Surprise costs
Helping.com suffers from surprise costs, I am sure these are written in small in the terms and conditions, but still unacceptable in 2018.
My first booking I was charged $80 for two hours instead of $70 as displayed ($35/h). When I realised that I decided to withdraw, but that came to the cost $50 extra.
So I ended up paying $130 for one clean. Not nice.

Was not informed about the minimum number of cleanings when I registered. Cleaners were average, but one appeared to have a health problem, which is not great, considering this is a cleaning service.

My cleaner did an excellent job on the first clean. It was very clean when I got home, and everything put back in it’s place. I loved the little touches like the toilet paper!!
Terrible customer service, a shame for the cleaners
I had two cleaners both great but had to cancel one of my booking and the company wrongfully charged it while the cleaner and I both had received a cancellation confirmation.
I tried to contact the customer service who replied 3 days letter "We would need to clarify this matter with the cleaning Agency and then proceed the refund process once the it has been resolved." It has been a week and they have not come back to me yet.
Meanwhile I have asked to cancel all my future booking which I should be able to do as I have had the minimum cleaning required. They answered they would proceed to cancellation and it still has not been done. Not mentioning that their FAQ provides the answer to how to cancel all future bookings and that the cancellation button does not exist on their website.
Worse customer service I have ever had so far, which is a shame for the cleaners who in my experience, have been great.
Horrible
I tried contacting Helpling customer service regarding a payment issue several times - Three emails, numerous phone calls (always went to voicemail, which stated to email them instead) - No replies, no call-backs, nothing. Non-existent customer service. Cleaner was average, and only worked approximately three hours out of the five I paid for.

Aida was polite, courteous, trust worthy and gave our place a thorough clean. She has fantastic attention to detail, cleaning under things not around (like we have had previously), she is honestly the best cleaner we’ve ever had. Thank you Aida! Look forward to having you again :)

Terrible service overall.First they promise discounts online but once you want to book - suddenly that's not there anymore.
Then you request a cleaner for every 2 weeks but get charged directly for weekly cleaning ! They just charge you but there is no way to cancel anything! So they keep on charging you money but no way to cancel it - so be WARNED!! Also in FAQ it explains how to cancel - but these options are simply not there online.
You can't remove your CC details either.
Overall it seems not a cleaning service but money laundry scheme!Be warned of this terrible service.
awful service and rude employees
We made 3 bookings with Helpling. The first cleaner cancelled her first appointment as she said that she couldn’t make it, she then the following week cancelled them all without any notice or message or anything at all. She just didn’t turn up. They then organised another cleaner, who turned up half an hour late. He then cleaned for 2 hours, and was very thorough in the kitchen, but then only spent approximately 10-15 minutes on the rest of our flat. He also smashed a class whilst he was at ours but didn’t apologise or even tell us. We decided to cancel all further bookings with him, to which he text me asking for an explanation. When I explained our reasons, saying that we were grateful for the thorough clean on the kitchen but concerned with lateness and the cleanliness of the rest of the flat, he then told me ‘not to be smart and try to pay him 3.80’?!, he then left me a voice message swearing at me and complaining about having to travel to my flat to then be cancelled for other bookings. I was shocked at his unacceptable and rude attitude, especially as I had actually been very kind in his review considering the circumstances. I had to block his number and suggest that he shouldn’t be as rude to future employers. I will no longer be using this service.
No Contact. Cleaners with no experience.
Didn't even get to the stage of a clean. On sign up they listed a bunch of cleaners with many reviews and experience and then once they had signed me up they assigned a cleaner with no legitimate reviews. Many calls and emails have gone unanswered - have cancelled my account.
Reliable and outstanding work
Kui is amazing and does outstanding work! Thank you for a great year. Tuesday's are my favourite days after he cleans, as our place looks and feels immaculate. Well done Kui.
WARNING - do not use this company. Awful clean and customer service
I booked a cleaner in preparation for a party, provided instructions on the booking about needing the balcony tiles cleaned, benches and tables wiped, mirrors and windows cleaned. I wrote a checklist, paid extra for a balcony clean and showed the cleaner around identifying the items on the list.
I was charged for 2 1/2 hours of cleaning and all that was cleaned was wiping down of my (small) bathroom and kitchen benches being wiped.
I was so upset to see that what I had paid for was not done - but thought it might be a one off. Helping still charges me, took a week to respond to my complaint and a further week to tell me they were only refunding me $40 as there were other cleaning and expenses. They’re refusing to refund any more of my money (when they bother to respond).
The cleaner also texted my personal number demanding to know why I had complained.
Their claims about cleaners being vetted and only “trusted professionals” being used are doubtful. Their promise of excellent customer service is a flat out lie
Don’t use helpling. Trust me. Take your business elsewhere!
