The shipping takes a very long time so prepare your self. Also, I was shipped the wrong color cords and mount, I did let them know and they said they would send me the correct ones which is nice. Very... See more

The site hi to the fact that everything is hosted and shipped from China. They provided me a tracking number a month ago. No updates have been provided in the tracking number and they refuse to refund my money because the package has shipped. The site is a scam and should not be used.

Poorly manufactured knock offs. Most reviews reflect an accurate description of these substandard fixtures. Customer service is unhelpful and has done nothing to facilitate replacing or returning one of our two fixtures that is defective.

The customer agent named 'Helen' is passive-agressive, not centered on finding a solution. I was in the right time delay to ask for a return/refund, she proposed a 15% refund. She told me to send the product back at my own expenses, which was 60$ CAD for a 90$ product.
The reason for the return was because their product is cheap made and awful looking. It's made of cheap plastic and clearly is not respecting the electricity norms.

I purchased 2 wall sconces.
1) They came with no instructions. That’s ok - my husband is an electrical engineer.
2) The wires were NOT what we have in American homes. They were so thin, they snapped several times while we tried to strip them. Fire hazard.
3) No lightbulb at Lowe’s fit in the socket. We tried several and narrowed it down to E14 or E15, which neither Lowe’s nor any lightbulb store in Salt Lake carries.
4) Homdiy support, upon my email, says it’ll take E26. Clearly, they have no idea because an E26 is nearly double the width of the bizarre socket inside.
5) My husband (see 1) spent 4 hours changing out the wires and the sockets to make this fixture usable.
6) The fixtures they give their collaborators on social media are altered so they can be used in the US, and can be seen in the CHANGE of socket in the photos.

We've had multiple problems with these (we bought two). I'll try to be brief. 1) The canopies (ceiling fixtures) are small, so make sure your ceiling outlet holes are small. Also, one of the wire pass-throughs had cracked in shipping. We had to buy new canopies for those reasons. Just $20 at a hardware store but annoying. 2) If you tighten the globe at all you're in danger of cracking the glass lampshade, which we did. I mean we just snugged the globe up and *snap*. To their credit, they shipped out a replacement for free. It got to us in 5 weeks. But very bad design. 3) Once you tighten the globe, you can't loosen it. The friction against the plastic washer under the lampshade makes it impossible without first loosening the parts above the lampshade and holding the lampshade up while you struggle, all the while nervous you’re going to crush the globe. I learned this when we had to remove the cracked lampshade. 4) Then I kept the globe a little looser and guess what? It fell, hit the ground, and shattered into a thousand pieces. They shipped out a replacement for free. I thought it was my fault, but on installing the new one I noticed that the metal thread sleeve had come unglued from the globe, so it wasn’t my fault at all. It was just poorly manufactured, and this means it could happen at any moment to the other one! 5) On installing the replacement shade and globe, the *other* lamp suddenly shorted out. I haven’t investigated it very closely yet apart from making sure it wasn’t a problem with the actual light bulb (it wasn’t). 6) EITHER WAY, and this is really the MOST IMPORTANT THING, the shades do not shade. They are completely transparent. So when the light is on, they might as well be two naked, vaguely yellow bulbs shining into your eyes like interrogation lamps. When they’re off, they look nice. Or at least one of them does. We haven’t yet had both in service at the same time. In all, we’re done with these. It’s been a frustrating experience and a waste of money and time. I’d give it one star, but the customer service is quite good, so two stars.

The shipping is extremely slow (about 8 weeks) and the packaging is awful. Light was damaged but salvageable - not a very well made product.

HOMDIY has a flashy website with interesting looking lighting designs. What you receive is overpriced low-quality goods that don't match the online description. One of the lights was completely wrong, and the other one was wired incorrectly which we didn't discover until after it was installed (we tested with a voltage meter when it didn't work). Their return policy is essentially "tough". Stay away. They hired some designers to make a website, but they don't provide a quality product. On top of all that it took literally months for the items to arrive. Every time I communicated with them they indicated that the items were in shipment from China and the tracking number would not work until they were off the boat. I've waited a very long time, for a low-quality, overpriced product. I've spent another month attempting to negotiate with them for a refund only to get stonewalled for "more pictures" and offers of 10% discount. Steer clear.
Sent wrong size pull. Knobs were TINY. Would not return/exchange/refund. I question legitimacy.
