Overal our experience with HomePick was hurrendous right from the start.

The day the fitters turned up, I had 3 missed calls on my mobile, a voicemail and an email, only a few hours after they had started the work, asking for me to URGENTLY sign the SAT note. I explained on the phone that the work has not been completed yet so I won't be signing the form until it is. The lady (Michelle) was very pushy on me to sign it as she said it was only for the goods being on site. I continued to tell her that I would not sign until the work was completed the next day satisfactory, which she was very not happy about as she "could not wait that long"
The fitters were rushing the first day to complete the job (which we were told would take 2 days as we paid for the 'Deluxe' finish') because they wanted to get to another job in Dundee. By the end of the day they had realised that they could not finish the job the same day and had to come back the day.
The next day we had to constantly ask them to fix their mistakes which they 'tried' to do but the standard of the work is extremely poor.

By the end of the day, we were not happy about how the windows had been finished and told them what the problems were, and again they tried to fix them, to what I would class as a botched job. They were aware that we were not happy and they informed Michelle, who then phoned asking what the problems were and that the fitters would not leave until all the problems were fixed. Once again, they tried to fix their mistakes but this was done very poorly again. Before they were ready to leave, one of the fitters asked us to sign the SAT form and send it to Michelle before they left. We got the impression that he was asked not to leave until it was signed. We said we would (grudgingly) but we had to print it off etc. While we were trying to, Michelle called us again asking if we had signed it yet and we explained we were in the process of doing it.
The fitters then left very quickly, before we could check if they had fixed everything we had asked. They hadn't.

Around 10 minutes after they left, Michelle called again asking if we had signed the form and we said we were sending her an email with the SAT note attached along with pictures of the problems they had left. After the call with Michelle, One of the fitters called and sent a txt message asking if we had signed the form. Again my partner explained we were in the process of doing it. He then told us that Michelle had told them to return to our house to once again fix the problems and they were not to leave until we were happy and they received the SAT note. We did sign the form and send it to her as she was obviously threatening us with keeping the fitters at our house until we signed it.

I have never experienced a company being so pushy and threatening when it comes down to finance. I hope this may help so it does not happen to others in the future but I presume this has happened to many others in our situation before.

Shocking service provided AVOID

Shocking service provided. Several months later and issues have still not been resolved. Company has still to collect their final payment but havent collected it several months later as the cost of putting everything right way exceeds their final payment. Avoid ! They send cowboys to install windows and doors.Currently in talks with solicitor to take them to small claims courts.

Great company from start to finish

Great company from start to finish. Shan gave us a great price,Michelle was always on other side of the phone to update us, installers were polite and did a great job and left no mess.
Cant praise them all enough from start to finish, would recommend them to anyone

Follow up to previous (I am the home owner)

Shan called me to ask about the review and were we a bit harsh etc......they did turn up on the Friday so that was a mistake but not on the Saturday and Sunday, we managed to speak to the worker who agreed £200 off as we had lost out on work due to taking more time off than needed.
Everything that went wrong Shan was always on the other side of the phone to try and help out as much as he could, he even turned up at the house and to the workers house when they decided to go back to their beds on the Sunday instead of working.
The windows and doors from home pick are really nice and we are now happy with them (door handle a bit stiff but told that will loosen in time)

All in all Shan was great and he owns the company so the previous feedback was more about the workers he hires to do the job and not the company itself ........BUT............
During our phone call Shan has now informed me that because of the previous review he will not be honouring the warranty that came as part of the deal, thought he said it out of anger at first but no, he confirmed if we don't 'tell the truth' on our review then he won't honour it (which is against trading standards btw).
So here is me telling the truth:-
1. Service from Shan during the work was great
2. Workmen not great at remembering times, too slow on the job also and not trustworthy
3. Pestered to make final payment when there was still stuff to be done ( Shan confirmed that was his fault so fair play)
4. Good quality windows and doors
5. Threatened by Shan about warranty being void now because of previous review which is laughable

So after this I will give it an extra star because the doors and windows are nice and Shan did work hard to fix the whole mess that happened inbetween.

I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to…

I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy to this company!. After getting Shan out to talk about doors and choosing front and back door , getting the big speel about how important customer service is to him and his company we went with him. First we waiting way by the dates we were first given .but we accepted that with the way things were with covid anyway day for fitting arrived and we had two guys fitting them. At first they were very pleasant but quickly realised they were Cowboys that were full of rubbish. After they finished everything to me seemed ok I loved the look of the doors etc but there was silicone all round the concrete and when hubby came home he pointed out problems right away. ( he’s not a joiner ) and boy was he right within a week the backdoor hinges were grinding as the screws were working themselves out the door wasn’t shutting right it was bouncing back the front door also seemed to drop . The list was endless and from day one the company was contacted. “Yes We will get someone out “long story short loads of emails messages phone calls and problem never sorted. Asked numerous times asking to speak to Shan who wasn’t big enough to ever take the call as he’s only interested in the big sell and taking your money£3000!! Money that has to be settled before the so called joiners leave your property which is pretty intimidating when you are on your own ,especially before you get the chance to find all the problems I guarantee you will find . Had the cheek to send me via email 5 months later the warranty which when they’ve stop answering your calls actually blocking your number isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Nearly a year later I have had to pay to get every problem sorted by a joiner! Money I shouldn’t have had to pay and problems with two composite doors you shouldn’t have. Don’t waste your money as this is the worst company I have every tried to deal with they don’t want to hear about problems at all.and customer service is a joke

very disappointed service

I started my windows replacement contract Oct 20, windows fitted Jan 21 and i am still awaiting an errror to be fixed and also paperwork and receipts? I have called numerous times and also emails. I have spoken to the receptionist Michelle lots of times and also the owner Usman too. All false promises! Very poor customer service and disappointing.

Highly recommend

Excellent service from start to finish. The boys who fitted the windows were amazing. Great job, no mess and very pleasant. Would highly recommend best price I doubt very much if they could be beaten in price and service.

Just had my new doors and windows…

Just had my new doors and windows fitted by home pick. Couldn’t have asked for a better company!! Good quality doors an windows at an exceptionally Great price. Chris an the boys done a fantastic job. Nothing was to much trouble, tidied up after themselves also. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking for doors an windows.

Thanks again to the staff at home pick Chris and the fitters.

Avoid at all cost! Worst company I have ever dealt with!

Wrong door delivered and fitted, told we could keep it as it was their error, and the would change a section of it. 5 weeks later with numerous calls and emails ignored they wanted to change back to original door or I had to pay an extra £400!!!! When I questioned this I was called all names under the sun and verbally abused by the staff and owner. Absolutely disgusting

Polite, professional and efficient

Just had my door fitted through them and I could not be happier.

The team were professional and knowledgeable. When they guys fitted the door they were clean and efficient. Michelle was in contact every step of the way. I have nothing but positive things to say.
