I found out the hard way that Angi is only worried about their profit, NOT the customers. My contract with Angi was for $280 a month of leads. First I wasn’t getting the correct amount of leads then... See more

I dont recommend anyone this app they charge for a contract without permission or letting the people know that has to pay fee fraud worst app.

This company is such a fraud. My 24 yo started a business. The agent said $440 for 30 leads and you can cancel any time. Then, they fraudulantly, without your knowledge or permission, send a contract digitally signed. There was 0 mention of a contract. I then called them and told them they do not have permission to charge my card. He told me he was charging it anyway and charged over 1000. I am filing a police report against angie's and home advisor. It is illegal to charge someone's card without their permission. I have it all recorded. Do not use them. We are going to sue.

Signed a contract for a year and have had some bumps in the road. Its not bulletproof by any means but it will establish your business. Its been a well known go to for customer service for years and creates results. Customer service reps are great too

Reply from Angi Leads
Scam, do not use. Lie through their teeth and get you stuck in a contract you can't break unless you pay 35% of remaining yearly contract value. All the leads are either fake or someone shopping around. Maybe 1 in 10 leads are real people looking for work done.

We are a veteran owned small business just starting out. I signed up for Angie Pro and they were charging me $525 a month. They charged me the $525 and it took them about two weeks to get it set up. As I go through the service they never told me that I was only gonna get five leads per month. So I get 5 leads and 2 of them. One Lady started yelling at me because She claims she Never left a lead with Angie pro. The other one canceled at the last minute and the rest never even answered their phone even though I called within five minutes. Not one person from Angie told me they would only give me five leads per month for $525 a month. They never discussed that with me I didn't find out till later. I decided I did not want their service and they immediately charged me $2000 for terminating my service. They don't even care that I'm a small Veteran business trying to get our feet off the ground. I do not recommend using them you can get a lot more done with Google and not have all of the trouble. Yelp is also a lot better they work with you as much as they can to get you business because they understand that if you make money they make money. The CustomerService people at Angie pro couldn't care less about helping you. They were totally comfortable charging me for leads that no one even answers. One that yelled at me, the other canceled the estimate while I was driving to their house. What did Angie do to help? Nothing! They didn't offer to send me a few more contacts, even though I just signed up and wasn't really used to how the system works. They couldn't care less that I'm a combat veteran who spent years serving his country and I'm just trying to get a foothold with my business. They are 100% comfortable charging me $2800 for nothing. They didn't offer a single solution or offer to help me out until I got used to how things work there. They never once told me that $525 worth of leads is only five calls regardless if they answer or not. In a world where people are struggling Angie doesn't care. They don't understand that by helping our company make money it's gonna make money for them they would rather you cancel their service and penalize you by immediately billing my business account another $2000. It's pretty sad to see where our country is going. As a veteran, my life was put on hold while I fought in two different wars. All I wanted was a little bit of assistance building our company with a partner that didn't just care about themselves. It's pretty heartbreaking to see this is how they treat people.
Before you use this company please do research. Don't take my word for it, do the research yourself. You can start by searching:
"Angie pro lawsuits" This review won't allow me to post the link, however, when you look at it, you will be shocked to see the type of lawsuits that they are involved in. I wish I would've looked at it before I signed up with them.
Also, on a positive note, if you're starting a small business and need some assistance please tune in to the Shawn Ryan Show in the next couple weeks. He will be interviewing veterans like me discussing strategies to help, not just veteran owned businesses, but small businesses in general. The SRS show is one of the largest podcasts in the United States. I'm not exactly sure which date the show will air, sometimes it takes a month or two for the recording and editing, but I'm sure it will be worth watching. I sure wish I could respond to their response below. I called them after this review and they did the exact same thing. Sat there on the phone, said nothing, and made no attempt or offer any solution whatsoever. After their initial sales pitch I recorded all their conversations just to make sure I wasn't exaggerating.
Godbless!

Angi is a scam for small businesses. They dump useless “leads” – 70% don’t answer/don’t speak English, 30% have no idea what you offer.
Customer service? Always the same: “This is what you signed.” Try to cancel and they demand $2,000 while charges keep coming.(35% from annual payment! On what ???)
I, with 60+ Florida business owners, am collecting evidence and recordings proving they break terms. From day one they said “fight for the lead,” but even when you prove it’s unrelated, you get no response, no credit, no refund.

Angi is a complete scam. They promised one thing but did the exact opposite. I was charged $350 a month for leads that weren’t even in my industry. Even after I canceled, they kept billing me. On top of that, they hit me with a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the yearly rate and charged me for two months when I only used the service for one. In the end, I basically paid for eight months of service just to cancel.
This company manipulates customers with shady practices, hidden fees, and false promises. The service is worthless, the billing is dishonest, and their cancellation policy is designed to rip people off. They should be shut down. Worst experience ever.

I had a terrible experience with Angi Leads. No real jobs ever came through only fake customer leads. Their customer service, especially Gary Bastin, was extremely rude and unprofessional. On top of that, they closed my account without any notice and even sent me to collections. This company is dishonest and should not be trusted.

Worst lead generation service of all time. You pay money to get no real phone numbers or contacts. Most contacts seem generated. They will not refund your money. I do not know how they are in business. It is a scam with a bunch of false promises. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR BS. No real quality leads.

Angi Leads has been the single worst experience I’ve had as a business owner. Their sales team makes big promises about “qualified leads,” but what you actually get are people who don't answer their phone, disconnected numbers, and homeowners who have zero interest in your services. Time and again, I’d call “leads” who never answered, never returned a message, and in many cases didn’t even realize they had triggered a contractor response call. That isn’t a lead, that’s junk data.
Worse, they lock you into billing agreements that feel designed to bleed you dry. You get charged for garbage leads, and when you dispute them, you’ll find their “customer care” department is nothing more than a brick wall. They make it easy to sign up but nearly impossible to cancel, a trap disguised as a service.
As a contractor, every dollar and every hour matters. Angi wasted both. Instead of helping me grow my business, they cost me money, time, and trust.
If you’re a tradesperson considering Angi Leads, don’t walk away. Run. There are plenty of better ways to build your business without handing over your hard-earned money to a company that thrives on exploiting small businesses.

These guys robbed me for nearly five thousand dollars. About eighty five percent of the leads you'll receive are fake. They won't refund your money, (which they are already asking for too much) and the service is absolutely terrible. Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't even take my word for it. Four years ago these guys were involved in a class action lawsuit for doing the exact same thing they've done to me. Look it up.

85% of the leads Angi sold could not contact. The pricing for those leads were never disclosed in the initial sales pitch. We were promised 12-20 leads per month and we never never given more than 11. Of the leads we were able to contact and close with were all for jobs that fell well outside the type of jobs I was paying for. We paid for panel upgraded and ev chargers and instead received small maintenance requests like fixing a lamp and trouble shooting power issues. We are extremely dissatisfied and when I canceled my subscription they charged us a cancelation fee of several thousands dollars. We feel they defrauded us with false sales claims that they could provide quality leads. We made $400 in gross revenue from those leads at the cost of over $6000. That is not a great rate of return.

I DO NOT recommend using Angi Leads! They scam you with a 12 month contract, and then provide you with fake leads and states to use the number they provide with an ext number that they NEVER give to you. When you do get through to the lead they have no idea why you called them because they NEVER requested that service. It a waste of time and MONEY! Plus if you cancel early you have to pay a 35% of the contract!

They don't qualify their leads. I asked the sales lady for 30 minutes if they verified if they are real leads and she kept promising they did. Well we've had several people calling seeking employment, and then we requested our credit back Angi denied our request. Now they are demanding us to pay over 2k to cancel our contract.

This is by far the worst app I’ve used in the history of apps. While Thumbtack may be more expensive, it’s a million times better in terms of quality and results. I’ve been with your platform for over six months and haven’t received a single lead. The experience has been incredibly disappointing, and the customer support hasn’t helped either. Very poor service.”

What went Wrong with Angi / Home Advisors.
1. Quality of leads- After 85 days I received 50 to 60 leads. The most of them were fake or dead leads. Some out of state and out of country.
2. Most leads do not call back
3. A lot of leads have all ready be accomplished
4. Majority of leads were not aligned with my scope
5. Large portion of leads were price shoppers
6. The company placed a lot of blame on the consumer for their system not set up right
7. I canceled my account do to the fact they could not provide me with verified leads of which they promised me were verified.
8. After canceling my account they did go ahead and charge me a termination fee of $968.00 I had to cancel the card and transfer my money to another account until the new card arrives as they keep sending me bad customers
9. Customer service in the states cannot communicate properly.
10.

I recently worked with a representative from Angie named Chris. During our conversation, I spoke with two gentlemen who were both heavily pushing for our company to commit to a year-long contract at nearly $1,000 per month. When I inquired about the possibility of canceling the service if it didn't work for us, Chris quickly became defensive and stated that Angie typically doesn't allow cancellations, though he mentioned they might offer a partial refund depending on the situation.
After discussing it further with my business partner, we decided not to move forward. When Chris followed up to see if we planned to proceed, I politely informed him that we would be declining at this time. His response was a long message essentially implying that we were making a mistake and stating that he would now offer a discount to one of our competitors, Molly Maid. The tone of his message came across as petty and unprofessional, as if he was trying to provoke a reaction.
This experience only reinforced our decision not to partner with Angie. We expect professionalism from the platforms we work with, and unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect that. Our company will be pursuing other platforms that better align with our values and business approach.

Angie leads is truly a scam at its best!
I spent $750 for $1000 worth of credit for leads have only been able to reach three people over the course of a month there is no transparency with this company. They do not even give you the phone number of your lead that you have paid for and they said I spent $1300 for these bogus leads! Whatever you do, do not, I repeat do not give these scam artists your money! This has been a horrible experience! They refuse to refund, even though they know they are lying!

Do not use Angi. I've been watching my husband make call after call to potential leads and having zero luck securing jobs. The leads are bogus and Angi locks you into a contract unable for you to cancel without having to pay out the entire amount.

Terrible experience. Avoid. Deceptive practices and shady. Leads are fake. Don't believe a word they say. The salesperson will ghost you after you sign. They could not care less about your success. Did everything I was asked to do and still nothing. Got calls but no one answered and NEVER get back to you. Countless calls, texts, emails, etc. to clients and no response. Its all a scam. Beware!
