Long Term Review 2yrs - Brittle and Breakable Materials

I have had my watch for over two years. In that time, the wooden chain on the watch has broken five times. This is not from any kind of strain. I live in a humid city, and the humidity obviously wears the item away. Simply while walking, the wooden links snap from the weight of the watch and the links being so weak, so the watch falls to the floor. Twice now, the glass has broken in this way.

While the warranty lasts 24 months (and Holzkern do honour it), it is irrelevant. The watches are made from materials that are not built to last, and break down quite quickly. For the price of the items, I just don't believe it is worth it for the look.

I regret not purchasing a watch made from more durable materials as a watch of the same price from another brand would last a lifetime. Instead I feel like I have purchased a subscription to the watch rather than a single purchase because of how often it breaks. I will constantly have to repair it, or alter it myself for durability.

Do yourself a favour - buy a watch that is more than just a pretty appearance.

Just an update to my previous post. Replacement watch strap received today, the mechanism on the strap for removing and attaching the strap to the watch is very easy to use. Absolutely love these watches. Thank you team Holzkern!

Great quality and great looking Bandlet

Fast delivery,and well packaged in a beautiful box.
The Bandlet is lovely. Great quality and looks great.I ordered the Acoustic Zebrawood/Black for my partner for his birthday and although Iv not given it to him yet,I know he’ll love it. Will definitely order more.

After receiving a beautiful watch myself, it was my turn to give one as a gift. An issue caused by an external factor was handled exceptionally well by their customer service. I highly recommend them without hesitation. Their products are top-notch too :)

Great customer service

Beautiful and unique jewelry
On top of that; great customer service!

I had a problem with a broken necklace within 1 month of purchasing.
There was a fast response to my message (within a couple of hours) and the replacing necklace was sent free of charge and on the same day. Awesome

Was decent for a month but then fell apart

I bought a watch back in May but one of the spring rod snapped popped off a month in. Contacted them about it and they sent a replacement out.

After, the watch face dial just snapped off, contacted them again about it and received no response. I like the watch but I'm suprised it fell apart after a couples month of casual use.

This has never happened to any other watches I've owned.

Wonderful products

Wonderful products! My husband absolutely loves his bracelet. Also, they have a wonderful support team who worked with me diligently to replace a tiny pin that fell out and was needed to put the bracelet back together. My husband was probably too rough because the item is really well made. I will be a return customer. ❤️

Don't Waste Your Money!

In anticipation of the 'we are eager to support our customers' nonsense, let me tell you about my experience using this brand.
Bought a bracelet sometime ago, and the miniscule screws kept falling out - fortunately, I managed the catch the bracelet before it was lost (£100+)...so I contacted Holzkern.
The mechanism to do so is literally like I'm completing an insurance claim, lots of information & details required - almost as though your filing a claim against a priceless Picasso - and then at most you'll be sent a little packet with some of the tiniest screws and little screwdrivers, that only jewellery makers would be familiar using but now you have to become an expert in to realise the value of what you just purchased.....an honest description would be "we'll charge you lots of money for sub-standard jewellery, and if theres a problem with it, we can make the process so unbearable that'll you'll wish you never contacted us. In the event that we do take some responsibility, we'll send you some bits to fix it but please note that you'll need some additional jewellery specific making expertise, with hands the size of a child, and eyes that can zoom in on the atom-sized screws in order for you to try and fix it".

There is no other business in the world where you buy an item, that breaks easily and instead of being accountable for it, they'll send you parts to fix it and make it your problem. Imagine if car dealers did this.
Sorry but thats not how it works.
Avoid this company!
Don't buy their rubbish...if you do not heed this warning, you may as well just throw your money away.

With each of our models with links, bracelet links can be added or removed to adjust the bracelet to the perfect length. Spare parts and the right tools are included in the box with each of our watch and bandlet models.

From experience we can say that our customers are mostly very happy with the option to quickly exchange parts themselves as it saves a lot of time.

Great service for 2 defective bandlets

After reporting 2 bandlets broken and requesting for a repair, I received the offer to have both bandlets replaced for the cost of the repair. A very friendly customer service and a very satisfying solution.

Great Customer Service

I recently bought a watch when I was on holiday in Vienna. After a few months, the clasp broke when I was fitting it to my wrist. I emailed customer service about my watch and they were so helpful and accommodating - they were able to resolve my issue almost immediately! I am so happy to be able to wear my watch once again (which I always receive compliments on).

Lying about the materials used…

While pretending to be an innovative young jewelry brand mostly relying on natural resources such as stone and wood, they fool their customers by selling overpriced jewelry containing fake materials.
I was able to scrape the „real stone“ out of my necklace-pendant with just my fingernail. Came off like rubber.

1 star to get attention!!

I’ve placed an order, it’s not been shipped yet but it has been packaged and a shipping label attached, tracking now available.

My issue is, I’ve ordered the incorrect watch, I have sent an email to hopefully get the watch exchanged before it’s collected by the courier (fedex). I tried to cancel the order but they do not accept order cancellations, only returns, which is going to cost me a considerable amount I would imagine from the UK to Austria. Please please someone get back to me and exchange my order, I will be the most grateful if this could be done. I ordered from your website as I love the natural materials used and your customer service promise was the main reason for trusting this company. Please help!!

Unfortunately, your package is already on its way to you.

Once the package has been handed over to our shipping partner, we can no longer influence the package and cannot cancel the order.

However, you can of course return the model within our 24 day withdrawal period, as long as it is unworn.

As stated on our website, we voluntarily pay for the initial shipping of all orders to our customers. Moreover, we always provide our customers with a prepaid return label in case of warranty claims or damages, as we strive for excellent customer service.

For our Premium Club members, we are happy to cover the shipping costs and provide a prepaid return label.
You can find the return label in your account under "Redeem" -> "Services".
When creating the label, please enter the sender's address and your order number as a reference.
Please also check your spam folder. The label may end up there sometimes.

After all, we want to guarantee you a smooth process and free return shipping.

Disappointed in Quality and Service

I purchased the Winter Day watch from Holzkern. Within the first week of wearing it, the wooden bracelet caught lightly on my instrument case and the segment connecting it to the clasp completely shattered.

I’ve worn a wooden Truwood watch from 2019 until 2024 without a single issue, so this was very disappointing. When I contacted Holzkern customer service, they reminded me that their products undergo “strict quality inspection” but also pointed out that wood is not as sturdy as metal. They then denied warranty coverage, since their policy excludes the bands and limits defects to what they define as “manufacturing.” Their warranty also only supports returns if the watch is unworn, which doesn’t inspire confidence.

To their credit, they did offer a 35% discount on a replacement band. However, this doesn’t assure me that the product will last, and it left me feeling blamed for what I see as a design flaw.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Holzkern based on this experience and will not purchase from them again.

SCAM ALERT

SCAM ALERT: I ordered a suncatcher necklace (marble/silver) as a gift to my wife for our anniversary. The necklace I received was upmost garbage. The so called marble part that is in the middle of the necklace, which is supposed to be green marble look is a completely scratched transparent plastic. What kind of quality control does this company have???Now I don't have a gift for my wife and the anniversary is tomorrow. They don't have an immediate support. God knows when they will respond me, but it will be too late anyway., Also the package took longer then expected to arrive, so I am completely doomed. Worst experience I ever had with a company

Two separate watches didn't work…

Two separate watches didn't work correctly and the watches sold to me for $450 each were being sold by holzkern for $150 a few months later. Conveniently after the return period. I wouldn't trust them.
