paid for itself already and I probably have more than a year's worth of backup food that I could eat and/or share with others, if needed. I give a 4-star only because, when repairs are needed, YOU are the repair person; no one tells you that upfront. The positive part is that HarevestRight has people to walk you through every step of the repair. They also have videos to guide you and the repairs I have made thus far have been relatively inexpensive. For the first 12 mos, all repairs to include the parts are free. After 12 Mos, you do have to pay for the parts but HarvestRight technicians, in my experience, have troubleshooted so well as to directly pinpoint the issue so that I'm not fixing things that don't need to be fixed. My last repair costed approx $24 in parts (that includes shipping) plus the diagnostic fee which I think was $40. My most expensive repair was around $250; I had to replace the computer board and another electonic piece i cannot remember the name of. Conclusion: My opinion is that I made a good decision when I purchased my freezedryer.

I Have Really Enjoyed my Freeze Dryer and gives me a sense of freedom. When something goes wrong the tech support to help you is great.

I love my medium Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. It is a great way to preserve food. The freeze dries apple slices are fabulous. Read your users manual and join the users group Facebook. You can get a lot of good info there.

We have 2 HR freeze dryers, I love the amount of product you can put in the XL, and the medium is great for quick jobs, and we are supporting an American based business

Very thorough but it did take several calls to discover the actual problem. But once we found the issue resolution was quick. Wasn't all harvest right staff. I take some responsibility for the description of the problem.

We purchased the Large model and from the purchase process to setup and first run the entire run had plenty of information available on the website, owners manual or by calling in. I particularly like the QR code that appears on the dryers screen when looking for help, scan it and instantly the applicable section of the owners manual is on your phone to read through and offer quick reference or guidance if needed. The manual walks you right through set up of the machine and oil pump and how to do the first batch or burn in, as they call it with moist bread. We put the bread out for our local ducks so nothing to waste. We are impressed with the quality of build and the fit and finish and the volume of food we can dry at a time. Before we made our purchase I surveyed our friends that had Harvest Right freeze dryers and asked what accessories they recommend adding, all of them said extra trays and lids which we added. Now to the only issue, we have found that the versatility and ability to freeze basically almost anything, in addition to our grandkids putting in candy requests, we are having trouble deciding what to run next! Pretty good issue to have I think!

I bought this Harvest Right over a month ago. The only thing that’s wrong with it is it’s too small and I needed to get a bigger one. It is amazing. I use it for anything and everything. Candy and fruit are my go to.
