Highly recommend trying, especially if therapy didn't seem that helpful!
I can only speak to my experience with my coach (1:1 coaching for 24 weeks), but my coach was excellent. I was nervous because of the lack of details about coaches that I might not click with him, but it was the opposite—we were a great match and he was so insightful. I've been in therapy (again, can only speak to my own experience with one therapist) and I found this much better. It felt less clinical, less about "fixing" my experiences and more about feeling them, which was what I needed as someone who tends to intellectualize and problem-solve instead of feeling.
Progress was made, lots to go-you get what you give
I've been in 1:1 coaching for about a year and a half and I can say in that time my coach has helped me develop a better understanding of myself, encouraged me to explore the origins of my behaviors, and helped me recognize different patterns in my life. I still haven't reached all my goals yet, but I feel like I have a foundation to build the path going forward.
Coaching went really well for me
Coaching went really well for me, I’m sorry I was unable to continue it further! My coach, Giovanna, and my group were all very empathetic! It was a big help to talk things through with them.
Dr K's Guide and Addiction Workshop
Tl;dr Dr K and Healthy Gamer's unique approach are helping me change my life for the better in ways only talk therapy could not
After many hours of consuming content on HG's youtube channel, consulting the free resource packs on HG's website and finding benefit in my personal life I decided to invest in my own wellbeing and mental health and purchased Dr K's Guide to Mental Health, the full bundle with 5 modules.
I'm very satisfied with my investment, and after more than 6 months I'm still going through it on the regular as it provides helpful resources, worksheets, meditations and a structured environment for learning
with a clear path forward.
After purchasing the guide I also took the chance to participate in November's 8 hour workshop on addictions with Dr K himself. Even after years of exploring the subject myself I still found out new perspectives and I'm also working throught the workbook they provided us. Only downside to the workshop being that no recording was provided but it seems they took care of the problem in the current iteration.
Genuinely transformative
My coach Jason genuinely helped me achieve major transformation in my personal, professional, and artistic life.
When I started working with him, I was struggling with motivation, feeling apathetic towards my personal goals, and lacking the awareness or tools to know how to overcome it. Through our work together, Jason helped me uncover some deeply held core beliefs that had served me up to the present moment but were holding me back from the growth I was seeking for my future. Every week, he showed up with calm energy and patience, always guiding my journey with thoughtful questions and inviting exercises rather than prescriptive tasks or premature conclusions.
I can confidently say that Jason is the best personal coach I've worked with, and the HealthyGamerGG program has helped me break through walls I didn't realize existed in my life to achieve deeper connection to the world around me. I'm incredibly grateful, and highly recommend anyone considering the program to spring into action while it's still so publicly accessible.
I had a great coach
I had a great coach, who helped me recover my mental health completely. Healthy gamers as a service are great; they will find a schedule that is flexible and seamless with you so that it won't be a hassle.
Lack of transparency & flexibility
I had a disappointing experience with HealthyGamerGG’s coaching service. I was unaware that some of my sessions would be marked as “missed” despite giving proper notice when I couldn’t attend. The cancellation policy is strict, with no exceptions—even for illness—which I found unreasonable. Customer service was unhelpful and simply stated, “We don’t have any exceptions.” There was also a lack of transparency in tracking my sessions, making it unclear which were counted as attended, skipped, or missed. I expected better communication and flexibility, but instead, I feel misled. Would not recommend.

I am the best version of myself (yet)
After two and a half years of coaching I can confidently say that I am the best version of myself (yet). My coach has helped me through so many difficult times. I started a very difficult job and struggled a lot with imposter syndrom. I struggled with avoidance. I struggled with my ADHD and always feeling overwhelmed. I struggled with self worth, confidence and following through. I had failed my final exam and had this huge task of writing a thesis before me, that I could not imagine myself every completing.
I still struggle with most of these things but to a way lesser extent. I feel way more confident in myself, I know that I can get through tough times because Ive done it before and how to get through them. I understand myself better which lets me be more authentic and helped me create meaningful connections with others. I passed my final exam on the second try and in a month I will be handing in my thesis to get the degree I have been working towards for 7 years.
All of this was possible because my coach showed me what I was capable of and helped me declutter the chaos in my own head. He held me accountable and showed me a different perspective to the things i struggled with.

You can only improve so much on your own.
I've spent the last 4 years working on myself, alone. Watching videos, reflecting, going to the gym etc. But I hit a plateau and wasn't improving much. And despite all the improvements I had made in my life, I wasn't getting any happier. So after years of watching Dr. K videos, I decided to give the coaching a try. It was one of the best decisions I made last year. I love my coach, she is a perfect fit for me. She keeps me motivated/accountable to do the things that are hard but necessary. She gives me great perspective on issues in my life or thoughts in my head. And I like that coaches have the flexibility to be a bit more personable than a traditional therapist is.
Coaching is great, and its something that I look forward to every single week.
After years of watching DrK's videos on…
After years of watching DrK's videos on the HG, I went through group coaching with an open mind. We worked on weekly themes and discussed them as it applies to our lives. It gave us a insight and understanding to our own lives, habits and actions, and motivations behind them. It aims to give us the tools to fix some of issue we have and how we can take steps towards our goals. The more time you set aside for working on and thinking about those themes, the more benefit you will get from this. You have to put in the mental energy or be present.
It leverages on the youtube videos and guide. So you really get a lot more that just a 90min group coaching. The structure gives you great knowledge on yourself.
The group aspect allows you opportunity to know your group mates and help, listen to each other's story.
I will be continuing group coaching in the near future.
One hell of a season
I had 108 sessions. It was an awesome 2 years filled with lots of ups and downs. The coach was very understanding and compassionate. They pushed me when I needed it (and I didn't want it), helped me stay with the discomfort, and also knew when to give me space when I needed it.
I learned a lot about myself, regulating my emotions, cognitive distortions, meditation, journaling, habit building, and so many other tools that helped me throughout my mental health journey moving forward.
Thank you to HG and my coach, you know who you are. You guys are awesome human beings!
1:1 coaching
I went through 20 weeks of 1:1 coaching and it was life-changing. I feel like a lot of people who have negative experiences have incorrect expectations of what coaching can do for them.
I'm a pretty self-reflective person and the coaching was amazing as it allowed me to explore and grow those capabilities to a greater extent. The coach allowed me to lead the session and only asked crucial questions when needed, which made the sessions feel extremely productive as we were making progress every other session. A lot of your success with the coaching program is going to depend on you putting in the work to self-reflect, explore, and face your challenges, but it's so worth it if you're willing to give it a shot.
I would highly recommend it to most people who have a challenge that they've been dealing with for a while and need an extra push to overcome the hurdles.
An exceptional gem
I am right now halfway through Dr K's. Guide for mental health and I have to say, it's an exceptional gem that has my eyes opened in a way years of therapy weren't able to.
The skill tree is amazing to keep an overview and to stay focused and motivated throughout the course (keep the skill tree, Dr. K, it's way better than the new guide design!)
Amazing experience
I had an awesome coach that really helped and encouraged me to not only take on a new perspective but also take action and find new ways to enhance my life. I felt stuck in therapy and having gone through coaching, I felt like I really made progress (especially in such a short amount of time). I'm super happy with my experience and I recommend it to anyone who's feeling like they need guidance but are willing to do the work to change their own lives and minds.

I gained a profound understanding of my emotions, leading to stronger, more fulfilling relationships. If you're looking to elevate your life, I highly recommend personal coaching.
Professional coaching for anyone
Healthy Gamer makes professional coaching accessible for anyone. I had 20 days (about 5 months) worth of life coaching and it has been a super valuable and informative experience. The coach connected with me on a personal level while still keeping that professional boundary, making for super easy and informal communication. It didn't feel at all like therapy (while still keeping a therapeutic and helpful nature) and I would highly recommend anyone to give Healthy Gamer coaching a try.
A Good way to get started
An incredibly helpful way to get started if you want to start making progress but don't know where to start.
More Effective Than Therapy
Individual Coaching was more effective to me than therapy has been. My coach was able to understand my wanting to improve my mental health to be a better version of myself and not just to avoid a meltdown. After coaching, I relate to my own emotions more intimately than before and feel less overwhelmed by emotional turmoil.
My coach cared deeply about my progress and wellbeing and couldn't have represented HG any better.

Do not sign up.
Do not sign up. Coaches are amazing, coaching changed my life for the better, but the company is very hypocritical. They burn out their coaches, underpay them, treat them without respect and then fire them on short notice, its ridiculous that they claim to be promoting mental health. Find a private coach, there should be enough former experienced HG coaches out there now that so many have been let go in favour of cheaper new hires.

Coaching changed our life (for the better)
I'm not exaggerating when I say coaching with Dimitri at Health Gamer changed my life and the life of our family. I came to coaching desperate to change our situation with my son. Nothing I was doing was working, I was making things worse actually.
Fast forward to after coaching, I've never been more excited about my son's future than now. He's back in school, focused on his health, and actually talks about his future.
Fair warning: coaching made me realize that I was the problem. It was not about getting my son to behave the way I wanted. It was about rebuilding a relationship that I had partially destroyed through my actions/inaction. We have 100% done that now and I'm so grateful for the coaching for this.
