Non existent customer service

My HIYA App quit working March 2026. No answers to numerous emails requesting help. I cancelled service April 2026 and got an email that there is no refunds and I will not be cancelled until January 2027. So I have to pay the rest of the year for an App that doesn't work.

Extortionists

Hiya is actively marking all of our phone calls as spam and suspected fraud. We are a legitimate charity, and this nonsense company is hurting the good work we do. The only way to fix it, is to pay tens of thousands of dollar a month. That is a scam. That is fraud. That is extortion. This company should be chased out of the country - 100% un-Australian.

There should be a class action against…

There should be a class action against this company.

We are a legitimate business in Australia. This company is marking our phone numbers as Suspected Spam, and now Potential Fraud.

Damaging our ability to connect with customers.

Hiya is the real Fraud - create the problem & sell the solution. I met with them and they tried to sell their product (removing the spam labelling that they attribute). They claimed that just 3 reports or blocks flags a number as spam...

Absolutely ridiculous that they can damage so many businesses.

No customer support, NONE!

I don’t think about this app until it stops working. I have sent over a dozen emails to Hiya and have gotten nothing back.
Boo…. Hiya!
Did you abandon this app? Why am I still paying for a subscription that is not working?

Absolutely worthless

Absolutely worthless! Hyia failed to stop any spoofing calls on my iPhone. I checked and double checked the settings, looked over all the controls. If I could give it zero stars I would!

You’re better off adjusting the call settings on your iPhone. The feature sends calls not in your contact list directly to voicemail without your phone ringing all out…So effectively it screens non recognized numbers

Hiya is a scam

I'm in Real Estate in New Zealand. They marked my number as spam so when I call clients they assume I'm a spammer. How is it that some company in America has the right to tarnish my business reputation down here in NZ.

The government need to intervene

The government need to intervene. Hiya marked my personal mobile number as spam and thus made it so I couldn't call or text any of my friends. It was getting auto blocked as spam.

If someone maliciously reports your number as spam, that's it, they've effectively disabled your ability to use your phone to contact anyone. Unethical.

Hiya Abuses My Phone Number and Ignores Complaints

Hiya keeps wrongfully associating my phone number with different business names without my consent. As a result, when I call people, they see the wrong company name, causing serious confusion and damage to my professional reputation.

I have repeatedly requested that my number be permanently removed from their system. Every time, they promise to fix it, and for a while, it seems resolved. But then, months later, my number gets linked to yet another business name. This has now happened three times!

Even worse: Hiya does not listen. They have assured me multiple times that my number was permanently removed, yet they continue to reattach it to random businesses. This is a blatant violation of my privacy and an unacceptable practice.

I strongly warn everyone against trusting Hiya with their data. If they mishandle phone numbers like this, how can anyone be sure their other services are reliable? If this issue is not resolved permanently, I will be taking legal action against them.

SCAM ARTIST!

SCAM ARTIST!
They claim your phone numbers for your business are labeled as spam, they sell their blacklist to phone companies then when you go to tell them you are not spam and a legal business they try to make you pay them to get the numbers off the list. This is extortion and our company is giving them until the first of the year before we get our fancy lawyers to start a suit against them. We will cost them more than they would make trying to screw us with their extortion tactics.

Hiya Doesn’t Work

App doesn’t work on my iPhone 15 Pro. They took my annual fee and they have no customer service to ask for a refund. I would not recommend this app.

default samsung call blocker

This is the default samsung call blocker. It has a hit rate of 90%, so some calls slip through the filter, but I find it a bit more effective than alternative call blockers.

Samsung made them unethical

This company is what Samsung uses to provide information about callers that call up Samsung phones. We tried to update the name that comes up when we call our clients and this company said theyu charge minimum US$500 per month, I find that unethical.
