Fraud

Worst idea ever. I used them in 2023, killed me on my taxes and I paid remaining balance and ended my plan through them with united health care in May od that year. I got insurance through my worl november 2023. Some how I'm realizing a tax form from 2024 saying I got coverage in jume??? Serioulsy??? I did not such thing and have maintained my insurance through my employer. This is fraud! Now filing my taxes is an issue. Who was paying the premium??? Didn't come out of my bank account. Dorty dirty ass bs. I need to file my taxes but don't need this jamming me up. Got my medical card for florida blue through employer ot shows start date of November 2023. Who are they to automatically enroll someone in something and never receive money and yet send me a tax document on something I never agreed or signed up for.... absolute FRAUD! This can't be legal . I'm sure i have to agree electronically or verbally on a recorded line. That never happened. Do not put yourself through it with this garbage bs . Truly pissed and waiting to speak to someone now. I don't know who or how, I will be filing fraud charges for this nonsense . I just checked my mail to learn this. I'm so appalled

It's horror movie

It's horror movie. Nearly zero ways to contact them about errors on tax form in writing but FAX or paper! The only other way is to waste hour on a phone and then try to explain something to an agent that has trouble understanding English language but insist on interrupting you before you say a second word. Getting them to fix their errors or even have meaningful conversation is beyond hope.

Why healthcare.gov continues to get low ratings

I'm not sure if you're allowed to criticize government organizations, but this is the worst experience I have ever had, with regard to insurance.
Just to start, no one would listen to what my question was and they transferred me without telling me they were going to transfer me. I was transferred to four people before I was able to get an actual question out. And, I know it's because they're working on commission and quotas and they don't want to talk to you during the enrollment period unless you're going to purchase a policy.
I still cannot believe how rude every person was until I got to the final person named Rashonda, who was very sympathetic and attempted to help me in every way possible. I still was not able to get the issue resolved, but I was able to speak with someone who could give me the information that I needed in order to do what I had requested to do from the start.

This really the healthcare for American…

This really the healthcare for American people? Throughout the years it's never been great, it's been plans that could save you from economic disaster, and provide the average person with basic medical care. This year? Best case scenario we choose a plan with a max out of pocket of what 18k for affordable premiums. But you pay max out of pocket for everything. But should the worst happen at least your covered. Best case we're spending 500 a month IN CASE WE GET SICK! But if we don't get sick or need an er, we're sitting out 4 to 6 k a year. If we choose the wrong plan and get in a car accident, or get cancer 18k? Like we're literally supposed to be the greatest country on earth. But our people die every day for things like they couldn't afford health insurance, they couldn't afford chemo, they couldn't afford that MRI Or cat scan. We have the worst mental health of ALL first world countries. Yet the worst care for it. We have the worst outcomes, but refuse to fix it. Many people argue against universal health care because enjoy that 30 to 40% tax rate. But healthcare in this country can quickly become 100% of someone's income. And our government? You get the best of the best. Off OUR TAX DOLLARS! Our senators, our legislators, the people that let big Pharma pay them off every day, will never worry about their health. They'll never worry about a test, they'll never refuse care because their too terrified of the bill that will follow. Once upon a time this was a decent idea to get the American people covered. Now like everything else it's to get rich people rich, poor, poorer, and the middle like is life really worth it. There was always at least one plan that was like, eh at least I can get care. Now it's, do I throw money in the trash and hope I'm OK, or do I throw money in the trash and should anything go wrong I'm still screwed. How in the world did you double or quadruple premiums, deductibles, and max out of pocket but cut care in half ? Why are ALL of our good doctors not accepting these plans. Why am I spending more a d getting less? Why are the people running the program never going to have to worry about these issues because they get the tax dollars to make sure they don't have to.

One star for the agents effort

One star for the agents effort. He could have been more effective if American Health Marketplace was a honest company. They are the epitome of deceitfulness. Deplorable truly. Or is it a true reflection of healthcare in America.

Shady Business in Insurance Coverage?

I received tax rebates coverage for my premiums last year that I did not receive this year since Florida won't allow tax rebates if your income is too "low". So if you are making less than say $12K a year, you are SOL for healthcare coverage unless you want to hand over $320 a month for premiums while you only make $80 a month? Make it make sense. Thanks Florida, you set all kinds of records with your nonsense.

Customer service call today: the website will not allow you to cancel next year's plan that healthcare.gov tries to force you into with an auto enroll if you were enrolled in 2024. You have to call the customer service number to force them to cancel for 2025 if you can't afford their massive premiums increases without the tax rebate. I called in and the rep got my 2025 plan enrollment cancelled for me but kept repeating annoying scripted comments and she also quoted my monthly premiums without factoring the deleted tax rebate in which was false information or quotes. I had to question her on that and force her to clarify that those premiums would in fact would be around $320 a month with the tax rebate taken off the table. It's very concerning to me that I had to force her to clarify that data point and my opinion is that our federal government is pulling some slick business here by auto enrolling folks, forcing phone calls instead of letting the website handle the cancellations, and not being clear on the true prices of the premiums for 2025 with the tax rebates removed if your income falls below a certain level.

I am caregiving a disabled family member so my income is what it is but what a kick in the face and with all this shady delivery of it as well. Very disappointed in our government right now. I will vote accordingly now and am irate that the current administration kind of proved their competition across the aisle correct that shady business is found in both parties.

I can't afford the high taxes I have to…

I can't afford the high taxes I have to pay every year. Not sure if it's the economy or because of the pandemic that changed everything for me. I applied for Obama care through the Market place years ago and when I went to claim my taxes It was always affordable. After the pandemic I went to claim my taxes and was charged over $2,000 without understanding why except maybe this is the way the government is going to get all the money back they handed out during the pandemic. It could be that being charged $2,000 may not be much for those that make so much money a year but, your reading a story from someone that barely makes $16,000 yearly. Imagine that? So even though I qualify for healthcare through the Marketplace I cannot afford it! It's just so ridiculous! What's happened? My income has not changed. I was paying a lot less in taxes at one time. Was it the Pandemic? Or is it simply that the government has and is still failing us because with the new year approaching and new people taking office I simply just do not see it getting any better! My sympathies to anyone that is going through the same situation.

If I could give a zero I would

If I could give a zero I would. The application process is flawed, and once I reported application error my grievance / appeal/ report was altered, and my grievance complaint denied. I already had medicare at times of application, and needed to know if I needed additional health coverage. Health insurance marketplace Repesentitive directed me to fill out and submit an application. She said my application would be rejected if I was not eligible. I checked on my application that I had medicare.

My application was accepted. I chose the cheapest plan. Two months later I got a letter notification from health insurance marketplace and ambetter health insurance if I chose to enroll in medicare my coverage would be terminated, and that it is against the law for a policy to be issued to persons already enrolled in Medicare.

Since notifying both ambetter and health insurance market place of enrollment error and requesting a refund. Ambetter directs me to contact health insurance market place, and health insurance marketplace directs me to contact ambetter, both altered my complaint and refuse to acknowledge their mistake, therefore denying my refund claim. Both have given me the run around.

hours spent on healthcare.gov…

hours spent on healthcare.gov completing application, speaking to representatives supervisors over a period of several weeks AND they still have my information incorrect!!!!!!!!! Time consuming and frustrating. Representatives and supervisors are poorly trained and the system is horribly FLAWED. How the government frustrates the public is outrageous! Applying for healthcare will cause a lot of stress which is the number one cause of chronic diseases What a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All they do is call my phone and continuing

All they do is call my phone. I ended up blocking multi numbers, but I can see where they are constantly still trying to call. It won't go through, so they aren't able to even get a ring on their end. I will be changing my number, but these are the MOST foul azz individuals in creation. It shows how low-classed individuals they are. Until then, I'll buy a blow-horn and as soon as they say something, I'll let the horn speak for me. I hope it damages their ear drum.

Ask for representative Mincy!!

Ask for representative Mincy!!! She is the absolute BEST! My obgyn no longer accepts my insurance and I was so worried to switch over to the new plan that they accept. I have my baby on my insurance as well and did not want to risk him losing his insurance. I suffer from fibroids and have been in the worst pain. Mincy is heaven sent, she was so helpful and was able to enroll me with the plan that my obgyn accepts. Very knowledgeable and a great person honestly. She went above and behind and truly cared about my situation. I appreciate you so much Mincy! You are the best !!! God bless, we love you.

Ask for Kaylen Greene for your representative

I went into this call not intending to leave a review afterwards but I was actually really overjoyed about my experience with healthcare marketplace's representatives. I had been trying to call and get my 1095-A for my taxes and had been hung up on multiple times prior. But I once I got Kaylen Greene (the marketplace representative that I received) I didn't have to worry. He spent over an hour with me, guiding me through how I needed to get the form and how to fill it out for both me and my husband. He was very kind, patient, and understanding. I really needed a brother in the faith today and I found one in Kaylen. Wherever you are, thank you Mr. Greene. 🙏🏽 I love and appreciate you.

I switched my plan last month and was…

I switched my plan last month and was awaiting August 1st to start my new plan. When I received no paperwork I called to find out my premium wasn't paid so the new plan didn't go into effect. I was told it would cost me nothing since I'm unemployed and made less than 20k. I explained I wasn't told I had to pay and would have as I had the money last month. So now I have no insurance, and can't afford the new premium. I would have stayed on my old plan for 6 dollars a month. She blamed me but finally admitted it was there fault. She asked when can I come up with the money, I said I don't know and she said they couldn't help me and hung up on me. I was getting a bit heated being blamed for not paying the premium and her not taking the blame for her fellow associate. They are free to listen to this call and my last one to see who was wrong. Now I'm literally screwed. They've been great for a long time. What happened?

Absolute Joke

Took a new job that doesn't offer insurance. Healthcare.gov says I don't qualify for a special enrollment period. Now I have to appeal even though I should clearly qualify for enrollment. The appeal will probably last until the regular enrollment period opens. So my wife and I don't have insurance. Get your sh!t together!!

I’ve been harassed for two weeks now by insurance agents calling and texting me. I’m talking 7-8 calls an hour. A text every hour. THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. No one wants to even deal with insurance let alone these calls. Shame on all of you

I got health insurance from here

I got health insurance from here, and twice these people have canceled my policy just so they can resign me up to make money. It is messing with my ability to get my meds and treatments. This isn’t a game! This is life and death for me and these damn people are in my account, changing stuff without my authorization. Protect Health are crooks…Michelle Finley is a crook. She canceled my policy without my authorization and another person in this company did it the month before. This is totally illegal! They won’t let you talk to a supervisor or call back. The lady Dawn Adam’s that signed me back up the first time, said this company is known for that…and here I am another month without insurance…because canceled it. This is BS! Now I am about to report them and Michelle Finley…I have her NPN…they done messed with the wrong one!
