The earplugs are billed as being comfortable for side sleepers, they are not, they are the most uncomfortable ear plugs I have ever worn.
No problem, I thought, seems to be easy to return them. I was wrong.
Firstly, you get an AI bot responding to you until you get angry, then you get a human. They sent me a form to fill in which didn't have United Kingdom as an option.
You have to pay £6 to return them. Once your return is approved you only have a 7 day window to send them back or you have to start all over again. Your photos have to be right (have seen others get rejected - mine didn't). It then took THREE WEEKS for them to approve my refund and pay back to me and it was only after I chased that I got my money back. This company needs a serious think on customer service and in the meantime - don't buy from them.

I expected an innovative quality product which promised a bespoke motorcycle use case. It did not deliver.
They kept falling from my ears when pulling on a helmet. Eventually one of them got lost in the process.
ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY and a RIP OFF at €50 delivered.
The old cheap foam plugs work better and are basically free in comparison price wise.

AVOID – APPALLING RETURNS PROCESS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased three pairs of Hears earplugs in July as a gift. Nothing wrong with the product but they were unsuitable, so I contacted Hears to arrange a return.
I had absolutely no idea at the time just how difficult it would be to get my money back.
My first email requesting a return was met with an AI response offering me a 20% credit if I simply kept the products. I declined. I did not want a partial credit — I wanted to return the items, which were completely unopened, unused and still had their original seals intact.
What followed was an unnecessarily difficult and drawn-out process involving numerous emails and even having to provide photographs to prove that the packaging was unopened and the seals were intact.
Eventually, Hears agreed to accept the return and sent me a return label — which I had to pay for myself.
I returned all three pairs as instructed.
Hears subsequently emailed me confirming that they had RECEIVED my return, but informed me that the unopened items now needed to be “inspected” before my refund could be processed.
That was two weeks ago.
It is now 22 September. These products were purchased in JULY and I STILL do not have my money back.
How long exactly does it take to inspect three completely unopened, factory-sealed products that you have already confirmed receiving?
I find the whole experience completely unacceptable.
Hears promotes a “100-day return” policy, which gives customers the impression that they can purchase with confidence and return the products if they are unsuitable. My experience of actually trying to use that returns policy has been anything but easy.
There is a huge difference between advertising a generous returns period and actually providing customers with a straightforward and efficient refund process.
I have had to chase, provide photographic evidence, reject attempts to persuade me to keep unwanted products for a partial credit, pay to return them, and I am now STILL waiting for my refund despite Hears having had the products back for two weeks.
I genuinely wish I had read the reviews before placing my order.
This is quite simply the worst returns and customer service experience I have ever had with an online retailer.
BUYER BEWARE.
DO NOT BUY FROM HEARS UNLESS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN YOU WILL KEEP THE PRODUCT.
Based on my experience, getting a return authorised was difficult enough — actually getting the refund appears to be another battle altogether.
AVOID.

These weren't particularly comfortable, returns process a con.
So we used a returns label sent to us by Hears.
When they received the return they claimed that received an empty box, when we returned three sets.
Looking at reviews from past customers, this appears to be a theme........

Terrible experience with this company! I ordered several pairs of earplugs for a concert in August. My order was delayed by processing issues on their part, and the order that finally arrived–too late for the concert–was incomplete. I requested a refund for the missing earplugs and a return label for the rest, and all they gave me was a runaround! I jumped through multiple hoops and ended up writing a total of seven (!) emails to them before finally filing a dispute with my credit card company. Let my experience be a warning to others–find a different place to get earplugs!

I had three sets of Hears earplugs stolen in the post (not sure if it was before it arrive in my mailbox or not). It took a few days, but I was sent replacements and those arrived in a box that actually fit in my mailbox and work great!
Alliah and Mark from customer support were helping me out and I appreciate the actual case being handled by humans, after the "intake" AI bot asked for some photos.

Don’t be misled by Hears’ 100-day return policy implying easy and free returns as this was definitely not the case.
I ordered from Hears to give them a try due to their 100-day return policy but wish I hadn’t. The return process requires multiple steps; email to ask to return, get sent a form to fill in which requires an explanation and photo for each item, have to order and pay for the return shipping label which didn’t arrive, then have to email again to ask for the label. After waiting a couple of weeks the package tracking didn’t update and Hears didn’t respond to two emails asking for my refund, so then I had to submit a case via PayPal to get the refund (which only took a few days - I recommend using PayPal where possible for retailers you haven’t used before, and be wary if the retailer doesn’t offer PayPal as a payment method).
Despite Hears’ policy saying return fees will be reimbursed if there is an issue with the product (they caused discomfort and impaired sound quality, something the description claims won’t happen), after many emails to ‘Customer Service’ (when they finally emailed back) requesting that my issue be escalated to a complaint multiple times finally got the return fee refunded. Overall a poor product and service experience.

The product seems OK. The reason for the 2 stars is the return and exchange process.
Also, the case that the earplugs come in fit the default size ear buds perfectly, but when one attaches the large ear buds (normal for an adult male), the earplugs don't fit, are very lose and will be prone to loss.
I'll wear them, but Hears needs to react to this feedback

Awful product in my opinion. Very cheap and tacky box. Also support team take AGES and make refund process very long

I was a bit sceptical about Hears sleep. I had read quite a lot of reviews about them and the company some good and some bad but I am a true believer that you have to try things out for yourself and I'm so glad I did.
Well I can honestly say that they are great and I am so glad that I went ahead and bought them. I have been trying them out for a few weeks now and I have had some of the best sleeps for a long time, as my husband snores loudly most nights. They fit snuggly into your ear and are very comfortable to wear even if you are a side sleeper like myself.
I have just been on a 3 week holiday with 5 people and 2 of those people snore, most of the time we were all in one room and I can honestly say that Hears sleep drowned out the snoring. They don't drown out all the noise and you can hear some things.
I will say this though, if you set an alarm you will need to put the sound on high otherwise you won't hear the alarm going off.
There was a bit of a problem with my order and they sent the wrong colour Hears sleep and only one cleaning kit. I sent an email to the company (I had heard on the reviews that they were terrible in getting back to people and some customers had to send numerous emails to them, so I wasn't holding my breath). Within 5 days I received a response from a gentleman called Mark who was extremely helpful and apologetic about what had happened. Mark asked me to send him some information about my order and he would look into it and get back to me. Within a couple of days I received a response from him to say that they were very sorry about the mix up with my order and they will send me the correct colour Hears sleep and a cleaning kit in the post at no cost to me and that I could keep the Hears sleep that I had already received.
Like I said Mark was extremely helpful and kept me updated about my order, so you can't believe everything you read. Thank you Mark for all your help it is very much appreciated 😊

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!!!
A huge disappointment. The noise reduction is practically non-existent, even with the 25 dB version. I have over 20 years of experience with various types of hearing protection, and based on my experience, these are one of the worst I have ever used.
The product is overpriced considering its performance, and the delivery time was extremely long.
The 100-day return policy sounds good from a customer’s perspective, but in practice it is misleading, as customers are charged 33€ for returning the product. On top of that, the return processing time is extremely long — approximately one month. A return policy should provide a reasonable and straightforward way for customers to return a product that does not meet their expectations, rather than involve significant costs and an excessively long processing time.
Overall, a very poor product, an unreasonably long delivery time, a costly return process, and an excessively long return processing time. I cannot recommend these hearing protectors.

Waste of absolute money, does not block the sound at all, still hear the dogs outside barking, still hear my husband snoring. And now I'm not even gauranteed a full refund after I was told if they don't work I'll get a full refund. Sending these back from SA to wherever they came from will cost more than I bought them for. Don't waste your time with this product, especially if you reside in SA as it's extremely costly to send them back.

Unfortunately my Hears were lost during shipping, but Mark from customer support helped me out without delay. Clear communication, fast response times, and a replacement on the way in no time. Thanks Mark for your friendly and professional help.
