I had a pretty good experience with hero outdoors I ordered a benchmade knife that they never had in stock around the 1st of july and I just received it on August 30 so I am happy so far however it would be a better experience if they was a little better at getting back to your emails and phone calls but in all a fairly good review

They are just a fraud!
No product, no communication!
Now I'm trying to get my money back

Don't waste your time and money with hero outdoors I try to order a benchmade knife online, I received no confirmation email or any indication of purchase on my account.I looked on my credit card history they charge me for three knives witch I really want just the one. I have try to email them and phone to deal with situation no response at all.Hero outdoors haven't send me anything so now I am stuck dealing with credit card company for a chargeback for $919.95.
Personally disappointed with this company, I have good experience back in the past but now I just feel scammed.

I put in an order at the end of July.. the 25th in fact & they have already taken the money.
First..no response to my follow-up email.
Second..they do nothing to give you the status of your items.
Third..its almost a month & I live in the same city & there is no effort to even get back to me.
I check daily now which is a huge headache.

I paid for a knive on line via e transfer asked for an update on their website was told it could be a month. I responded that I could not wake that long and asked for a full refund. That was the last time I could get ahold of them. Sent a multitude of emails and made a lot of phone calls no luck. The list of bad reviews have pretty much the same pattern they take you money and no communication. This us an organized Freud skem. I will be filing a complaint with the RCMP and also Canada Consumer Complaints I am not going to be taken by these scrupulous people. To the other complaintents don't give up.

Please......Do NOT buy from them.

I found a way to give a no star review. I have taken my info to the RCMP. Taking money and not giving goods or services is theft. I have completed the 4 hour process of phoning my credit card company to get my money back. I have seen the same pattern of practice in reviews back to 2017. In the words of Chuck D, "When I get mad, I put it down on a pad."

Its very easy to hate on this company. Many people seemed to have negative experiences with Hero Outdoors. However, my last two experiences have been easy and cost-effective. The Pros ultimately out height the cons for this wholesaler, one thing that no company can beat (Other than wish on some items) is their prices. For the same items you can buy at other stores you can get a significant discount at Hero Outdoors. You should use them if you are in a budget and have spare time before you need your items. The only real issue I've found with Hero Outdoors is their shipping times (my first order took 2 weeks to arrive and my second order about 1 month). Although in the end it was totally worth it because I saved over 50$ on both my first $100 order and second order of $250. In conclusion they have many items for airsoft that other places either don't have or will take 6 months to ship. if you have the time to wait a bit before receiving your items then Hero Outdoors is perfect if you want to save money. Everything I've received was in perfect quality, not tamped with and was exactly what was explained on the website. Some specific items that I ordered would of taken 4 months to ship on amazon, and if I wanted it within a week it would have a 30$ markup. All I have to say is do you research and if your on a budget, checkout the prices on Hero Outdoors.

Cancelled my credit card after reading the reviews on this site, received everything in 9 days in good condition. Looks like they upgraded service, will buy again

Same here wish I could leave no stars, just researching how to complain about the BBB as they accept the COVID excuse way to easily. Do your research and you`ll see this company is base on fraudulent practice. I`m looking to launch a civil claim in the courts to teach them a lesson. They should not be in business and any website that allows them to promote themselves should also be investigated. It`s not rocket science just do youe research and you`ll see this is a fraudulent company. Please lobby Doug Ford as this should not be allowed to go on.

Just a warning how this business try to close the PayPal complaint without sending the full order to the customer. On Apr 26 I bought several items from them and I did not heir from them since that day. after I loose the patient trying to get any information (sending several emails using their order status email, trying several times to get somebody on the phone using their phone number) on May 11 I escalated that to PayPal resolution center. On May 21 they provided the tracking number of the parcel which is not Canada Post tracking number, claiming that the order is shipped, at the same time sending to me the updated order (that is fortunately their automated service) stating that one item is not a part of that shipment. After my complaint to PayPal that the tracking number they provided to PayPal is not Canada Post tracking number, they provided the valid tracking number. I received the partial order at the beginning of June, and as they informed PayPal that the full order is shipped and received providing Canada Post confirmation of delivery, PayPal closed the complaint. Of course, they did not tell to PayPal that one item is missing (the 1/3 value of the whole order) and they probably hoped that it will not be possible to reopen the closed case (as per PayPal policy), but they were wrong, PayPal reopen the case and I hope that PayPal will provide refund to me for the missing item and hopefully, revoke their PayPal account to prevent them to continue luring customers in "buying" stuff from their web site.

Hero Outdoors charged my credit card for an order I placed on its website, however after 20 days of waiting in vain for the order to be fulfilled and not receiving a response following multiple inquiries for a delivery estimate/fulfillment update, it has become clear that this business is either failing or is actively involved with scamming its customers.

The likelihood of the latter being the case is supported by multiple complaints lodged against this business by other (similarly affected) customers at a variety of online review sites. While Hero Outdoors has stated publicly that the majority of its order fulfillment/customer service issues stem directly from circumstances outside of its control (i.e. COVID-19), a cursory review of the complaints lodged against them reveals that they have an established track record of charging for products that are never delivered/received, which extends well before the Coronavirus outbreak began a few months ago.

Furthermore, Hero Outdoors’ typical response to its customers when openly challenged with these concerns appears to be doing anything it can to avoid providing a full refund or to deliver the products actually ordered. For example, this business will often ship out a small portion of the outstanding order and then fail to send the remainder, forcing the customer to continue waiting for items that will likely never arrive (if the customer is eventually given the opportunity to cancel their order, then they will need to pay a 20% restocking fee and ship back the items that they received (at their own expense) if they hope to see a refund). Hero Outdoors will also send substitute items for products that are out-of-stock, sometimes without informing the customer beforehand. There are also multiple reports of deliveries being sent, or refunds given, that do not correspond to reality (i.e. they are never received by the customer), prompting the need to initiate lengthy restitution proceedings through banks, credit card companies, etc.

In short, either Hero Outdoors is outright deceiving its clientele about the availability of its “in stock” items (presumably because they are drop shipping many of their products from another source), or it is committing outright fraud by selling products it doesn’t actually have/have ready access to. They also appear to employ bait-and-switch tactics when they are unable to provide/source an item they've sold, and are chronically unresponsive/uncooperative with their clientele when legitimate concerns over their excessive wait times invariably arise. Either way, this is a scam, and a reprehensible way to be conducting business.

I really wish the reviews came first. I think these guys in Oshawa are scamming people. No orders being fulfilled or sent out. No communication on those orders be it big or small. Once again buyers remorse.

Me and my brother ordered for over 1500$ on june 4 still awaiting fullfillment! . No tracking no nothing ! My question is ... has anyone received there items and if yes after about how much time ? After all those reviews im startimg to think we may need to ask for a refund ! Any advice guys ???

Update : After searching more info seem they at least post a message explaining delays !

they created a shipping label and still have the order Canada post did not get the package yet to ship!!
funny how when I gave them a bad review I get a email saying my order is shipped!

One word GARBAGE, Sent me a damaged item, that they knew was damaged. NEVER returned my emails.Then requested thru "PAYPAL" that i return item at my expense before refunding. If I would have, I'm sure they would have stated that they never received returned item.
Shop elsewhere, this is the cesspool of on-line marketplace. Don't BUY anything here, go elsewhere.
I have had thousands of on line transactions all over the world, from Russia, China, Australia, Europe, etc. THIS IS THE NUMBER 1 WORST EVER EXPERIENCE FOR ON-LINE BUYING. Walk Away PLEASE

Horrible shopping and customer service experience. I purchased several knives online from them in April, I attempted to contact them to amend the order and then later cancel when I discovered incorrect shipping details. There was no response from numerous attempts to call, email, message within the order system, and even facebook. I then requested for the order to be cancelled after a week since ordering. I finally got a response on facebook in May which only stated that I needed to send an email to the address that I was already trying to contact them on. The order shipped and was subsequently not received, as a result of incorrect shipping details, despite numerous attempts on my part to change and then cancel. Seriously Jeff, if you can take my money, use incorrect shipping details and then knowingly ship the items after not responding to my concerns then you do not deserve to stay in business.

FRAUD- DO NOT ORDER

Thank god for this website. Before I committed to the purchase I decided to review the company. I eliminated all information that I entered to set up a client profile. I deleted everything from my in basket as well. Then I got an email saying that I forgot something. I Deleted it and blocked them. Then 10 days later I got an email saying my order has been shipped!

FRAUD!!!! I checked my credit card and they charged my card 5 times on May 30th and then they charged my card again last night! I was not on their website at all. I sent emails and called but no answering machine or busy. I cancelled my card and I want to get the RCMP involved.

Took my money. Then sent me an email telling me the product I purchased is out of stock. Never received a refund.
