Healthchecks.io is a service for monitoring cron jobs and similar periodic processes. It listens for HTTP requests or email messages ("pings") from your services. It keeps silent as long as pings arrive on time. It alerts you as soon as a ping does not arrive on time.

Healthchecks is a Great Service
Healthchecks is a great service. It is relatively straight forward to use, has the right amount of options and facilities, and is highly reliable. It has detected and helped me fix a number of issues over the four years that I have used the service. It absolutely helps give me confidence that my servers are running properly and that my periodic tasks are performing reliably. Highly recommended.

Simple tool with a single purpose
It's a simple tool with a single purpose. And it serves that purpose perfectly. Been using Healthchecks for years and never had any issues with it.
Stop trusting your backup cron and use Healthchecks to make sure they were taken on schedule.
