We bought 3 portable air conditioners

We bought 3 portable air conditioners, used them, put them away for the winter months, mind you we bought them at the end of July 2020. Well we pulled them out this year, and one doesn't even work. I called, sent all the information they asked for, and they said no its out of warranty. Excuse me, we paid all this money for their product to work for 3 months! How can you not stand behind your product? They're well known for having a good product, and that may be so, but, I will never purchase another Honeywell item and I will tell everyone not to waste their money. Customer service is key people and Honeywell doesn't have it.

Honeywell PC42d thermal label printer…

Honeywell PC42d thermal label printer is much cheaper than the equivalent Zebra GK420. And its cheap for a reason. The PC42d doesnt support glossy labels ( they jam up because it's a low cost mechanism relying on friction, although considering its a cheap printer maybe thats to be expected ). Once the printer is working, the print is good quality and the firmware has some pretty leading edge features. However getting it to work is a nightmare. Every batch of PC42d printers has different firmware problem and you cant just download a firmware update from their support website which incidently is complete garbage. Information is hard to find and software downloads require an unneccessary download tool that doesn't work and everything requires an email to a support technician who takes a day or two to respond. Once great company seriously lost its way.

Honeywell is obsolete trash

Honeywell: purveyor of Vietnam-era electronics and other obsolete garbage.

Writing this review because we inherited a “security” system which the previous home owner installed. We were not able to silence the smoke alarms when they caught some smoke from cooking dinner. Eventually I had to track down batteries and power cords to disable the POS entirely. Honeywell lacks the engineering skills to create a button and label it “silence alarm”. Apparently there would be some numerical password required to silence an alarm. Thank God the stupid thing didn’t also call the fire department.

Worse than useless. Expensive. Terrible user interface. Archaic. Obsolete. Trash.

Don’t be stupid enough to ever buy Honeywell.

poor service and -20 on the product.

since they absolutely refuse to answer emails this is my only options. DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT purchase the honey well evaporative air cooler model number CS10XE. i purchased it in April 29th 2021. in the two months i have had it, used it approximately three weeks and the motor burned out. for a company that prides itself in quality merchandise, i say...baloney. a waste of good hard money. so do not purchase it if you value your money. buy like we did, a HESSAIRE. a much better product. i forgot to send in the warranty, so sucks to be me, but lessoned learned, quality is not from honeywell.

Have emailed back and forth with these…

Have emailed back and forth with these people for 7 months for a replacement remote for indoor/outdoor string lights. I paid $50 for these lights to not even be able to use them. I've been told twice that a remote has been sent to me. I still havent recieved the remote. I've tried calling but you cant talk to anyone due to covid... a full YEAR later. My advice DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MADE BY HONEYWELL BECAUSE IF IT BREAKS YOU ARE STUCK WITH A BROKEN PRODUCT!!

Bought a Honeywell thermostat

Bought a Honeywell thermostat. You had yo buy a special extra extra small screwdriver to fit. And then batteries. Anything to have to keep purchasing spend money. Come on. How about something uses no batteries and something we can see to install and screw in

This is the worst company ever- My son and I have been freezing for days - I get the first chance to call and they are closed? I work at a hospital and we have an exchange- is freezing not a medical emergency- ? Never will I ever buy a Honeywell thermostat again- it’s the most troublesome gadget of the 21st century.

Brand Name ruined by poor customer service

It is a shame that Honeywell ruins their efforts in making quality products by having appalling customer service and quality control.

I bought a new wireless thermostat today. When I got it home, and despite the box being sealed, I found that the box had no backplate nor stand which it should have.

I rang the retailer who, rightly or wrongly, suggested I call Honeywell to request the parts as I didn't really want another 40 minute round trip to the shop.

Firstly, I struggled to find a customer service number and, when I did, its overly long automated options didn't cover my issue.

Eventually, I spoke to a man in their technical support section who clearly wasn't interested and said Honeywell couldn't help me. I asked him if there was a specific customer service number which he gave me - this ended up being the number for a completely different company.

Clearly, Honeywell doesn't feel it needs consumer sales.

I bought a humidifier from Canadian…

I bought a humidifier from Canadian tire(Honeywell)oct of 2020 and stop working by January 2021. I called them about repair or replace because it's under warranty(2yr). Representative told me because it's in Canada that's why it doesn't cover but she will do me a favor and send me a new humidifier within 10 to 14 days. That was in Feb 5th, I Called them today to follow up today( Feb 18th) she told me they have the product, they will send to me soon. When I asked her why it wasn't sent earlier, her reply was it was back order. When I asked her can you guarantee me within 10 to 14 days her reply was she can't guarantee the time. I asked her to send me an email saying that it will be coming within the time frame she told me , she doesn't have access to the email. I asked her if I could talk to a supervisor or someone with email access , she put me on hold after 20 minutes she told me no one was available.

II could give this company a zero I…

II could give this company a zero I would. They obviously could care less about customer service or tech support. I have a thermostat that seems to have internet connectivity issues. I need to remote reset it and if I was there to reset as they suggest I would not really need a remote thermostat. I have been on hold for over 30 minutes on 2 seperate occasions over the last 2 days. Your company needs help but of course no one wants to pay to hire any one anymore. I will definitely be shopping for another companies device. It is too bad because when your device works it is great but hope that you do not have a problem because you will not ever speak to anyone. And from other posts that is useless any way from the repsonses.

Stay away from Honeywell!!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. The thermostat keeps having issues from power issues, then WiFi, now the device won’t even let us connect to WiFi. It’s awful. Each and every time on hold trying to get through to support for no less than 2 hours before even talking to anyone. Awful.

Had a Honeywell Lyric smat thermostat fitted

Fitted a Honeywell Lyric smart thermostat and really wish I hadn't. It does not connect to my wifi so really is just a door stop. There does not appear to be any customer service available, phone calls just hang. Im in the UK, so timing is important and there is no support here.

Absolute rubbish, a complete waste of time and money!

Just bought a new thermostat for $169…

Just bought a new thermostat for $169 and was having a few questions about the wiring. Called and got India on the phone (shocking I know). After she (re-read) all the same stuff in the manual, she hung up on me. (First 25 minutes). Called back and she said she had to ask someone. 19 minutes later, the phone hangs up. Typical American company outsourcing their support and we pay for it with zero help.

If I could give zero stars but....

If I could give zero stars, I would. We purchase four (4) light for the front of our home. We have three(3) at the garage doors and one (1) at the front door. These were auto-on at dusk. I sealed these to the brick walls and utilized the hardware that came with the lights. Almost immediately, the dusk-to-dawn feature on three(3) of the lights were inop. I luckily saved a box and Sam’s Club was nice enough to allow me to exchange them for four(4)more. Back out I go to install all four(4) light fixtures. Well, here I am. I must turn-on the power as of the two of the three by the garage, the dusk-to-dawn feature is inop. The one(1) at the front door is luckily still working. We have been here for many years and we’re forced to replace the much-needed exterior lights a few times now and the Honeywell fixtures were the shortest-lasting of all! The dusk-to-dawn feature is not a huge deal and we never had it before. It is now winter here in Ohio and inthe spring I will once again spend in excess of $150 and I will NOT purchase HONEYWELL light again! I would not advise anyone else to do so unless they store ALL of the boxes, receipt and hope the store is like SAM’S Club and allows you to exchange them or new ones in hope it was just the luck of the draw! I certainly do not expect the exterior lights to last forever but, a few months at best? AND! Who has time to register exterior lights. While you should, they are counting on the fact you will not save everything! Boxes, receipt, etc. and register a $28 item!

Worst product and worst customer…

Worst product and worst customer service. We bought Honeywell RTH9585WF Smart color thermostat. Within month of installation, thermostat showed Sensor error. I tried to reach customer service via phone as well as online chat. I was waiting on phone line for 1.5 hr but not able to reach customer service. Same with online chat. NO body responded to my chat even after 1 hour.
