Uber comfort for wide feet at long last

Just bought my second pair of hobibear shoes

Despite being a slim person, runner, cyclist, swimmer I have very wide feet and really struggle to get a comfortable pair of casual shoes without getting clown shoes that are too long for me.

The first pair of hobibear shoes I bought are cool looking barefoot style shoes, I've had lots of comments positive about them but ignoring that they've just been so comfortable...foot freedom, like socks!

Only criticism of them I'd have is with the sole being absolutely minimalist it can be a bit hard underfoot on concrete / tarmac so not so great for long walks on that stuff.

I bought a new shoe with a slightly thicker sole and it's just about perfect, I could walk about town in these for an age in total foot comfort and reserve the others for hot days popping into a bar of a cafe.

No probs with durability they're just great

In terms of sizing, usually in places like Next or River Island in the UK I struggle to feel comfortable in a size 11 as they are just so narrow and then I end up with acres of extra lengths...the shoes just don't fit...with the hobibear I'm a really comfortable size 10 just perfect fit, no clown fit, no crushed toes, fine, comfortable, good....finally, at last....it's a big deal for me.

Terrible

Terrible. Wasted months chasing a refund. Does not actually accept any refunds after they get you to pay for international shipping for their mistake.

Absolute zero customer service

I ordered two pairs of shoes. Neither fit. Trying to even find a return option on their website was difficult at best. Then came the email from them about keeping the shoes, refunding some percentage and having me sell the shoes or give them to somebody as a gift instead of returning the shoes. Absolutely appalling and atrocious. Customer service is not a thing for them. Now I won't even buy the next size to see if they'll fit

I love my Hobibear shoes

I love my Hobibear shoes. I know there were complaints about poor quality, but I think they are great. They are incredibly comfortable and I wear them around the house. I normally don't wear shoes. I kick them off and wear flip flops. I forgot to take them off one day because my feet were just that comfortable. Mine were ordered through Walmart so shipping was a reasonable time and arrived as expected. I am very happy with my purchase and intend to buy more styles.

Horrible

Horrible. Ordered 3 pairs, very poor quality, material is all synthetic, your feet will definitely sweat in these shoes! Returning due to not true to size, customer service is atrocious. You have to send it to Germany, which they won’t pay, plus customs fees. Percsitanly keep offering me partial refund which isn’t relevant to me. Just bad all round..

Ideally I would give zero stars!

My mum wanted some new shoes and we found this site through Facebook; ordered two pairs size 6 and eventually they arrived but both were too small. Instead of being able to swap they offered sending out two new pairs. That's now red flag number 1 for me for any company: don't fall for new items rather than replacement or refund, the company has no intention of giving you your money back!
Try new pairs duly arrived and my mum has specifically sought out shoes that came in size 6.5. However whilst one pair fit fine the others were awful. When we looked at the packaging they said size 39 i.e. UK size 6 which wasn't what we asked for.
Numerous emails then went between us and the company, with them repeatedly saying the sizing was correct. It was then that I realised that their sizing is different for every single shoe, which completely goes against universal sizing standards. So you could choose a size 5 in one shoe and that would come up bigger than a size 6 in another style.
I believe they do this solely so they they can tell you that they have sent you the size you asked for and make it even more difficult for you to return.
We have tried to return the shoes: it cost a fortune to package them all up and send them back to Germany, and then yesterday the package was returned to us, no reason given.
So this time they win as neither my mum or I can be bothered to fight them over £40 when it'll cost that much to try and pursue the refund again.
If just one person reads this review though and avoids getting scammed that will be worth it though! Stick with companies you know and been rely on, and avoid this fraudulent scam company.

Shoes fell apart after 3 months

Shoes fell apart after 3 months. Response to issue was "out of warranty, no solution available".
They are cheap looking and feeling but then again they are cheap, but also no back up when they fall apart. DO NOT BUY

Poor service all round!

I ordered a pair of shoes- size 5 .
They came, and were too big for me so I tried to send them back, but was told it will cost too much to send them back ( which i was told by Hobibear) - so I thought okay I will keep them and give them to a friend.
I re orderd them in a size 3 which would have been the perfect size, but when they arrived the material that the size 3 shoes came in is completely different- it looks sub standard and cheap- so I emailed them several times to ask why the material is different and not up to the same standard as the size 5 ones - I have had NO RESPONSE from them whatsoever.
Although the size 3 shoes are still nice I know they are not going to stay nice or last as long as they are a material and not the wipe clean leather type ones that are advertised- so be warned these trainer/ shoes should be made of a leather type, wipe clean substance- not material that is pourous and bound to get easily dirty.

Amazing

Delivered within a week, shoes are amazing and fit perfectly I'm a size 5. They also look lovely, brought as a work shoe as I'm on my feet all day, wore to work today and it was like wearing slippers. Came home and still got them on after making dinner as they are so comfortable.

Oh my god.
If I hadn’t run into product issues and tried to file a complaint by searching this company on Google, I would never have known how negative the reviews about this company actually are.

I think many of you have noticed that this is a company from China.
Ironically, I am in China. I am Chinese. I personally purchased their product.

The first time, I received shoes with irreversible deformation at the front toe area.
The front part is supposed to be supportive, but it had completely collapsed.
When I tried to push it up with my fingers, it immediately bounced back into a sunken shape, forming an inward dent.

Their customer service replied that this was an industrial issue caused by mass production, and said I could return the product for a refund or exchange.
OK. I returned it.

To avoid wasting too much time, I placed another order right away.

The second time, I ordered size 42, but they sent me size 43.

I asked the seller,
“Are you kidding me? This is not funny.”

The seller apologized.

What’s strange is that I clearly told them to inform their warehouse not to send me another defective pair, yet their warehouse still sent me shoes that were not even the size I ordered (42).

I was confused.
Why?

Once again, all I received were apologies.
Very mechanical responses, with no empathy at all.
Just “sorry.”
Literally only textual apologies.

Alright, I thought, let me check whether these shoes have any other problems.

On the toe area—by the way, I ordered gray—there was a very obvious orange color difference, clearly visible.

I sent this to their customer service.

They said this was an issue that “occasionally” occurs during mass production.

I replied,
“So I’m lucky?”

Because it happened to me twice.

They gave me the exact same response again.

I asked them,
“Are you saying that your problems are something I should bear?”

They then mentioned compensation.

Here’s the funny part:
the shoes cost 159 RMB, and they offered me 15 RMB as compensation.

I honestly found this ridiculous.

I asked them,
“Do you know what I bought? Shoes.
Are you expecting me to feel the discomfort and pain caused by your mistakes every single day?
To feel it with every step I take?”

Do you think this is some ill-fitting piece of clothing?

No.
These are shoes.
And because they gave me a bigger size than ordered, the fit is completely wrong.
A shoe that is one size too big feels like a loose shell on my foot—not secure, not stable, just bouncing around when I try to walk.

On top of that, this model is already wider than normal shoes to begin with,
so getting a bigger size made it even worse—the shoe literally moves independently from my foot.

I told them this, but they still kept offering the same meaningless apology.

I believe the people leaving positive reviews simply never experienced receiving the wrong product, oversized shoes, or defective items.

This kind of situation may be rare, but for those who encounter problems, this is the real experience.
Many buyers also leave reviews on the very first day, or the moment they receive the product.

If you like this brand, understand this:

This brand is a brand-harvesting machine.

What does that mean?

Many people have said that refunds require returning items to another shipping location.
This is clearly a shell company, rebranding products and marketing them as “Korean,” making them look more premium—just like some so-called Korean cosmetics.

You know what I mean.

Buying this product wasted more than ten days of my time,
and I still received another defective item.

Remember: I am in China, and I still experienced this.

There is a very high probability that what I received was a returned product.

If refunds are sent back to China, who do you think they resell them to?
Of course, nearby customers.
It’s more convenient.
Why would they ship it somewhere else and make an extra loop?

It’s obvious that what I received was a second-hand product—
a defective item that someone else had already returned.

I am in China, where this company actually operates.

I don’t believe you would have a more normal shopping process than I did.

Incredibly difficult company to deal…

Incredibly difficult company to deal with, sizing is all wrong, dont accept returns as have to post to Germany at your own expense and they always say not arrived so cant get refund, shipping is from China and takes ages. Not a legit UK company.

Poorly made

Poorly made, glue coming undone in 2 months, no return or credit option. Running shoe was a generic design, not even a wide toe box. Poor customer service when trying to communicate issues.

Cheap quality cheaper customer support

Shoes are built with a cheap quality. Costumer support is even cheaper. Generic messages and they take advantage of you whenever they can.
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes at the end of 2025 and one of them came defective. I started the process which is by no means easy. They proposed an alternative: they offer to refund 15% of the shoes that are DEFECTIVE and 20% of a future pair you might order. For something that, as stated in their website, you can return and they give you the full refund aswell as pay the sipping costs.
They then agreed to refund the shoes after they arrive in their facility (if you do choose to go this route keep in mind you need tracking because they will most likely be shady in their works). Once they arrived about 2 weeks later I got my refund for the shoes. However, the shipping they state as in their charge will not be refunded for whatever reason they make up. First they told me it had already been refunded and after 5 emails they eventually tell me they reviewed the photos I had sent them again and they found the shoes had nothing wrong (after they already had them in their possession).
And here I am with no pair of shoes because they don't do exchanges and basically no money because they will never refund you the cost of shipping which will be almost the same as the shoes even though their website tells you otherwise.

Very much a disappointment when it comes not only to quality of shoes but to customer support.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMOABG

Purchased a pair of shoes from this company on the 3rd of January. Over a month later I am still waiting.

I’ve emailed them and been told to contact the delivery company and after 3 emails no response.

I emailed them again and nearly a week later I am still waiting!

I work in sales myself and if I treated my customers this way I would be out of a job.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THID COMPANY!!

I’ve lost money and have nothing to show for it and they never contact you back!!

Very disappointed with the shoes (not…

Very disappointed with the shoes (not true to size) but even more disappointed with the customer service and the challenges to return the shoes. Have asked 5 times now for a return address however each time been asked to keep the shoes and be offered 30% off on the next pair i buy from them instead. On the final occasion of asking for a refund they provided me with an address but also said quote
“ Some packages sent from the UK are left at the post office by the courier, and we cannot retrieve them there. Therefore, we will not be able to receive the shoes or issue a refund.”

Please do not buy from this company as you will not be able to receive any support if there are any issues with the product.

I am now out of pocket for these shoes tha they will not refund. It will cost me between £40-£60 to send these shoes back (as I did not realise they were shipped from Germany) which is more than the cost of the shoes themselves - with the addition as above they cannot confirm if I send the shoes back at the return address that they will even received them back to provide a refund - SCAM
