Two Complaints

Complaint #1: I purchased my 2015 Chev/Volt Hybrid/Elec Car on 7/19/20. When I came home I noticed I did not have the cars Charging Cable. I tried contacting HGREG 3 times by phone, and went directly to voice mail each time. On 7/31/20, when my Mother came home from vacation, we immediately went in person to HGREG in West Palm Beach, FL. We spoke with Sean DeVito the General Manager and explained. He stated that the car does not come with a car Charger, Hybrid/Elec. Car. I know has a fact that the original owner purchased the car with a charger. After arguing with Mr. DeVito, he finally agreed to pay $150.00 toward the charging cable. I contacted the local Chev. dealer and they wanted $650.00 for a new one. I could not afford this. I spent one (1) week researching and asking a lot of questions to find the right charger to purchase for this car. I finally found one for $200.00. I lost $50.00 plus one weeks personal time. Not Fair to me. Complaint #2: On 7/31/20 I cancelled my gap insurance and Extended Warranty. At that time, we spoke with Armando Betance/Finance Mgr to do so. On 8/28/20 I contacted my current Finance Company "Ally" and they indicated they did not receive payment of $4,430.49 from HGREG. I then e-mailed HGREG and Mr. Betance told me that it takes 5-7 weeks to send my money. WHY? Does this benefit the Dealer? Mr. Beatance said this is company Policy. again WHY? On 9/16/20 I contact "Ally" again to see if the payment was received. Once again, they indicated NO. It is now 8 weeks. I feel the public needs to be aware of their wrong treatment to the public. I have been more than patient.

I would like to be compensation for the $50.00 and for my personal time. I am a Mother of 2 children without child support and no time to waste. Money is very sensitive and important to my current situation. I would like HGREG to send my money to Ally and find me a lender who will refinance the car an lower interest rate and lower balance. = Payment I will be filing this complaint with Consumer Credit and Review about HGREG as well. I feel the public should be aware. Thank you for listening and taking your time.

LET US DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

Why dont we do a class action lawsuit against them? If interested, please email me: Jamrockylee-AT-Gmail.com

Giving 1 star because there is nothing lower. Purchased a BMW in March and was sold a warranty that I was told was the best they had, the premium! Purchased the car and mentioned to the dealer that the tires are bald. They promised me 2 new back tires and said I just needed to come back in they would have them ordered. Went back to location 2 times, still my tire size is not in stock. After only a month the car's gas tank could not open and the car could not be charged, it being a hybrid. took the car to BMW, learned that the car was in a bad accident that also affected the air conditioning.
BMW also pointed out the severe safety hazard as not only were the 2 back tires bald, the two front ones were improperly mounted inside out and presented an increase risk of skidding or even hydroplaning. It took 3 more visits to the West Palm Beach Store before I was handed two tires that I had to go and have changed myself and pay out of pocket to do so.
Since then, after only driving the car 5000 miles since purchasing it in March, the rear air springs are now leaking and the back of the car is basically sitting on the rim. The BMW dealer reached out to the warranty company to have them cover only to be now told that the warranty I purchased only covers engine and transmission and is NOT the extension of the manufacturer's warranty as I was sold. The warranty paper work has no truth in disclosures as it simply says "a la carte" and that you have to call for coverage. Now I am $2400 out of pocket. spoke to the store manager and even the liason for the warranty company Rob who advised that HGreg should either upgrade my warranty or refund me the amount I paid for warranty. I was told by the finance manager that they cannot upgrade me, even when i offered to pay for the warranty upgrade which is another $2000. I have been calling for two days to get the refund on the amount I paid for the warranty and I am unable to reach anyone.

Besides the obvious road safety issue which is being reported to the Florida Department of Highway and Motor Vehicles, their selling practices are deceptive and deplorable. There is no customer service or anyone to take account for anything! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!

Worst Dealer

I had the worst experience with HGreg. I purchased a 2019 Nissan Maxima with a clean credit fax report. Two days after purchasing I called and took the vehicle back because I noticed a gap in the right back tail light and over all look of the vehicle. The HGreg sales person assured me they would be taking the car to a professional body shop which they trusted and will make all the necessary repairs. After a few days the car was return to me and I asked what the issue. The sales person inform le there were no issues with the car, no signs of an accident and that all the repairs were done to the vehicle. I recently noticed a crack in the paint in the same area of concern. I took my car to a body shop and they told me in less than 5 minutes that the vehicle had been clearly in a car major car accident. They also showed me the poor job they did to attempt to cover the damage which was a temporary fix with bondo putty (almost 1/2 inch of bondo putty was used). The chrome accent were glued with crazy glue and they used carpentry screws to hold everything together. The body shop can't believe a person would do that to a car. I contacted the Orlando Manager Carlos who didn't care to hear and hung up on me. I then proceeded to speak with Mateo at the corporate office who was nice but then even after I provided proof sent me an email saying they wouldn't take responsibility and that all their cars are sold As Is. I wouldn't reccomend anyone to buy a car from this place. They will sell you anything just to make a buck with no care in the world of the car's condition. They buy their cars at auctions and sell them as is. They don't care to do inspections and leave it up to the customer to check every inch of the vehicle in 3 days. This has been the worst experience! Stay away from this dealer!!!

I bought a car from HGreg.com and it…

I bought a car from HGreg.com and it was a manual. Two months later the clutch went out. The mechanic told me, FH Gregg actually did an inspection they would’ve known the clutch was bad. When calling HGreg and letting them be aware of it they told me too bad unfortunately there’s nothing we can do for you. I would never recommend or allow any of my friends, coworkers, family, and clients to ever buy a car from HGregg.com. They sell cars that are defective and they know about it as well go somewhere else you’ll get a better deal.

Sold a useless warranty and car with…

Sold a useless warranty and car with prior unrepaired AC damage. This is my 2nd car from the dealer. The 1st vehicle sold to me needed the axle fixed. In January I visited the dealer with a pre-approved loan from Capital one. I test drove the car around the block (under 45mph) and after 3.5 hours completed my purchase. During the purchase the finance guy, Johnny, sold me an extended warranty which he led me to believe covered repairs that the factory warranty would not. When we left the car was shaking on the highway but the dealer had already closed so I called the next day to express my concern and desire to get a different car. The salesperson, Manuel, told me they needed to try to fix it and that it just sounded like a minor repair. He transferred me to the service department and they scheduled me for their first available time which was 10 days later. When I returned 10 days later and they told me the axle needed to be repaired and that I could leave and drive until the parts came in I refused the offer and demanded a new car. We took my current car on the highway for a test drive so we could try it out over 50 mph. The car was slightly shaky so we returned to the dealer and I was told the wheels needed to be balanced and to come back in a week. During this visit the finance manager told me he would need to switch the car on my loan, but I didn't need to wait for him to do it. He would take care of it and call me when it was done. Days passed and I didn't hear anything. I looked at my Capital One app and the loan was still for the old car. When I reached out to Capital One they did not know I no longer had the first car and said the dealer needed to call them. I then reached out to Johnny in finance and he told me he was still working on it. A week passed and still no communication until Johnny reached out saying I should call capital one to confirm the new car swap. I didn't think much of it and called Capital One. A month later I checked my credit report to make sure everything was in order and I noticed that they did not switch the car out on the loan they opened a brand new loan. The dealer paid the old loan off and ran my credit AGAIN to open the loan for the second car. In fact they also ran my credit for another company during my initial visit even though I had pre-approval. NONE of this was communicated to me. Fast forward 7 months later, I drove the car to the doctor and realized the AC wasn't working. I remembered I had the extended warranty and reached out to see how it works. The rep for United Car Care was very rude and told me the car was under factory warranty so they wouldn't do anything for me. He told me the plan was void when the car is still under a factory warranty. I then reached out to the dealer and they told me the same thing, but I should bring the car in to check out the AC because anything that is mechanically wrong with it would be under the warranty. 3 hours after dropping my car off, the dealer called to ask if I had been in an accident. I immediately disputed his claim until I realized the car had been in a "minor" accident before I bought it. The service department explained the AC discharge hose was crushed from an accident and was not repaired/replaced. My options were to file a claim with my insurance company or to pay out of pocket. I called HGREG over and over again, probably about 30 times and all I got were voicemails that were full and I was even disconnected several times. After 3 days I finally asked the dealer to fix it because I need my car . The cost was almost $900..not to mention I just replaced the battery about a month ago; and I don't even drive that much because I work from home and because of the pandemic! Not only did I receive a damaged car, I was sold a useless warranty for coverage that I already have. When I inquired with the warranty company about cancelling, they said I have to go through the dealer. I have contacted them several times and haven't received anything. I am extremely disgusted with this service.

Don't waste your time!

I'm offering one star only because it requires one to write a review, but if it were up to me, I wouldn't have included a star at all.
My family is transitioning from FL to AR. We planned to purchase a family vehicle before we made the move. I moved in advance of my family to begin work, so we chose a vehicle, confirmed it was still in stock, and we scheduled a test drive. I flew in from Arkansas, DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, to Orlando. We test drove the vehicle and liked it. They ran my credit. We agreed to the terms. I filled out all the required paperwork and offered my pre-approval of financing and proof of insurance. Because I had to return to work, I took a flight back to Arkansas that same day, and was told that everything would be sent to me the next day via FedEx. Well, I never received it. I didn't receive a callback either, so I reached out to my salesman, but received no response. I called again the following day and my salesman, Pedro, said that he was off for the day and couldn't help me, but advised I call the dealership. I called the dealership and learned that Jonathan in Finance, who I was working with originally, was no longer working on my deal, so they transferred me to another finance professional, whose name I can't recall but he texted me from a palm beach phone number ending in 3874. He said he would get everything over to me. He confirmed everything including my address. I heard nothing back after that. I called and texted, but received no response. I received a call the next day from Vincent Abbott who informed me that the vehicle had been sold to someone else. I was livid. He offered to reimburse me for my flights, but I told him that we needed a vehicle and were getting closer and closer to our move date. They had already run my credit, so I asked to explore other vehicles in their inventory. He welcomed me to look at other vehicles and agreed to work with me, considering the circumstances. After that call, I sent Vincent a list of vehicles that I was considering. My family arranged test drives and we chose two, however, Vincent stopped communicating with me. At this point I am beyond frustrated. I get an email from him a couple of days later saying that he had a family health emergency. Given what's going on in the world, I empathized and reset. I asked Vincent to reach out when he could, but he never did. I called Hgreg.com, and spoke with Francisco Oliva. I explained everything in detail. He said that he was the correct person to speak to because he handled online, out-of-state sales. He asked me to offer him a list of vehicles. I did. Considering this is already a really long review, I'll just put it this way, Francisco used our shared military background to gain my trust, and lost it after a week because, like his colleagues before him, he was unresponsive. My last text to him was 5/22. He said he would get back to me, but hasn't. I know Hgreg.com is still selling vehicles because the inventory is ever-changing. Given the chaos and frustration, and more importantly, my need to move the family to our new home, I started looking at other dealers. My advice, BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE. IT'S NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE!

When is a SIGNED

When is a SIGNED, PAID contract NOT a contract? When you buy from Hgreg

Bought a car. signed ALLLLLL the paperwork and left a check THAT THEY CASHED. Due to CoronaVirus and the lag time of offices between insurance and a small drivers license issue it was a few days before I got back to pick it up. The salesman checked in with me and me with them...and the finance guy too.... so everyone was on the same page.

Told them I was coming in and WHEN I GOT THERE they told me that they had sold MY CAR (again, contracts signed, check cashed) to SOMEONE ELSE to day before.

And even though they cried "it was an accident, we're so sorry" -- you can't convince me that:
a) when they looked in the computer and saw that MY car's VIN numbered showed up as SOLD and
b) Someone physically removed the SOLD STICKER that was on my car (as evidenced in a photo just the day before from my salesman)

..that this was "an accident". Every deal is approved by a manager so this was VERY DELIBERATE.

NEVER buy from @HGreg.

NEVER.

Lawyers are being engaged.

Very Disappointed

First let me start out by saying that the staff at West Palm Beach location was great! on the same day that I bought my car, I got stranded 150 miles away from my home in the middle of nowhere at night. Had to wait for 45 minutes in the dark at the side of a highway for AAA or police to show up. When AAA finally showed up, all car places were closed, so I had to wait till the next day to take it to a dealership. I had been on my way to work an event (it's what I do for a living) and lost at least 1k in revenue. Dealership kept my car for an entire week because they had to order a part, so I had to drive back there to pick it up.
HGreg customer service did nothing for me and quoted me the 3 day guarantee, even though I had no way of getting my car back to West Palm.
Not good!!

Drove from West Palm Beach to Doral 4…

Drove from West Palm Beach to Doral 4 times in succession only to be lied to at 11:35 pm by a member of their finance team. Deceptive practices, bate and switch financing and outright misrepresentation. Spoke with the bank who initially gave the approval only to understand they gave one approval and it was switched by finance once the papers where printed. You have got to watch out for the lies they tell you and manner in which they will waste your time and try hard to manipulate you into their unethical practices.

FRAUD ALERT

FRAUD ALERT - NO 3 DAY Guarantee!!! Blatant false advertising, submitted for investigation to the Florida Attorney General. READ THE CONTRACT you are buying a car WITHOUT a 3-day guarantee and anything they tell you or on their website is false advertising and almost comical because its such a blatant lie but what else do you expect from a used car dealer who knows nothing about their vehicles and blasts samba music. They spent 3 hours with 2 'managers' trying to convince me to drop $24,000 by signing their agreement that in bold letters makes a final AS IS sale with no guarantee.

I purchased a vehicle from HGreg three weeks ago and I still do not have a title. The vehicle was shipped across the country with no paperwork. A hidden fee of 900 was applied to my purchase. After the sale no one would help me with shipping. Not having a title has been a disaster. The general manager Albert Jrade makes promises and then I do not hear from him without calling him back. I have been lied, put off and treated so unfairly.

Bought a car a year ago from them

Bought a car a year ago from them, and I just sold my car back and Autocheck shows it had 2 accidents even though Carfax didn't. What a bunch of shysters. Before buying a car here be sure to check Autocheck!!!! I will never buy here again!!!!!!!!!! They definitely knew so they only showed me Carfax which didn't show the structural accidents. I hope these tools go out of business! I got HALF the value selling it back because of this. Thanks HGREG!!! and the guy said HGREG cars are notorious for this, so it's not just my experience!
