Have emailed this company on various…

Have emailed this company on various occasions to cancel a domestic cover policy which was taken out by my elderly parents of which my father has since passed away,and have since discovered this policy was totally not needed as they already had cover on a new appliance and their other appliance is only worth replacing.but cover they was sold was very comprehensive right down to toaster cover,my widowed mother of 82 with pre dementia is getting phone calls regularly almost to the point of being for forceful to which she gets very upset luckily she puts the phone down now when they call .have found on Google this is quite common for this company to be like this with elderly people,I know they have a reasonable reputation but they don't reply to emails and when I spoke to a representative on phone they definitely was not helpful.

My boiler stopped working suddenly

My boiler stopped working suddenly, and an engineer came out the very same day. He was polite, professional, and had it running again within minutes. Really impressed with the speed and attitude of the team. Highly recommended!

DISGRACEFUL STEALING OFF THE ELDERLY AND VULNERABLE

I would give zero stars if possible. This company scammed my elderly mother with dementia into giving them her bank details over the telephone. They then set up a DD and took £98.98 from her account. I cancelled the DD and contacted them asap to complain. They apologised and said she would receive a refund within 3 - 5 days. It didn't arrive. I contacted them again and they said it had been approved 2 weeks previously and they would expedite it to arrive in her account that afternoon. Two months later and still no payment has been received. I have tried phoning again but the line goes dead or is constantly engaged. Disgraceful and shocking behaviour to steal off the elderly. Be warned and do not touch them with a bargepole. They are not the only company doing this, as my mother has been scammed by three other companies of the same ilk.

Difficult to cancel after a death

Found payments being taken out of my parent's bank account by Homesure warranties when they passed away. Don't know what the payments were for as we've not found any documentation or contracts, neither are there emails in their email address regarding taking out any warranties. Company makes it very difficult to contact them - the email address bounces, if you phone them you sit on hold for ages until you get cut off, you request a call back and no-one does. I've ended up sending a letter by recorded delivery to the address on their website to try and cancel these unknown payments.

My worry is that parent took out an unnecessary warranty following a cold call or was otherwise signed up to something without being fully aware of what they were signing up for.

Too Many Red Flags. Avoid

As others have noted - THIS COMPANY PREYS ON OLD PEOPLE. They set up an unwanted direct debit for my elderly mother and then it was impossible to get through on the phone

Scam

Scam. Avoid this company they prey on elderly and vulnerable people and get hold of their bank details and when you need service when something breaks down they don't even pick up the phone.

Scam company

Scam company took money from my mother's account without her permission. Her phone line isn't even connected so god knows how they think they can get away with making direct debits without permission. Raising with her bank immediately to get the money refunded. Avoid this company!

Scam

My partners mother was mis sold a warranty cover for her boiler. She is elderly, disabled and partially deaf. Nevertheless, they were able to obtain her bank account details and take a D/D payment from her account. I spotted the debit and she was able to reclaim the funds.
She lives in a rented flat, so the boiler care is solely the responsibility of her landlord…
She didn’t recall the telephone conversation with the person calling from Homesure.
I don’t now how these people sleep at night!!!

Such a helpful group of staff

Such a helpful group of staff, i have tried various different companies over the years and they all seem to just rush the process however with homesure I felt like the customer service team actually took onboard my concerns, the sales process from start to Finish was fantastic and I would highly recommend to anyone who’s on the fence !!!!

I dealt with one of the sales managers Jake who was fantastic from start to finish. Jake explained my cover in detail, answered all my questions (there was a lot of questions) and after the call I felt confident I had made the right choice.
