Terrible shipping & customer service experience. Ordered airsoft parts, listed as IN STOCK, after my order sat is "awaiting fulfillment" for 2 weeks, I asked about it and turns out parts of the order were backordered.

They answered promptly and offered an additional 10% store credit, so I thought I'd give them another chance and place another order for similar parts.

Again, my order sits as "awaiting fulfillment" for two weeks, so I decide I've had enough and ask for it to be cancelled. Turns out Hero is "unable to cancel an order after it is placed" (when that was exactly what was done on my first order) and I'm sent a link to their shipping & return policy.

Please don't make the same mistake I did and give Hero Outdoors the benefit of the doubt. They are dishonest, don't actually stock the products they advertise, and hide behind a draconian refund policy so they can take your money and give nothing in return.

Take your business elsewhere, there are so many other good online airsoft shops in Canada whose goals go beyond bilking the community.

I think that there was a point in this business' existence where they did try to match customers up with the products that they claim to have on their website but were fulfilled through third party ordering but now they have given up completing orders all together and have opted to just take people's money instead. In the mist of overwhelming reviews, shame on me for believing in and trying to keep a business alive... I guess some businesses deserve to crash and burn and some business owners deserve to go to prison. Let me make myself perfectly clear, what they are doing is out right fraud and I hope that more people would read these reviews and chose not to deal with them.

I ordered an item from them on March 3rd as it was listed as "in stock" and a Canadian company. When I inquired as to the items whereabouts, they replied that the item was in their large overseas warehouse (china) and it would take 30 business days and would have to clear customs. It's over 3 months now and the item still hasn't even shipped. This is fraud plain and simple. They will take your money and no product will be delivered. I didn't research the reviews well enough so that's on me, but I've never had a company that would take my money (hundreds) with no intention to deliver or care about the customer. I'm surprised Commercial Crime hasn't shut them down.

So glad I read these reviews before making a purchase. They have a VFC SR25 Mk11 Mod 0 KAC. This is a rare gun as it was sold out on release. They said they had a floor model for sale but at a huge inflated price. But I thought "Screw it, I understand its practically a collector's item at this point, I'll pay the small extra amount." I 100% know if I had placed that order, I would not have received my gun. It was going to be almost a 2,000 dollar purchase. A lot of similar reviews on other sites as well. I am a U.S. resident, so I don't have the jurisdiction but to those living in CA, please put these POS in prison.

Scam run away and forget this site, order two items and rcvd only one and what I rcvd is a refurbished/reproduction of what was adv as ORIGINAL WWII, and you cannot return what you bought online after you found out you were scammed....Now, after many emails where I request my order status the second item was shipped today and I have a tracking number....my bad experience with this site is they sell reproduction items as "new condition and original"...I'll never ever order again!

Operates like a scam company. Takes your money but doesn't ship out the products. I've contacted them numerous times but they never respond. Told me to message them on Facebook or Instagram, but they don't even have an Instagram (or he failed to provide it). DO NOT BUY. UNTRUSTWORTHY AND UNRELIABLE

I've dealt with this business a number of times, with good and bad experiences on delivery sometimes on time but most times months after the fact.
Heros outdoors is the only place where you can sell your used airsoft guns. I sent my gun to see what they'd offer me, now they had the exact same gun in stock for $830, so I knew roughly what they may offer for my complete package used gun (6mags scope battery and oringal box). I get a email from them stating my gun doesn't work and they'd offer me $220. I declined that ridiculous offer and asked for my gun back. They didn't give a tracking # for my property, and when it did show up I plopped in a battery and sure as sh!t it worked flawlessly lol. Heros outdoors was going to scam me outta a perfectly working airsoft gun.
They don't care about customer service or being decent human beings.

DON'T TRUST. This supplier sold me an item that they clearly did not have in stock. When I tried to get a refund I was totally ignored. I had to dispute the charge with TD in order to get my money back. FYI disputes have to be filed in 30 days or less. Terrible company and judging by other reviews this is not uncommon. STAY AWAY!

Ordered two Enfield slings that were advertised on their website as “authentic military issue” at double the price of the reproduction slings.
When I received the order they were obviously reproduction slings.
Sent emails to the customer service contact and got nothing but crickets - zero response.
I then noticed that their website states that there are no returns on online orders. WTH is that. No customer service on anything ordered online?
I even offered to take a store credit for the difference in value of the slings, but again zero response.
Too bad, I have ordered numerous items from them over the years with total satisfaction until now.
I guess they don’t care they are losing a good customer.

Illegal place can't wait to put my claim in don't go here still waiting on items and if you are gonna chance it with them know your consumer rights so garenteed to get all money back

I have used this company a few times with mixed results. When stock is out getting a refund is difficult. They offer credit instead. I had to go through pay pal the last ( and final) time.

Absolute scam of a company, ordered over 750 in items, half didn't arrive, waited 4 months and kept waiting. Everything was supposed to be in stock, then they contacted me again saying that I had to pay another 100$ in shipping to send the rest of my items. Had to open a case in PayPal to try get my money back

i orderer a bark river psk. they listed the knife with 6 different handles. they offered my a other knife. i sayed i want my money back. they refunded the money but kept 14 $ for a mistake they made.the knifes are still listed. i would call that a scam.

I ordered a holster for an 8" revolver and received one for a six inch revolver. Still waiting for the moon clips i ordered 2 months ago. Had the same problem with a bb gun a couple of years ago. They advertise things they don't have in stock. If they actually have the item it will cost you a lot more than other places. Upwards of over $100.00 more.Do yourself a favour and go to Air Gun Source. Good prices and knowlagable staff.

This company is atrocious. I ordered a Leatherman Wave+, along with other additional Leatherman products. I got an email from them saying the item was no longer in stock, and that if I wanted to I could exchange it for a more expensive product they had in stock. I said no, that if they didn't have the item I had ALREADY PAID FOR, that I would be requesting a refund. I paid for the Leatherman on September 24th, 2022. The date of this review is December 31st, 2022.

Again I checked the website and it showed the product to be available. Ordered it and several days later got a note saying that it is not in stock and wanted me to purchase something else!! Second time I have fallen for this. I think it is just a front where they take your money and then look for the product?? Terrible.

I've not received my order for 6 months now, haven't been able to get ahold of anyone on their team either. They need a better network to reach them and to update customers on their orders.

They claim on their website that they have stock so you place an order to then find out it’s a “special order”. Still after waiting weeks you don’t get your product and no refund. Had to make a claim through my credit card to get my money back. Stay away.

They don’t ship your item and keep your money and ignore your inquiries, end up having to open a claim on PayPal. Keep away wish I had read a few reviews before ordering.

I ordered a pair of Mukluk Liners. Wool. Specifically asked that they check for a matched pair as sometimes they are thrown in the wash/dryer and get shrunk.
Sure enough, I got one size 12 and the other marked 12 but fits like an 11.
Their Solution - I can order a 2nd pair that they will make sure are BOTH 12s and will give them to me for 1/2 price plus shipping.
So original price was $41.98 delivered and now it will be about another 30 for 2nd pair.
Do NOT waste your time/money with these fools.
