Used Howard from H J Residential surveys for a survey on a local house I’m purchasing, he was extremely professional in his approach to the project, and carried out a total 100% survey pointing out any problems that could arise, would totally recommend this company and what a great guy to work with Thanks Howard,

Myself and my company have used Howard on over 200 surveys, and he is brilliant. 5 stars!

I used HJresidentialsurveys for a structural survey on a property purchase in South Wales. The survey report came back stating an extension made from masonry, this ended up actually being made out of timber . This cost me around £18,500 in additional costs of rebuilding the extension.
Post this expensive oversight, Howard did not respond to my numerous emails asking for clarity on the issue. Everything was ignored.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this company for any sort of structural surveys you require for house purchases, they are incompetent.

I can’t recommend Howard highly enough. His survey was completed very speedily but it was extremely thorough.

Howard has carried out 2 full surveys for us now in different areas. On both occasions he was prompt in carrying out the surveys and producing the reports. The reports are incredibly detailed, professionally presented and gave us the knowledge we needed about the houses we were purchasing. He is always available post report to answer any questions or technical enquiries. I would recommend him without any doubt.

I can't recommend Howard highly enough. We looked at a number of different survey providers and collected quotes. Howard's prices were very reasonable which initially drew us towards him however it was Howard's attitude and helpfulness which eventually convinced us to instruct him for our survey. He's exceptionally polite and goes over and above to ensure you're getting the most value for money and the correct level of survey suitable for your property. Howard took full responsibility for arranging the survey with the owners of the property we are purchasing and undertook the survey in an extremely timely manner. Upon receiving the survey report, it was very obvious how much detail Howard goes into, fully explaining everything he identified. Howard clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and this shows in the high standard of work he produces. We already knew Howard was absolutely lovely and a pleasure to work with but it was also nice to have feedback from the owners of the property to also say what a lovely man he is.
