Unbelievable

This will probably sound a bit farfetched. I had an insurance policy with Hello Auto last year. I contacted them last November and told them that I had sold the car and wanted a quote for my new car. The quotation that I received was very expensive so I didn’t get back to them. Because of the problems that I had getting insurance with them at the beginning of the policy I didn’t bother asking for a rebate for the time left on the policy and I presumed that was it finished after informing then that I had sold the car. I received an email from them in August saying that they couldn’t take payment for the car that I sold; this is without even giving me quotation. I informed them that I had sold the car last year and thought that was the matter sorted but no. They have threatened me twice with legal action because I didn’t inform them last year that I was cancelling the policy.
