Moving countries can be overwhelming, but Sherianne made our relocation to the Netherlands in January so much easier than we ever imagined. From the very beginning, she guided us through every stage with warmth, professionalism, and care.
She helped us secure a beautiful rental home in an extremely tight housing market and supported us with all the practicalities of settling in — from school placements (one at an international school and one at a Dutch primary) to guiding us on local registrations and everyday logistics that can be daunting when you first arrive.
Sherianne also connected us with a fantastic Dutch tutor in South Africa before our move, which really helped our daughters feel more confident and excited about starting their new lives here. Her advice on everything was absolutely invaluable!
What stood out most was how personal and attentive she was — she truly cared about our family’s well-being and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled. We felt supported, informed, and genuinely welcomed.

Very thorough, consistent, and guaranteed to find you a place

We had engaged Sherriane-Home made just 4 weeks before the university start date to find an apartment for my son. She was able to get us just on time. She was creative enough to get us connected to another aspirant and search an apartment within the budget. She helped us with taking over the apartment and coordination with the landlord/real estate.

Sherriane was also helpful in getting the boys settled in the city with bike renting, SIM cards, BSN , wifi setup etc.

Sherianne was very helpful in helping us with our housing issue. She provided numerous options and though many were unsuccessful (due to the competitive market) she was able to help us narrow down our options and figure out what sort of apartment best suits us. Sherianne was also a very nice person who was patient even with our numerous demands and for that we are grateful.

The only minor setback is some communication issues, mainly stemming from time-zone differences as well as our clashing schedules that sometimes led to missed opportunities as well as slow reactions from both parties but nonetheless, proper communication was always established.

After we got our apartment, Sherianne was also very helpful in making sure the agent fulfilled their end of the contract and didn't hesitate to be strict and determined with the agent in making sure we as the buyers got what we wanted.

All in all, we were able to secure an apartment and we are thankful for Sherianne's help in doing so.

Home.made was the best decision we made when moving to the Netherlands.

Sherianne helped us find an incredible home, in a great area, and not too expensive. She took care of so many of the confusing little details that we wouldn’t have thought about. When we arrived, we had transport from the airport waiting, our OV Chipkaarts, bikes, bank and government appointments and even doctor, vet, dentist and some great restaurant and shopping recommendations.

We can’t even imagine moving from Canada without Sherianne on our side!

My wife and I received an amazing service from Home.Made. Relocating to a different country is a very stressful thing to go through, however Home.Made took all this stress off our plates and ensured that we are as comfortable as possible going through all the processes of relocation.

Sherianne has a very personalized approach and really took our personal requirements in consideration and held our hand throughout our whole relocation process. She had a consultation meeting with us where she provided us with all the detail we need, as well as requested the information she needed from her side, from here it was smooth sailing. From the Big Items, like Finding us a home, relocating our pets, BSN Numbers, Registrations at gemeente, Bank Accounts etc. to the smaller items like getting internet connected and assist with our transportation cards etc., nothing was 2 big or small for her to deal with.

I’m not sure how we would have done our relocation without Home.Made, but I am really grateful for their help and assistance and would highly recommend them to anyone thinking of relocating to the Netherlands.
