You book a slot, join the call, and point your phone at whatever isn't working. I tell you what's wrong. Most faults get sorted on the call. If it does need an engineer on site, you'll know exactly what the problem is, what part it needs and roughly what it should cost, so nobody can overcharge you on the doorstep. There's no van and no callout charge. A typical UK callout runs £80 to £120 before anything is fixed, often with a two-day wait, and plenty of "emergencies" turn out to be ten-minute jobs: a pressure top-up, a thermostat setting, a fill valve. I'm Carlo, 23 years in the trade. Ten of those were on commercial heating, ventilation and gas, and nine running my own heating and plumbing business in Edinburgh. I hold a BEng in Architectural Engineering (Building Services) from Heriot-Watt. I was gas registered from 2007 to 2026, CORGI then Gas Safe, and my ACS domestic gas qualification is current to 2030. I'm also F-Gas certified. I cover boilers and heating, plumbing and hot water, gas hobs and cookers, ventilation and heating controls. Bookings run seven days a week, 06:00 to 20:00 UK time, with same-day slots usually available. Advice and diagnosis only: any hands-on gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If the connection fails, or it turns out to be something outside what I cover, you get your money back.
