A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Umbria
From August 22 until September 2, 2026 we stayed in the beautiful green heart of Italy, Umbria. Through Homes to Remember, we booked Agriturismo Poggio del Pero, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something truly special.
After a wonderful journey along the Italian lakes, we reached the property on August 22 and were immediately pleasantly surprised. Surrounded by olive trees, nature, and endless greenery, we were welcomed by Raffaela, an exceptional host with a true passion for horses, nature, and hospitality. Full of energy, always smiling, and incredibly helpful, she made us feel at home from day one. As our stay progressed, it became clear that nothing was ever too much to ask.
The house, the gardens, and the swimming pool were all maintained to perfection. Everything was exactly as described, if not better. In fact, we loved it so much that we extended our stay by an additional four days shortly after arriving. That says it all.
While I could write much more about the peace, beauty, and charm of this place, Agriturismo Poggio del Pero is something you really need to experience for yourself. It's one of those rare destinations that exceeds every expectation.
The booking process through Homes to Remember was equally excellent. Communication was clear, professional, and reliable throughout, and everything was exactly as promised.
In short, we had a fantastic holiday, and if I'm completely honest, I would pack my bags and return tomorrow without hesitation.

Het is inderdaad een bijzondere plek met een hartelijke gastvrouw. Als agentschap doen wij steeds ons best vakantieadressen te vinden en toe te voegen met de achterliggende selectiegedachte of we er zelf ook op vakantie zouden willen gaan.
