Gareth was really knowledgeable about WW2 and all the children were engaged all day. The day was well organised as usual and Gareth was friendly and easy to work with. Love these workshops every year :)

Rob visited our school for an amazing day focused on the Battle of Hastings. The children absolutely loved it! Who wouldn't want to form a defensive shield wall or advance on their friends with 'spears'?! Such an informative day and Rob was amazing, bringing a full archaeology session and even speaking in Olde English to the children - they were just fascinated by it all. Thank you! (This was our second Historic Workshop day and we will definitely book again)

We were absolutely delighted with the Ancient Egyptian workshop delivered by Bethany from Historic Workshops. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish.
The children were completely engaged and captivated from the very first moment, especially during the brilliant and highly entertaining mummification demonstration.
The activities provided were hands-on, educational, and fun:
• Becoming a Scribe: The children loved practicing their hieroglyphs.
• Egyptian Games: A great way to learn about the culture.
• Making Clay Amulets: A wonderful keepsake and creative activity.
Bethany's professionalism extended to the staff as well. She took the time to thoroughly brief all staff involved, ensuring everyone knew their role and felt fully prepared and organised. This made the logistics of the day run incredibly smoothly.
We highly recommend Historic Workshops and Bethany for an engaging, well-organised, and truly memorable educational experience!

Jess provided a high quality and interactive workshop. Jess spoke passionately about the subject area, the children throughly enjoyed their workshop activities. Activities included mock battle formation, Viking myths, archaeology and Viking games. All activities were well resourced and support and guidance were provided to a high standard. We would thoroughly recommend this workshop for others. Thank you for a wonderful day.

I did mention to Ed that the only thing I would say that needed improving was that some of the activities needed more than the class teacher in supporting the children - with them being young children (key stage 1).

Both pupils and staff thoroughly enjoyed the day! Rob had a wide range of engaging and interactive activities which captured and held the pupils' attention throughout the day. The pupils particularly enjoyed the session on stretcher bearers and exploring the wide range of artefacts and memorabilia. Highly recommended.

Gareth provided high-quality workshops for the children, inspiring them and sharing his passion for history. Resources for teachers were clear and the children had a fantastic day. Gareth went above and beyond to make sure all children learnt something new from the day.

We were lucky enough to have Jess visit and deliver Ancient Egyptian workshops. The kids loved it and the tone was perfect! Resources were all age appropriate and well explained. Would definitely recommend and will definitely book again! Thank you, Jess!

We had a great Stone Age workshop with Danny (Ug) today. He was friendly and fun, the children were laughing straight away - which engaged them ready to learn. They learned lots more facts about the stone age but also got to look at bones and artefacts, make weapons, have a go at cave art and do some archery too! A great day, highly recommended.

The whole day was well run; the children enjoyed the hands-on ARP activities and they loved looking at the artefacts, especially when they had the opportunity to try and guess what some of the mystery objects were.

It was a very interactive and informative workshop! The children enjoyed the activities and learned a lot more about The Great Fire of London. It was inclusive so all children could take part as well which was great.

Our Year 2 class absolutely loved the Great Fire of London workshop delivered by HistoricWorkshops! The session was engaging, informative, and perfectly pitched for the children’s age group. The activities were creative and hands-on — making pomanders and fire marks really helped the children connect with what life was like in 1666, and the “rebuilding London” activity encouraged teamwork and critical thinking. The workshop leader was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fantastic at keeping the children captivated throughout the session. It was a brilliant way to enrich our history topic and helped bring the Great Fire to life in a memorable and meaningful way. We would highly recommend HistoricWorkshops to any school looking for an interactive and educational experience!

Rob was amazing in our WW2 workshop today. The children enjoyed the session so much. He had so many artefacts and the activities were incredibly engaging. He was so knowledgeable and could answer any of the children's questions.

What a great way for our KS1 children to learn about The Great Fire of London! The activities kept the children engaged throughout the day. The day ran smoothly with all lessons being well planned for and resourced. The story telling was fantastic too.

Beth was amazing, she engaged the children well and made every activity interactive. The instructions were clear, the workshops let the children be creative and challenged them to problem solve.

They got an excellent immersion into the Stone Age World

We had a brilliant Ancient Egyptian day with Bethany! There was a range of engaging activities which all the children could access and enjoyed. Bethany was in role in the whole day which made the experience for the children even more real. All activities were clearly explained and set up to ensure the day ran smoothly. The feedback from the children was that they had “The best day ever”. One child gave it a 1000/5 review! We are already looking at booking for next year. Thank you for a great immersive day!

We had a great day with Rob leading our Roman Workshop! Everything was as described on the website - it was well organised and the day ran smoothly as arranged. He was very engaging with the children and shared his vast knowledge in a fun and informative way. All resources were well prepared and supplied, and the children thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities - especially the mock battle between the Celts and the Romans which was very well delivered.
