The Back Story
When one of our friends had a silent home invasion it struck home how vulnerable the typical uPVC doors on so many homes used in the UK are.
Great having all the locking points as long as the lock is set. Nobody is silently coming through that door.
BUT
As our friend found out lying asleep on their settee when the stranger in their house wandered around picking up stuff if he had not bumped into the settee waking Dave he would have taken even more.
How did this burglar get in?
When we checked the doors we found the back door unlocked, Dave was sure it was locked that he had not used that door for days.
There were no signs of tampering with the doors lock. How do you start a home insurance claim with the words burglar walked in through my back door?
