All devices have been difficult to set up and connect. The shade
The bridge would not connect to wifi easily and then dropped out once it was connected. Had to order a new one and hook up using cord to Router. The Ryse Smar Shades either wouldn’t go into BIST mode or gaveme a hard time calibrating. Had to reset and restart multiple times Huge time suck. I have five operational and the sixth one is still giving me a hard time. The firmware needs help fir sure.
I really like my blind controler
I really like my blind controler, it works great with Alexa. But my one star short of 5 is with the pricing/advertising. I wish there was transparency from RYSE in regards to special pricing. RYSE keeps claiming they are giving us 25% off but really that is the same price it has been for quite some time. Also I receive emails stating since I a good customer they will give me 25% off. Again the SAME price. PLEASE stop treating us customers as if we are stupid and not realize what they are offering us. Just tell us that is the price and we will deal with it. O and still waiting for remote controllers.
Great when it worked
Great when it worked, but really bad when it didn't.
It does as advertised. Just wished it was consistent.
It didn't handle the included ball chain connector in the turning mechanism, it fell off sometimes and was a pain to put back together. The additional button for a simple switch to toggle the shades open and closed worked, less than half the time.
The inconveniences outweighs the good for me.

Jamming from my blind cord in the device. Had to remove drive gear which broke while winding cord around it.
Customer service has been great
Customer service has been great!
Product is awesome, I have 3 now and they are located in the corner of the room and blocked by furniture and it makes it a breeze with our ryse to open and close our blinds.
Excellent customer service
No need to pull blind up like the auto up n down
Very good no need to manually pull up n down . Good customer service response
Great Help and Product
I had a problem creating an account and they got back to me pronto. The 1st one I got worked perfectly and so I bought another and a bridge. Simple, but effective product.
Excellent!
The app and device are extremely buggy
The app and device are extremely buggy. I have had numerous bugs and issues. Fortunately the customer support is pretty good.
Pour online shopping experience, and follow up support
The online shopping experience, and follow up customer service, is terrible. You cannot speak to a live human being. Support is done via email, or by a Chatbot. If you are lucky, the Chatbot will let you chat online with someone that might be human. The response time is long. They canceled an order of mine for no reason that I can understand. They’re just mind numbingly terrible.
Should have gone with the other recommendations
Build quality is poor - the chain covers do not pop off easily and the tabs break. Very hard to set up bridge and pair devices to bridge. Smart home control works only intermittently. Shade chain skips on wheel during operation.
Poor setup experience and customer service
It took several hours to set up 4 SmartShades with numerous glitches when setting up. Additionally, I was sent the wrong product and had to go through the return process before receiving the correct replacement.

product kept kicking out the beaded string. at some points it would pull itself off the wall. I was careful to follow the instructions but I think the requirements and placement need to be really exact. I loved the idea of it. app seems good. but I will need to return.
The product does not hold power
The product does not hold power. It
does not charge properly. The yellow light comes on for about 1 min. and then goes out, the green light never comes on.

Blind works perfectly using the the Ryse app except for a grinding sound on the chain.

I really appreciated the detailed installation instructions. It made the process much easier.
Over priced and isnt a true SmartShade option.
I like the smartshades, its nice to be able to push a button verses rolling them up by hand. However I purchased 2 smartshades and the bridge so it would work with my Alexa. The only problem is it never works with Alexa or with the Ryse app. Not sure if the problem is the app or the bridge or both but it frequently stops working and I'm unable to control them without getting up and pressing a button which defeats the purpose of why I bought this product, and I frequently have to unplug the bridge to get it working again. For the money I would have expected this to work way better than it does. In my opinion its not worth the heafty price tag.
