Buying my used Audi from Portsmouth was a pleasure, I live in Gloucestershire so had originally viewed the car online, I was very well looked after by Donna who communicated everything to me via email and phone, the video presentation was excellent!
The part exchange deal on my old car was as good as I could expect.
On seeing the car for the first time on collection I was not disappointed, the car was everything I expected and beyond, the presentation was first class, with no last minute hitches with the hand over.
All in all probably the best experience of buying a car I have ever had.
I left the showroom very happy

Excellent service at Harwoods Basingstoke as usual. Just purchased my 6th Jaguar from them, received a reasonable part-ex offer to update my I-Pace to a nearly new model. Professionally dealt with by Gina throughout and all the financial matters dealt with without delay. Such a pity that Harwoods Jaguar will no longer be a new Jaguar dealer in future.

Reading the bad reviews here they all seem to be ref the poor service of Harwoods.
My F type Jag was purchased from a different dealer but it had a Jagua smart repair from Harwoods Chichister. The paint repair failed due to incorrect workmanship. Harwoods paint specialist told me it was bird droppings that caused the failure. I sent them a report from one of the countrys top rated car paint specialists statint the failure of the paint to adhere to the surface was from incorrect application and poor priming. Harwoods head of customer services then came back with the contract for the work done was the previous owner so they were not willing to do aything.
I was shocked at the attitude from senior management of a supposed top dealership. Clearly a large dealership network with a small local garage mentality. They are like warranty companies. Shirkers and wrigglers of any responsibility. Shame on them fror not having any shred of decency. I will pay myself for the bonnet repaint to be done properly but will never buy or have my cars serviced by any Harwoods dealership. I am not sure they even realise how dreadfully poor they are. Archie and Guy Harwood need to pay attention to a crumbling reputation.

I have waited a long time to leave a review of my experiences with this dealership.
After going through a very good sales process back in April 2024, I returned a couple of weeks to report a fault with the cars MMI system not connecting to my phone.
From this point on, this is where the dealership has let themselves down. After many many calls and visits to and from the dealership, they were unable to fix the fault over the next 4 months. To make matters worse, they told me that it was my mobile phone that was at fault. I knew it wasn’t my phone because it worked in every other car, Bluetooth device etc. In the end, I reluctantly accepted their opinion that it was my phone that was at fault and bought a new one.
It made no difference, so you can imagine how angry I was.
I then had my MMI issue and complaint referred to Audi Uk.
I then started to be taken seriously and a thorough check of all settings in the car and my phone identified the problem.
I then found out from Audi UK that either I or the dealership could have resolved this issue very quickly by contacting Audi Digital who are available 24/7.
I’m still to this day awaiting a ‘goodwill gesture’ which has now been dragging on since September!!
They don't read the low Google Reviews as they send an automated reply asking you to contact them via email even though in my case, they have full details of the complaint.

The third approved used vehicle I have purchased from Harwoods Edenbridge and once again the sales approach I received from this dealership has been great.
Steve in sales has made my latest purchase a pleasant experience and the whole team I dealt with over the last few weeks from my initial enquiry on the phone to delivery have made it an easy decision to return. I took my Land Rover in for a service over the summer and when I collected it I was told I needed to add 10 litres of Ad-Blue (not sure why this wasn't included in my £400 service). I did that and then a few months later my engine warning came on saying incorrect Ad-Blue quality detected (odd, as Ad-blue is Ad-blue). I booked it in with Harwoods Brighton who after inspecting then informed me the only issue was that I'd put too much Ad-blue in and as a result had a bill of £240 for diagnostics! No apology given when I explained what had happened, just a 'never mind'. No surprise that they didn't do their normal customer satisfaction follow up with me either.

I recently visited Harwoods Basingstoke Range Rover servicing center. While the staff are friendly and polite, there are significant concerns with the overall service quality. The team always appears to be in a rush, and getting updates on your vehicle requires persistent follow-ups. Promised call-backs rarely materialize unless you initiate contact yourself.
This was my third visit, and yet again, my car wasn’t properly washed after servicing, despite repeated reminders. Although the staff assured me it had been cleaned, I discovered after waiting another 10 minutes that only the exterior had been rushed through at the last moment. Inside, the car still reeked of diesel or engine oil, and the steering wheel was left oily and unpleasant. I overlooked issues like these before, but this time, after a major service and the premium fees charged, I expected better results. Honestly, the service for my Ford is superior in comparison.
For a luxury brand like Range Rover, where customers pay a premium, this level of service is unacceptable. It seems that either more staff or better training is needed. After three frustrating experiences, I’ve decided not to return to this center for any future servicing.

Harwoods Service department - BRIGHTON.
My Range Rover was booked into your department on the the 16th September, I eventually got it back on the 29th October. After driving it away on the 29th (yesterday) and paying the best part of £4,000 for a service, parts and a M.O.T there are numerous and some dangerous faults. You have offered to look at these issues on the 2nd December (5 weeks away) which is the first day you are able to provide a courtesy car? This afternoon I have disputed the payments to my credit card company made to Harwoods, instructed a solicitor, and will be seeking an independent assessment from another dealership of the works allegedly carried out. I suspect this case will also end up at The Motor Ombudsman. Any other business with any level of customer service would have offered to pick my vehicle up from my home and rectify the issue as a matter of urgency. Harwoods massively fail on customer service and being in touch with the reality of people’s expectations who spend huge some of money on Land Rovers/Range Rovers. I would suggest to anybody looking to use Harwoods to seriously look at your large number of online negative reviews.
