Sadly they are unrealistic with the valuations which means houses just sit on Rightmove until eventually are reduced to the true value. All this does is wastes times and it’s clear they are trying to push up the commissions - they are seemingly wanting to price young people and families out of the Leigh market. I have heard a lot of negative reports about how they treat customers too.

Turned up for a viewing only for it to be cancelled at the time it was booked for. Got an email (no courtesy call ahead of time) cancelling at the time they were supposed to be there. Rude team at the office who couldn't really care less. Terrible service, and no damns to give about treating people properly. A wasted morning and terrible planning on their part. Horrible agents. Avoid and use someone else.

A big shout out to Elliott and Nathan, even though my sale fell through, I'm sticking with Home of Leigh. They have been compassionate helpful and invested in my journey. Thank you for everything you do, and are sill doing. SJ

Communication throughout was excellent. They helped us navigate what, at times, was a tricky process & we would definitely recommend to others.

My experience with Home Estates agents was in two halves. The first part of selling my house at the Thorpe Bay branch was excellent, professional but caring and guided me through the selling process well. Unfortunately the second half of the process completed by Homes in Leigh in Sea was horrendous, they had taken on the whole chain below me, which put pressure on me. I was left feeling that they didn’t work for me at all but the rest of the chain. I felt that I had no real choice if I wanted to sell my house other than to move out earlier into temporary accommodation to complete the sale. Sadly I won’t be recommending them.

If you live in the Southend catchment area, do notlook any further than Homes of Leigh to sell your house.

We recently sold our family home in Westcliff. We initially put our house up for sale in summer with another well known Essex estate agent. The experience was awful! The agent cancelled viewings without us knowing, failed to attend viewings leaving us to conduct viewings by ourselves, and repeatedly asked us to drop the sale price of our house.

We spoke to friends and family about our experience and many took the stereotypical view of "all estate agents are awful". How wrong we were!! We decided to choose another local estate agent so contacted Homes of Leigh. In stepped senior valuer Tom Lambert!

Tom apologised for the negative experience we had with the other estate agent and got right to work. Through the failings of the previous agent, Tom immediately secured a buyer for our home with a welcome bonus of £10,000 more than the asking price. This was £25,000 more than the previous agent wanted us to reduce our property to. Tom regularly updated me on the progress of the sale and the process was genuinely effortless and personal.

From the moment we chose Homes of Leigh, we knew we had made the right decision. From the simple weekly Friday updates, to quality assurance callbacks. All the staff we spoke to were absolutely outstanding. We cannot thank Tom enough for his hard work and diligence throughout the entire process. Tom made it absolutely effortless and promoted a brilliantly transparent relationship.

I have several friends who are potentially looking at selling their property in 2024. I have recommended for them to all contact Home and ask for Tom. Thank you Tom!

Home Estate Agents have just sold our house and we have to say that they have been first rate from start to finish, from the original superb marketing to all of the stages throughout the transaction, they were with us at every step, and worked very hard to push things on, all in all brilliant service.

We are so happy to give the Home Estate Agents (Leigh on Sea) five star rating. We can't recommend it high enough for all the customer service we received over the years. First we would like to mention the letting team, who took care of day to day running of the management of our rental property, always happy to help and very prompt. Thank you to Hayley and Kieran! However the biggest thanks we would like to give to the sales progression team and Jeanette Gilbert especially. Due to changes in conveyancing solicitors (ours and the purchaser) we had a very frustrating sale. And if it wasn't for Jeanette and her team we would have given up a few times in the process. They not only patiently listened to our issues with solicitors, but very often liaised on our behalf to solve new problems and unknot any delays and dead ends. We don't think we would have managed without their help. Thank you everyone !!!! You are the best!
