Awful Experience, terrible service

Home Club is nothing short of a fraud in Madrid. They ruined my visit to Madrid for so many reasons. I must say many glorified review of the company are fake or written by their employees + likely paid for to write positive reviews.
I was looking for an apartment in Madrid last minute and finally settled for one that was glorified as a luxury property by their sales rep I met online. She promised it was one of the best properties with all the amenities, location and a fully equipped kitchen etc. When I arrived, I was shocked. The size is small, inaccurate representation of the master bedroom. Unfortunately i am unable to post pics here but available on google.
1 - First, the apartment is nothing like the pictures online. Most of the pictures are taken with cameras that make the property look much bigger than it is and all photoshopped. There is nothing luxury about the apartments. Most of the furniture is purchased likely from Ikea. They look modern, but very uncomfortable furnishings including terrible mattresses, bedding.
2 - The checkin process was horrible and stressful. I did not get complete instructions at first on how to access the apartment. The instructions were incomplete and took 3 days after the check in at the apartment to get the proper codes for home locks. Everything is automated. I requested an agent to let me in....on the day of my arrival, I was greeted by an outside agency agent that doesn't work for the company. She had no knowledge of the apartment, nor walked me through the inventory, or showed me all the features and building amenities.
3 - There are several issues that I highlighted particularly in the master bedroom and bathroom, kitchen. The master bath has mold, major stains on the ceilings and peeled paint from excessive shower moisture since there is no ventilation installed.
4 - Cooling and heating system does not work well.
5 - The kitchen is terribly equipped. There is hardly any utensils, pots and pans to cook with. Only bare necessities. It has made it very difficult to cook anything here.
6 - I have had a horrible experience with their agent. Also their useless Reservation and Help email that you never get a response from. If you send an email to their help email, you get an auto generated email. Their phone number prompts you to enter 1 for Spanish and 2 for English, but after entering 2 for English it keeps repeating the same message and finally drops your call. Point is, you can't get a hold of anyone at this company. I had to walk to their office to get their attention, but even then I have been at my apartment for a week and no response or help provided by their unprofessional staff and guest relations.
7 - None of my issues with the apartment has been resolved including discrepancies with their inventory that is completely inaccurate. I have tried through many emails, phone calls and no response or direct communication that has led to resolving the issues.
Overall, I regret renting from this company. I feel cheated, rented an apartment that is over represented with pictures from other units and poor customer service. Once they receive their money, you will be ignored. I feel that this company is a fraud. Think twice renting from them. If you do, be sure to review all contract documents before you sign anything, review the square meter and exact layout of the apartment or best see the apartment first before renting.
I will be filing a complaint with city of Madrid next.

Breach of contract, health hazard & false promises

I strongly advise against renting from Homeclub.

For over two months, we have reported a serious issue with the toilet. Despite multiple complaints and three repair attempts, the problem remains unresolved. The toilet continuously leaks a foul gas smell into the room, affecting our health and waking us up at night. This is a clear failure to provide a habitable living environment.

The property was also misleadingly advertised, as the actual room does not match what was presented.

Your team acknowledged this and promised a partial refund. First, we were told the money had been transferred. Then we were told the transfer was incomplete. After that, the story kept changing. Even after 90 days, nothing has been properly resolved.

Instead of fixing the issue or honoring your commitments, you are now attempting to evict us while still in breach of your obligations.

All communication and evidence have been documented.

If this matter is not resolved immediately, we will proceed with formal legal action, including claims for breach of contract, misrepresentation, and failure to provide habitable accommodation.

Very disappointing and stressful experience.

I have been staying with Homeclub in Spain for a full year, and the experience has been outstanding. The property was exactly as advertised—high quality and well-maintained. However, what really sets them apart is their customer service. Their support team is incredibly responsive and professional. Any minor issue or question was handled immediately, making my entire stay completely hassle-free. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for a premium, reliable living experience in Spain. 5/5 stars.

Incredible Value!

Last year, we had a wedding in Spain and were planning to extend our trip for a few weeks. When looking for potential short-term stays Homeclub really came through as the best alternative to a hotel. We ended up renting an apartment of theirs for a few week for an incredible price, value, and location.

Never stay at HomeClub Madrid

Never stay at Madrid, Spain HomeClub. It was the most horrendous and scary accommodation experience I have ever had. During my stay, my watch and cash were stolen from inside my apartment. There were no signs of forced entry, making it evident that the person who entered has access through the electronic keys issued and managed by HomeClub. Despite this, the staff refused to take any responsibility or provide any meaningful support. This was without exaggeration the worst experience and the worst staff.

We rented an Apartment in Malaga…

We rented an Apartment in Malaga recetly.
This was one of the most beautiful apartments in the most fantastic location we have ever rented on Airbnb. The living room balcony overlooked one of the main squares and the shopping street, giving us a perfect view of the Christmas lights from a premium spot.
The apartment was very clean, with high-quality furniture; everything was new and in excellent condition. Access was easy both via a mobile app and a magnetic key card, which made coming and going very convenient.
Everything is within easy walking distance, the метро is just a few minutes away, and the airport is also easily reachable by metro. There is always a lively atmosphere around the apartment — this is one of the busiest parts of the city — and that is exactly what we loved about it. Whenever we stepped outside, we always found open restaurants and bars. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the best choice, as the street is lively even at night.
A true gem in the city center — we will definitely return.

Manu issues with the aptment

Manu issues with the aptment . But the worst service in history from homeclub . Their employes are the worst ineficient people that i have deal with .
Dont rent with homeclub . No costumer service at all .
Empleados totalmente ineptos . No puede hablar uno con nadie a cargo .

Jorge Garcia is an excellent host

Jorge Garcia is an excellent host. He was quick to respond to my questions. The apartment is just as listed. Great location, in the shopping district and an easy 10-15 minute walk to El Ritiro. Metro is close by. I stayed with my sister and niece and we felt safe walking in the area at night and in the apartment.

Never again

I hope this helps others avoid the same mistake we made.
This was by far the most disappointing accommodation experience I’ve ever had — and absolutely nowhere near “luxury” as Home Club advertises. What we received was the complete opposite of a premium stay. Shockingly, the apartment is located in the same building as a backpackers hostel, which explains a lot about the constant noise, chaos, and complete lack of the high-end standards we were promised.

From the moment we arrived at the Corts Catalanes apartment, the problems were endless. The kitchen table was broken for nearly two weeks, all dining chairs were unusable and only replaced after four weeks, and the oven/microwave never worked at all — despite multiple technician visits that required over 12 hours of our time. Cooking was basically close to impossible for our entire stay.

For the first two months, there was relentless jackhammering and construction noise from early morning until late afternoon in the apartment next door. Working from home or even having a normal conversation was impossible. Had we known this, we never would have booked.

The “luxury” bedroom had no functioning air-conditioning (contrary to the listing) and no blinds, making sleep extremely difficult until temporary Ikea blinds were installed weeks later — and even those didn’t fix the problem. The bathroom (which is a part of the bedroom) had no exhaust fan and an electrical outlet positioned uncomfortably close to the shower, which felt unsafe and poorly thought through.

Some basic essentials were also missing. We purchased utensils, bowls, wine glasses, even a water filter —just to make the apartment liveable. Nothing about this stay resembled the “premium / signature” experience Home Club claims to offer.

What made everything worse was the complete lack of communication from the company. My calls and messages went ignored for days. I reached out to multiple staff members and even directly to the CEO, through several channels — yet not a single acknowledgment. The compensation offered was minimal and did not begin to reflect the months of disruption, inconvenience, and additional expenses we incurred.

We’ve stayed with Home Club before and had a wonderful experience, which makes this all the more disappointing. Over the past two years we’ve recommended Home Club to many people — but after this stay, I can’t recommend them to anyone.

This was not luxury, not premium, and not professionally managed. It was a deeply frustrating experience made worse by a lack of accountability and care.

I hope this helps others avoid the same mistake we made.

A Luxurious Flat with a View

This was one of the greatest Airbnbs we have ever stayed in!

First, the apartment is in a gorgeous neighborhood, so you can count on an amazing view, especially in the morning. During our stay, it rained for two days, and even then, the view was not ruined! Also, it is close to everything, so we didn’t use public transport at all!

Second, it is a luxurious flat, just like it is described and shown in the photos. The design is stunning, and it is quite spacious, so you will never feel crowded. We stayed with a little baby, and it was perfect for her because she crawled everywhere and loved the exploring the surroundings :)

Finally, and probably the most important part, the hosts were amazing. Agustin helped us get there safely even though our flight was late at night. And, Jorge made sure we had everything we needed at all times!

If you want your Madrid trip to be perfect, this is the place you need!
