Shady billing practices and silencing real customers
I am writing this to provide a factual timeline of my experience with Honeytoon, as they have recently claimed on social media that negative reviews are from "pirates" or "competitors". I am a real user with a real billing dispute and with a paper trail.
• March 18, 2026: I successfully completed their multi-step unsubscription process.
• April 23, 2026: Despite cancelling, I was charged again for $9.99.
• April 23-24, 2026: I contacted support, but they refused a refund and blamed me for the charge.
• April 25, 2026: After I informed them I would initiate a bank chargeback, they finally issued the refund.
• May 2, 2026: I discovered that Honeytoon has blocked me on Instagram and all their social media pages.
It is incredibly suspicious that a company would block a customer immediately after being forced to rectify a billing error. They are currently soliciting positive reviews on X (formerly Twitter) to drown out legitimate complaints. Do not be fooled. Keep your bank statements and be ready to threaten a chargeback if you try to leave this service. With the amount of evidence I have accrued, I am sure after reading this comment, sensible people would dodge this shady company.
