We bought this video doorbell on local deals not knowing how BAD the quality of the video would be! Video is glitchy and will pick up cars driving by but not a person coming to the door, I don’t get that at all! Would NOT recommend this video doorbell! Save your money!

Bad customer service
Doesn’t work worth it and the employees can’t do their job right it costs so much and it doesn’t even pick up license plates of people vandalizing my stuff. I don’t recommend these people they are not intelligent people Period
Would not recommend this company
The doorbell camera works well given the price but the real snag to be wary off is that they offer a 1 year free trial of their subscription upon purchase BUT there is no way to cancel unless you call or email.
Despite what the name of the company may infer, they don’t actually appear to be an Australian company so the number to call provided on the app is an international number which means unless you want to pay for an international call, the only way to cancel is by email.
The cost of the subscription is also in USD but not advertised as such, so when they say it’s $23 you’ll actually get charged around $36AUD & they don’t respond to their emails when you try to cancel.
I’ve emailed them 3 times to cancel & request a refund, it’s been a month and no one has responded to ANY of my emails.
I had to contact my bank to get a new card & block any future transactions from them so they couldn’t charge me it again.
Before this experience I would have recommend the camera doorbell as a cheap option but after this extremely poor display of customer service & ethics I’d actually urge people to steer clear of this company.
Worst system don’t buy.
Worst system spend the money on a real remote camera system. Crappy video doesn’t provide any security or consistency with when it records. Tossed mine in the trash total crap product don’t waste your money.
This company is a fraud
This company is a fraud - we deactivated devices in 2021 and have been getting charged annually every year - now they tell me the subscription wasn't canceled?! How do you charge someone with no active device? I have been fighting with them to get my money back and they won't return it. This company is a fraud!
An absolute terrible product
If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. The only thing this has going for it is that fact that it's $20 at Walmart, that's it. Other than that this is a terrible product an am even uglier wall decoration. Images/ gifs never load all you get is a black screen or they don't even load at all which happens 98% of the time. The customer server is atrocious. Absolutely atrocious. They do not help in any way possible. Instead they blame the customer. Rather provide support they tell you your internet is the issue. Well from me to kangaroo I have fiber. That means my internrt is over kill to even run your trash product. I solved my problem with this product by throwing it away and spending the extra money on a Google doorbell that goes with the rest of my Google products. So if you are trying to save some money and are thinking about buying this product. DON'T. Save your $20 and buy a ring doorbell or Google home door bell. Don't waste your money on this. Oh and finally all these micro transaction? Do I believe by any means that kangaroo will do anything about stole items? No I don't. Like the fact that they provide false hope behind a $99 paid plan is appalling. You can't even assist your customers what makes you think any of them trust you enough to handle stole items. The whole app is a micro transaction which you don't find out about untill you buy the trash product. Pay to have video pay to protect your front porch pay this pay that. Know what I spent on a Google? The price of the door bell no extra plan no micro transactions need.
All in all do not trust this company do not waste your time nor money on this company. They just on a band wagon they weren't ready for it 100% shows in the trash products they push out.
Rip Off
This was a great camera until it quit working. they sent a replacement, after setting it up we were blocked from viewing our photos from previous days. and they charged our cc without our permission. i dont need to pay for the cloud when i already have it and no one has called me back to answer why they did this.

Little kids work in customer service…
My most important videos were expired after 2 weeks in my cloud that I paid $99.00 to have!! No where does it say videos expire. I called customer service to retreive the expired videos and the crazy CS woman did not help me and went into my cloud and made all expired videos disappear only showing deleted videos by me. Then she put expired videos back because I called her out (in emails) for each thing she did to my cloud. She put back, in my cloud, videos I deleted so I know she can give me the important expired videos back. Also dates are changed. Crazy one changed when I added my camera/started my service. She will not return my $99.00. **Your cloud is not private** I cannot get my money back for the items I purchased. Over $200.00. Including the camera I purchased in a retail store. I am so unhappy.

Bought the doorbell plus chime in April. It's early August and it won't pair. Tried resetting it. Replacing the batteries. Nothing works and you can't get a reply from Kangaroo about warranty. Don't waste your money. Spend a little more money for something that works properly.

Poor quality products and impossible to cancel.
The products from Kangaroo security are of poor quality. Support will replace a product when you complain and the replaced product has the same flaw.
The biggest kicker for me was an auto renewal of a subscription i have been trying to cancel. The chat service does not cancel the subscription, you cannot cancel the subscription via the app and the phone customer service will not pick up the phone. I left a voicemail as instructed and they never called back.
I am tempted to call kangaroo security a scam.

Not even sure how I can give a negative number review. DO not, I REPEAT DO NOT purchase anything from this company. Their products suck! I can not leave for 5 minutes without some false alarm. They have repeatedly replaced bad products for bad products. Not one thing about any product is good and I bought i ALL products. The privacy cam failed to capture my movement (on top of other bugs). The customer service agent gaslit me and said that their system didn’t fail. Then, they said a firmware fix would take 12-24 hours. I am in the process of asking for a refund.
