In the 12 years that I have been a Recruiter at this firm, I have found Monster to be cumbersome to use. Right away I began to use Career Builder because it is so fluid, and has continued to update through the years. I felt that Monster was lagging WAY behind and only recently made any changes to update its service. I'm too pleased with Career Builder to make any kind of change, in spite of the updates that I have viewed on Monster.

I have experienced success with finding qualified candidates for my Medical assistants, front desk and some nursing candidates; however, for higher-level candidates such as Nurse practitioners or Physician Assistants, I typically have seek them elsewhere.

Review

Most of the resumes don't have the contact details.
Like other job portals, in Monster we are unable to identify candidate visa status like EAD/GC/TN/E3/H1/Citizens.

Monster last place I use to source

I don't like that I can't just click from one resume to the next without going back to search page. It's inefficient and cumbersome. This really keeps me from utilizing your site. Also there should be a way to filter work authorizations. I don't mind 3rd party resumes, I do mind when it's misleading to make me believe that I'm reaching out to a candidate when I'm really reaching out to an employer.

Don't get this platform unless you can spend big. Or if you're a specialized industry with a need for very specific skill sets. Paying for the basic package to start will give you a limited number of views and it makes you super cautious to even click on a resume, not knowing if Monsters "Power Resume Search" will actually give you what you ask for. You literally cannot apply the law of averages because you're simply limited in the number of candidates you can actually call. if you're a big agency who can negotiate unlimited view licenses, it's worth it. If not, save your money.

I hope we can open a resume on a different tab. And as far as I know, downloading each resume will deduct 1 view which is very inconvenient. I hope that rumor isn't true as we are unable to copy and paste the whole resume since it's posted as an image.

Lastly, I hope you can add a field in the results page where we can see each candidate's work authorization.

Lousy Ad Response

Despite modifying my job listing with the suggestions of a monter.com rep, I have not received a single viable applicant. Our job is in northern California and is very plainly labeled as such. All applicants have been from southern California and none have met the minimum job requirements for experience and education.

As a Recruiter that's used Monster…

As a Recruiter that's used Monster since 2014, this new update has been awful. This Update has taken away the competitiveness of my Job & I'm losing $$ because of it. Candidates that post today aren't found until 2 days from now. I can't select candidates that Post TODAY, it's frustrating.

I'm a huge believer in the Boolean Search it's accurate. Now when I use my Boolean Search, highlighted words aren't popping up, I insert my Mechanical Engineering Boolean Search into the Semantic Search, & Nurses, Coaches, Cashiers are coming up.

There's more buttons, clicks, & reading that I'm doing on this New Platform & I'm losing Time & $$ because of it. You've gone from being the #1 Recruiting platform to being like Indeed, Zip Recruiter, & all the others. I hope you can make changes back to the Classic Search & get rid of all the extra clutter that the New Platform has. Thank you

Easy to use.
Better search results.
Good Pool of candidates.
The bad thing is that many of the resumes does not have their contact information mentioned in their resumes.
