Bought one of their machines brand new store display model at my local farm store. I got it home and had troubles with it not making enough vacuum. I did some digging and realized that it was a 4 year old machine that the distributor must have had sitting on the display that whole time, explains the price I paid! Anyway, their tech support walked me through trying a bunch of things, testing seals, etc. and finally replaced the whole unit 100% with a brand new model! I'm floored and so appreciative to have found a company that actually stands behind their product!.

Purchased the Medium sized Harvest Right Freeze drier for use in our home. We got it last November and have used it often since then. We appreciate the help that Harvest Right has given us as we have had questions. We liked it so well we puchased a second larger sized one.

Purchased this freeze dryer 5 years ago, came with all the accessories necessary to run a batch straight out of the box, the capacity is quite larger than expected, Very efficient on freeze drying times, stays fresh for at least 5 years keeping nutrition, functions flawlessly and runs automatic, well put together the material used was top grade, Versatility equals can also be used for as a vacuum sealer. Customer service is phenomenal.

We bought the Harvest Right small capacity unit a week ago and had some trouble using it out of the box. I contacted the company, and let me say, I've NEVER had such a great experience with a company a company! They went above and BEYOND, not only getting my issue fixed quickly, but making me feel comfortable and confident on being able to run my unit. Ive already ran a batch of apples, and my kids went crazy eating everything. And, my unit is the smallest but it holds a surprisingly large amount of food in one batch! If you're on the fence about getting one, just do it! Harvest Right will be there every step of the way!

We purchased a small Home Pro freeze dryer last year from Harvest Right, and we love it! We had an issue with the fan, but Harvest Right worked diligently with us to resolve the issue. The customer service is amazing.

Website easy to navigate, Ordering a simple process, placed on February 18th. Delivered into our Garage March 11th. Shipment going through customs, coming from Utah USA I live in Cranbrook BC Canada (a small town in the Rockies). . Not a mark on the shipping box! Very impressive

Harvest Right has the best tech and price point for freeze dryers.
Its the best choice

This machine is an expensive paper weight. Harvest right tech support takes months to help with the machines that break constantly (I sadly own 11 for a business). Each machine has a 3 month life span before major issues happen where you have to send the freeze dryer back to Utah to get serviced, but only after months of communication and constant rep changes due to leaving the company. Highly recommend another brand and not getting the HR.

The sales person was never in a hurry even as we spoke a couple of days ago, . He and I spoke many times even after our first purchase. We are buying a 2nd one, now for one of our daughters....same sales person. Everyone has a preference, however, we like the white surface color and we like to new large 6 tray capacity!! Way to go, Harvest Right!

We own 2 LG freeze driers.
For the most part they are good. Just pray you never have a breakdown. Each of our machines has had 5 breakdowns. There are no tech who will come work on them. You are the tech. The techs you get to work with or on the phone and they are usually watching a YouTube video to try to tell you how to fix your machine. Really do your research before you buy one of these machines.

Great unit for beginners. Purchased for my classroom, HUGE HIT!

I purchased the medium freeze dryer. It is easy to use and I have nothing negative to say about it. I bought the wifi adapter and had to contact tech support. They were friendly and worked with me in resolving the issue. I’m very happy with this purchase and would do it again.

Recent buyer of the Harvest Right freeze dryer. Been in solid us for the last 2 weeks, great product. Easy to understand instructions and product support. Captain Chill’s review of my large Harvest Right Freeze Dryer purchased on 07/30/2025:
On 8 of 2025, it started to take excessively long to get below freezing despite trays being pre-frozen (6 to 9 hour). The appliance dealer I bought it from was absolutely wonderful. They had me try 5 or 6 home tests after consulting with Harvest Right, even contacting the factory for a replacement since harvest was in full swing. This took 3 to 5 weeks to complete.
On 10/24/2025, I contacted Harvest Right to let them know I was getting a message that my freeze dryer was not cooling and that I should contact customer support.
After a week or two of home testing/diagnosing, they wanted me to go out and buy a flash drive and do some more testing and send them the flash drive. When I balked at this, since I had been repeating these tests since August, they agreed to ship it back to the factory where it remained for two months. They forgot to send me a shipping label and it was an ordeal to get one printed.
Upon it’s return, it has been functioning properly for the last 15 or 16 batches. Other than the noise factor, it performs flawlessly now.
My support tech was very patient, professional, and courteous despite being evasive with her answers. When I asked her for a replacement, she said it was denied by her supervisor. When I asked where they got the units that were factory reconditioned, she told me from customers who were having issues with theirs. When I asked why I couldn’t be afforded the same courtesy of cross shipping a used unit so I would not miss harvest, she was very evasive and refused to answer.
While my support tech was great, the service itself from the factory was substandard.

I purchased the Harvest Right XL Pro Freeze Dryer originally as a fun project for our foster kids. They were excited about making freeze-dried candy to sell, and while their interest eventually faded, the machine definitely didn’t — we still use it regularly and absolutely love it.

The performance has been great. It handles large batches really well, which is exactly what we needed with the XL size. The results are consistent and it’s surprisingly easy to run once you get used to the process.

About two years after purchasing it we did have an issue come up, but Harvest Right honored the warranty without any hassle. Their support team handled the warranty side well, which gave me confidence in the company and the investment.

The only frustrating part was finding someone locally willing to look at the machine. Because it’s not quite commercial equipment, not standard refrigeration, and not typical HVAC, it was surprisingly difficult to find a technician who would even agree to diagnose it. That part of the process was honestly the most annoying. It might be really helpful if Harvest Right developed a network of contracted service providers in each state so customers have someone local they can call when issues come up.

My only other minor complaint is cosmetic — I wish the machines came in more fun colors instead of the standard options. When you’re using something this often, it would be nice to have a little personality to it.

Overall, it’s been a fantastic purchase and something we continue to use regularly. If you’re thinking about getting into freeze-drying food or candy, the XL Pro is absolutely worth it.

We did tons of research before actually buying a freeze dryer and I am thrilled that this is the company we went with.

Bought from Costco. Experience with them was great. The freeze dryer itself has functioned perfectly so far and everything has worked just fine. Been really enjoying making camping meals that are actually good now!

I’ve had a Medium Harvest Right freeze drier for a few years now. We got it initially to sell candy and sold enough to pay for the machine, supplies and our time. Now I use it for our own food storage, food gifts, dog food/treats and anything else we think of! We love it! It is so easy to use and there are lots of accessories and recipes available for use. It is a large upfront investment but totally worth it for us!
