Missing keys

I contacted Hiscox concerning missing keys for my case.
I was delighted they isolated the correct key set and posted me two replacements first class.
They fitted and worked flawlessly first time.
Absolute top marks!

Recently purchased a Pro II for a custom build. Fits like a glove. The case is light weight, but provides excellent protection for the guitar. Great communication with customer service, plus it was on my porch in Detroit in five days. Highly recommended 😎

I used my new Ivory coloured

I used my new Ivory coloured, Hiscox Strat/Tele case last Saturday. I felt so proud walking in to the club with it. The other members of the band where drooling over it and asking where I bought it. It is a beautiful thing.

My Hiscox case is nothing short of excellent. I had been using the original case with my Takamine but it was well past its best. This case is both robust and looks good. It makes me proud to own my Takamine again.

I was looking for a case for a 12…

I was looking for a case for a 12 string strat style guitar the headstock was longer than normal and it did not fit into a standard strat case. I took it to Hiscock who found a case big enough (standard Bass Case) and made alterations to it so the guitar fitted snugly in the case and didn't charge me any extra! The case is superb really solid and protects its already been dropped twice and no damage at all to the contents! Thank You Hiscock!

My Hiscox case melted and guitar ruined…

My Hiscox case melted and the lining fell apart - the acrid glue ruined the neck of my nitro-finished custom strat. The guitar was kept in a side bedroom at normal temperature, nothing abnormal.

I reported this to Hiscox directly, and followed up with three separate emails about it along with photographs. They never even bothered to reply to me.

I'd be very careful of trusting Hiscox to look after your precious guitar.

Update: Hiscox have since apologised for the error and sent me a new case. I'm pleased that they tried to sort the problem.

NIGHTMARE

Avoid this company they will take your money and not payout if you need to use your insurance. AVOID and use a different company. The staff at hiscox are rude, arrogant, never return your calls and keep you waiting on the phone for inappropriate amounts of time only to come back with request unfulfilled and empty promises of call backs that never come. They are very good at one thing. AVOIDING RESPONSIBILITY.

Waste of money until they improve and modify the lock

The company prides itself on the ability of each case being able to withstand the combined weight of half the workforce standing on it at the same time. All well and good for peace of mind when you wave your instrument goodbye at the airport. However, and this is a big fat decision-making however, the locks are useless and incredibly annoying. The 'key' just goes round and round in the lock, in either direction and may lock, if you're lucky, but then you can't get it out. More mindless turning and, there you go, it's in your hand but, in the process, it's unlocked the case! Repeat procedure over and over again. Most of the time the 'key' goes in at an angle and then just jams - are you beginning to get the picture? I've got 2 Hiscox cases with the same issue and musician friends have had the same problems. I wrote an email of complaint but, guess, what I never received a reply. DO NOT BUY A HISCOX GUITAR CASE!! Fender make a military grade moulded case for the same price and similar specifications - with a proper sturdy lock - so if you want to protect your instrument without the hassle of a stupid lock, buy the Fender.
