DO NOT BOOK with Hoseasons ever
DO NOT BOOK with Hoseasons ever, if you try and cancel the £25 deposit is just the start, they then want a full deposit £190 in our case, this was giving two months notice too.
They then just let the property out again easily as it was on the NC500 and still wouldn’t refund us anything.
Absolute rip off…..
I booked a lodge in Paignton at White…
I booked a lodge in Paignton at White Hill Country Park. The lodge was absolutely perfect. Very clean and everything we needed was there.
We felt very welcome. The dogs received a little bag of goodies each.
The grounds were well kept. Staff were very friendly and approachable.
I booked a weekend away for our wedding…
I booked a weekend away for our wedding anniversary and to get over my wife fathers passing. When I first booked it wouldn't go though. Got a email from hoeseasons saying they had issues with their booking system. I have it a few days to make sure no money came out of my bank. Booked it again which this time went through. Seen the confirmation email pop up and thought nothing else about is. On Sunday I got a message saying 8 days to your holiday and I thought that's not correct. It was then I realised something wasn't correct. I booked a weekend break Friday to Monday. But it was showing Monday to Thursday instead. Tried to ring them but was a Sunday and shut.
The next day I tried calling them whilst at work. They told me they couldn't change the date or exchange for another time. Only cancel the booking at the cost of £55. I said I'd have to call back. So one home from work I rang them back to be told it would actually 95% of what I paid £275. I explained all this but they just kept saying it's all they could do. I could only do a weekend so why would I book for midweek? Tried to speak to a manager but they said there wasn't any. Asked for email for complaints which they give me two. Neither worked and the emails just bounced back.
Be aware and beware !!!!

We booked Muriel lodge, Ryde iow Hoseasons/ cottages com
We booked 1 x week, paid in full, via booking.com, and had full confirmation of booking.
3 days later, we were contacted by Hoseasons saying there was a ' calender issue ' and that we had to pay an additional £130 or the booking would be cancelled. A threat !!
After contacting booking con, this was reduced by over £70 as an offer. I e. We still pay more for the same confirmed booking !!!
Asked for an explanation, but nothing forthcoming.
Yes, we did not pay. Rip off, no customer services, however booking conm were very good and provided a credit,
I am not alone on this issue
Be careful when booking through hoeseasons the price can change.
I recently booked a holiday through Hoseasons after seeing what appeared to be a very good deal, advertised as part of a sale on their website. Shortly after booking, I was contacted and informed that the price I had paid was incorrect. I was then given the option to either pay more than double the original price or cancel and receive a refund.
While I understand this situation is covered within their booking conditions, it was still a very disappointing experience. At the time of booking, there were alternative holidays available in the same area at a similar price point, but once the booking was cancelled, nothing comparable was available.
This left me feeling that customers should be cautious, particularly during advertised sales, as the price you initially pay may not end up being the final cost of your holiday. I would advise anyone booking with Hoseasons to be mindful of this possibility and to read the terms and conditions very carefully before committing.
Poor customer service
Had appalling customer service today, made a booking on line yesterday as you were closed then rang for price match plus Blue light discount and was refused both . Apparently you cant add BLC after the booking is made even though you were closed so i couldn't make it over the phone and didn't want to risk losing the lodge and then failed to match the free dog the park was offering as said offer had finished but park confirmed yesterday dog would be free! Then refused to allow me to cancel FOC when i wanted to book directly with the park who are cheaper !
Customer service ignoring complaints and emails.
Spent 2k on a luxury lodge for a family week in Aug 25. Very dirty, very bad mould problem (which triggered partners COPD and meant we had to dispose of some of the clothes we could not get the smell from). Resort refunded 1 night only (so still cost over 1700 for unfit accommodation plus destroyed clothes). Hoseasons ignoring correspondence and unwilling to considerer complaint even thought they agreed it was unacceptable. Will not be using again
Avoid this greedy company at all costs

I booked a lodge in their black Friday deal in Nov 2024 For End of Nov 2025 and paid £25 low deposit.
Then on the 23 Nov 2025 i received an email saying that my holiday was cancelled as i had not paid the balance in time .and now they want an extra £62 as the £25 deposit was a black Friday deal and it should have been £87.
They said they sent 2 reminders on the 9th and 15th Sept .
This is a lie as i checked all my emails and junk mail to discover No reminders were sent .
Trying to contact them on phone is almost impossible all you get is a chat bot.
I have used Hoseasons many times before but never again .
Their customer service is non existent .
I have emailed them several times all i get back is i’m due them £62 as it was my responsibility to pay the balance .
But if i had received an email which is normal i would have paid the balance in full .
They have not listened to my complaints that i never received their emails about paying the balance .
I have used Hoseasons many times before but they will never get any more custom from me or my family and friends again.
I think BBC watchdog should investigate this scamming company
I booked a caravan holiday through Hoeseason
I booked a caravan holiday through Hoeseason our destination was beech hedge cargill Perth.
When we arrive on Friday 5th September for a week Hoeseason wedsite explain that beds would be made up.
Only 1 bed was made up the other room with the twins beds was not made up no bed sheet no duvet cover no pillows, one of the twin beds had a soil mark on the mattress
The WiFi was bad we had to use our own data.
Night time out side of the caravan there was no outside light it was pitch dark.
the toilet the seat didn't fit properly.
Hoeseason need to update there website as to inform people what is included in the price and what is not
We where not told we would have to bring our own towels we have to pay £10.00 for towels from the owner.
Stayed at clarach bay holiday Village terrible place
Stayed at clarach bay holiday Village, well what can I say.
The site was a building site, the refuge area was just a couple of small wheelie bins.
The play area was described as family fun but it was nothing of the kind.
Our caravan was rubbish despite renting a platinum caravan.
The plumbing was just pumping out water outside as the pipes were broken.
They state its a dog friendly site but the beach was a no go area for them despite it being right off the site.
I even spoke to staff whom also stated they did not know why anyone stays at the site.
The shop on site is useless, they don't even sell alcohol, but sell cigarettes.
There is abandoned buildings around the site and at the main area of the site, the so called entertainment area, is an eyesore old building site which also looks as though it was sort of started then totally abandoned.
I have taken a lot of photos to back up my review for anyone to see if they wish before deciding if they want to go.
My opinion STAY AWAY, ITS HORRIBLE AND WILL RUIN YOUR HOLIDAY.
THE RIGHTUP IS NOT CORRECT ON THEIR SITE, ITS FALSELY ADVERTISED.
Avoid this company

I could not make the payment as their site was broken, so I had to book directly with the provider as they cancelled the booking.
Now they are threatening to damage my credit score and legal proceedings, for £75 which I do not agree I should pay.

Booking with pets be careful !
I have raised a complaint with the companies on line booking system. It is misleading as to providing availability for accommodation with pets . You use their search facilities it provides you with ones available , you check dates and book . Screen shot after booking confirms 2 people and 2 pets yet they send confirmation without pets . I did not notice this as the caravan number was the same as screen shot .
I went into my booking and cannot see pets
They are unable to give full refund and have had to go in a caravan that is not what I booked, no veranda no sea view
Very disappointed.
Why offer accommodation and availability with my original search and when it’s booked to then send confirmation that doesn’t include it but clearly states once I had booked. Poor system needs to be reviewed
Be careful it’s not what it says on the tin !!!!!
I really didn’t think that they would allow to book something but then blatantly not include it and leave the blame with the customer that I should have checked . But they shouldn’t have given me the impression I had booked pets .
Very upset and don’t want others to fall for this underhandedness
DON’T BOOK WITH HOESEASONS
Please I urged anyone not to book with Hoeseasons
I booked a cottage with them at the end of February & I had to cancel but it was within the week. I paid a deposit of £325 but despite cancelling the booking within a week & months away from the start the cottage was booked for week 17 May they will not refund any money at all I said I would understand if it was within a few weeks of the holiday starting but not this far away. They only thing they would offer is to waiver the £55 transfer but get this, only if it was for a different dates ie a more expensive week. They would not waivered the fee if I just stayed with the same week same cottage etc all she kept saying was the transfer option was available before the cottage was cancelled but as I kept telling her that option was not given to me it just had cancellation & then are you sure & that was it . I did not even get a cancellation email & they are so difficult to get hold of. Their phone number or email address is not showing on the website I could only get that information by eventually getting to chat to an actual person on the chat!!!
Hoeseasons are absolute rip off merchants & I for one would not ever book with them again. I will be emailing them & bbc watch dog about how they run their business. Absolutely deplorable
This is a terrible company
This is a terrible company - steer well clear.
We booked a holiday and it was described as Bewaldeth, Keswick, Cumbria. It wasnt anywhere near Keswick - it was 10 miles away and the correct description is Bewaldeth, Cockermouth, Cumbria. They also said it was a short distance to Keswick - it isnt.
Hoseasons werent interested in helping me. When emailing customer experience they gave wrong information, and were rude and threatening. Never again!!!!!!
Absolutely disgusted I was booking a…
Absolutely disgusted I was booking a holiday and paid 25 pounds deposit the next day I needed to cancel my holiday due not only feeling cheated because the day after the holiday I booked in the January sales with 1 day left to book it so I could get the so called bargin price ...the day after the holiday dropped 400 pounds .so it was never a good price in the first place .the advisor I booked with didn't explain the terms and conditions and I just felt I was pushed into buying this holiday with the advisor telling me he didn't get commission fir the sale it would just go to how many sales he had at a certain time. So silly me booked it thinking I was helping him and it was in the January sales with one day to go ....I suffer with anxiety and I'm not in good health and this holiday I felt was expensive but at a push we could pay for it .the day after when I saw that I could buy the same holiday for 400 pounds cheaper I rang the company .I spoke to a advisor and I wasn't happy when she said I would have to pay another 400 pounds because the deposit wasn't 25 what I paid it was 400 abd something ???.....this news was a shock because for 1 day as a cooling off period I felt cheated and felt this company was ripping me off....I asked to speak to a manager and a female came on the phone saying she was a supervisor and said nothing could be done buy she could transfer my holiday to another one ....no thankyou the company itself has put me off ..its absolutely disgusting !!!!!....then I was told an email would be sent to me confirming my cancellation and no !!!.it never came .I am left suffering with my anxiety worrying about this situation so my husband asked to speak to a manager ....but we were refused and told no managers are ever available?????...this is terrible please please do not book a holiday with hoseasons!!!. We feel so upset and it's ruined our summer holiday we have no confidence in this company what so ever .in fact my health has been affected .
Disgusting
Disgusting, Theives ! Never consider this money grabbing theiving company, they have lost a regular customer due to their greed!!
VERY DANGEROUS!! LEGAL THIEVES DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!
Unfortunately I cannot give zero for this vile thieving scamming company. We booked a holiday, they cancelled it on us then decided we still have to pay and after refusing to pay for a service we never received the scammers took us to small claims. Please do not put yourselves in the same situation we and many others ended up in! absolute scum!! The vile company loose out more as never again will be book this company and take our usual £3000 spend each year will go somewhere else. Enjoy the stolen £300, you have lost a valuable regular customer due to your greed and very poor service.
Hoseasons and Coastfields Ingoldmells terrible customer service
We booked a holiday at Coastfield Ingoldmells, it was an absolute fail in every aspect of an enjoyable experience - we unwittingly booked this shameful caravan site via the internet - and through hoeseasons. our accommodation was filthy, staff were in the main desensitised to customers concerns so were ignored. health and safety appeared to be breached re gas safety certificate in our accommodation,
Coastfields take £50 pounds cash deposit from all their guests on arrival, and this is supposed to be given back in cash on departure -so ahead of customers departing they have to wait around for their accommodation to be checked? Hoseasons are aware of this and I'd ask if its legal? As no inventory is given to guests to sign on arrival? -Coastfields then will not give a time they will do the check on your accommodation so you are left hanging around, how many people hang around on departure day?
i hear the cash payment is not easily forthcoming they need your bank detail to pay you back (we paid in cash!!) red flag here taxman needs to check these out and the HSE as their gas and other safety checks in or bungalow were not in date (frightening).
Hoseasons are aware of this deposit scam. when we complained hoeseasons said, this was a site issue and need to deal with coastfields directly.
it was hoeseasons who took our money ?? and basically hid when we complained saying it was not their issue it was Coastfields. The whole customer service appears to be in a shambles no one should have to put up with bad customer service like this- we as the customers trading with theses company's, we the customer pay upfront and a bit more (deposit) so we should expect to be treated fair as in the agreed deal! seems business like these are everywhere and in each others pockets, the deposits a rip off and the service nil they have no regard for their customers once they have your money no one cares about the service received thereafter- shocking! i write on here to warn other customers to check who their dealing with when they book a holiday as these holiday cowboys are taking the hard working families for ride.
And when you complain they pass you off and blame campsite company who are in my opinion a miserable little UK freak shows masquerading as family friendly holiday sites. truly bad companies and hoeseasons are culpable and defined by the companies they trade with.
Both company's do send out token emails with no intention of putting things right.
We all should ask ourselves who needs this complaining grief (rather have nice holiday) but they play on this these bad company's they are aware customers would rather not complain - as by complaining you raise the emotional stakes that just upset you further-not right terrible, what has become of a service that should be completely customer focussed?.
proper business management does not look like these company's -you do not ignore or blame your customers, and where is the professionalism (old fashioned proper training of your staff in customer service invest in your staff instead of profiteering.
ultimately we are all customers, so see it for just that treat as you'd like to be treated. i add that the taxman and the HSE take a look at these businesses
Holiday canceled without explanation
Booked a holiday in Cornwall for a good price and it got cancelled without a reason. The customer service is not helpful at all and just try to make you stop complaining. I was really looking forward to this break, but they do not care. Why if we cancel, we must pay, but they can cancel, without providing a reason and not have to do anything?
