The staff at headbox were so easy to work with, to communicate with, over zoom or email. They took all of the hard work away from planning our end of year party. We had several venues to choose from which surprised me with our smaller budget. We ended up with a whole venue hire, in a great location. The venue staff were superb, the handover between HeadBox to the venue was seamless. I will definitely use HeadBox again and have been recommending them to colleagues.

Super easy to work with. Shared a list of beautiful venues I hadn't even heard of before and have been in the industry for a while. Make it seem less and easy!

Persistent sales staff to sign on venues in a misleading manner with promises to increase revenue.

After months of using the platform and receiving not a single booking we brought the issue to their attention only to be met with careless, defensive and argumentative responses. Basically they reverse the blame and don't care about the service they're providing since they've locked you into a contract.

Really awful company who have no care for their clients and only want to make as much money as possible by ripping independent venues off. The subscription fee is enormous, we declined the sign up only to be chased repeatedly by a salesman who told us we could pay in installments with the promise of lots of events which would pay it back. We agreed to give it a go however after being on there for a year there were no events in our venues area, and despite the lack of demand they failed to tell us this when we signed up. Our venue has closed, we are hoping to move site so requested to pause and delay until we have signed a new lease and have instead been offered a 3D virtue tour (cost £2000) to be paid upfront despite not having a venue.

Honestly if you are a venue I would avoid like the plague. There are much better event platforms out there who charge fairly as and when you have an event, instead of this soulless, badly designed and managed corporation.

My experience with Headbox was amazing! The team was so professional. They made the whole experience so seamless. I felt that no request was too big or too small. Super communications also.

We recently engaged Headbox for our clerkship recruitment cocktail evening in Sydney CBD, hoping to benefit from their event planning expertise. While their initial service was helpful in providing a range of venue options, we found that their suggestions didn’t fully meet our criteria—many were not exclusive enough for our needs. After several rounds of briefing, we ultimately decided on a venue that we had already sourced independently.

Headbox handled the coordination with the venue well and put us in touch with This Space, their styling supplier. This Space managed the decorations, which included candles and flowers, and while the setup was pleasant, it didn’t quite meet the level we had expected given the cost of their services. On the positive side, it was convenient to have them manage the setup and pack-up logistics, which saved us time and effort.

Unfortunately, we encountered several issues on the financial side. Headbox missed the payment deadline of the venue’s invoice, which caused additional stress. Despite reassurances from our event coordinator, the issue was not resolved promptly. The venue manager had to follow up multiple times, and we eventually discovered that Headbox’s accounts team had misinterpreted the invoice deadline. This led to a substantial delay in payment, creating last-minute pressure as the event was at risk of cancellation.

Overall, while Headbox provided some value through coordination and supplier connections, the administrative mishap left a poor impression. We were disappointed by the stress this created in what should have been a smooth process.
