Watch out for auto renew

This auto renewed when I didn't want it but after a few emails I have been refunded so they're not so bad after all 😊 I still think it would be a good thing to let people know a renewal is upcoming though!

Absolutely appalling customer service

Absolutely appalling customer service. Hiiker took a renewal payment from my account with zero warning — no reminder email, no notification, nothing. I wasn't given the chance to decide whether I even wanted to renew, they just helped themselves to my money.

To make matters worse, when I tried to resolve this I was completely ignored. Emails went unanswered. Support tickets disappeared into a void. Not a single response.

This is not how a legitimate business treats its customers. Taking payments without prior notice and then refusing to engage when challenged is, frankly, disgraceful. I would strongly advise anyone considering Hiiker to think twice — and if you do sign up, make sure you cancel your payment method well in advance, because they clearly cannot be trusted to communicate renewals properly.

I'll be pursuing this further. Avoid.

Renewal payment taken with no warning

After paying for a 1 year subscription my auto renewal payment (which I didn’t know I had) was taken without any communication beforehand. I feel duped into this payment of £29.99. The email I sent bounced back so no contact details. Making customers feel unfairly charged is not good marketing for a business, as word gets around.

Hiiker auto-renewed my subscription without notification.

I had a subscription in 2025. The Hiiker app is fine but I didn't use it much and didn't intend to renew. When I signed up, Hiiker didn't tell me the subscription would auto-renew. They didn't warn me when they were about to charge for this year and didn't notify me when they had charged. When I contacted them I got an automated acknowledgment but they haven't replied.

Great customer service. Web version needs work.

Gosh. First person to write a review for this company. There are two issues, one good, one less so, and one suggestion.
Firstly, without exception, the customer service for this company has been outstanding throughout. Emails are always answered. Help is always there with suggestions on how to do something, and even the CEO and CXO reply directly and quickly if they can help. Exceptional service!
Sadly, I had a couple of issues with the web version when running on a Linux system which as they realise is becoming more and more common, especially Linux Mint and Zorin OS since the Windows fiasco of October 2025. The app works well on Android and iOS phones and the desktop works on Windows and Mac, however, I would not recommend the company if you use Linux on your desktop. Hopefully they will address this fully soon and it is with their developers. A small suggestion is that, unlike Outdoor active, you cannot tag trails as "walking" or "horse-riding" or "sailing" as an example. This causes problems when you want to calculate the total amount of walking you have done for your statistics.
In summary - great company but web version needs work. Maybe give it a year or so?
