Refused to honor warranty

I will never buy another Honeywell product as long as I live. I paid $200 for a thermostat, plus $100 for installation, and it only lasted 2 years. Before I purchase that I called Honeywell support to get information on the warranty and was told I had to purchase a specific thermostat, which I did. And then I had to have it installed by a professional, which I did. Two years later when it stopped working they've refused to honor my 5-year warranty and called me a liar on the phone after I held for almost 4 hours trying to reach someone in customer service. This company is a sham

Rubbish brand

Rubbish brand. My thermostat only lasted 9 years before the lcd went blank. Contacted Honeywell, couldn't do anything due to age and offered a £25 discount on a new one also need to find a trader to.install more money down the pit. Google my model and apparently was a very common problem.

Incompetent Technicians and no compensation!

When I installed my new Honeywell thermostat the furnace would only blow out cold air. I called the number for wiring assistance and was on hold for well over an hour. The tech had me try switching some wires around and when nothing worked told me that it was a problem with my furnace. I had a heating and cooling repairman come out. He popped open my thermostat and immediately said "this is all wrong". He switched the wires around and $125 later I have heat. When I called customer service they ADMITTED that the tech had skipped a step but said that they offer no compensation. I will be returning my thermostat and will never buy another Honeywell product. I wish I had researched them before I bought.

Diabolical Service.

Diabolical Service.
The after sales customers services at Honeywell/Resideo are nothing but downright liars.
I've been waiting over 4 months for a replacement part and all Iget are empty lies that the part is on its way.

I will never buy another Honeywell product again.

Awful!

Awful!! After 7 months of horrible service and being on the phone for endless hours with customer service for sub par and intermittent connection I finally convinced them to sever our relationship and let me go with no further obligation on either side! FINALLY! Just DON'T! Save yourself and your sanity! Horrible all the way around!

Was happy with the new thermostat I…

Was happy with the new thermostat I purchased, but the customer service was at the bottom of the tank. I actually had thermostat wired correctly but manual said if old thermostat had the white wire connected to W2 call Honeywell or contractor. Tech told me old wiring not used and connect to shaded grey W. Long story short and $125.00 dollars later, plus 2+hrs. on phone with techs, you guessed where white wire went (w2). This should have been a easy repair, but turned into a nightmare. Tech at Honeywell said call contractor and I had air handler problems. In the end just a wire. UGH!!!!

Buying an OCR-19XX License

I wanted to buy an OCR-19XX license for my Xenon 1900's device from Honeywell's website, and contacted their sales department about how to make the purchase, and they replied after 2 weeks, directing me to the reseller who provides it in my local area. The reseller issued an invoice for me to make the purchase, and I made a bank transfer to the reseller's account to complete the procedure, and they promised me the license will be delivered to me within 3 days maximum. More than 2 weeks have passed and I still did not get it, and it's been 1 month in total just to get the license software. What's even more amazing is that the reseller refuses to refund me!
Honeywell deserves -10 stars and more for their bad customer service, and picking bad and horrible resellers who offer nothing but lies and vain promises.

Thermostat manufactured wrong and bad customer service

Just installed a honeywell thermostat with 5/1/1 programmable settings. The unit blows hot air when it is set to cool and cold air when set to heat. Switching the heat and cool wires did the trick, but that just indicates that they manufactured their device wrong. Matching the heat wire to the cool receptor and cool wire to the heat receptor is just plain wrong. Sat on hold 19minutes in their customer support line, just to be hung up on when relaying the model number to “amelia” and never received a call back, even thiugh right before that she had gotten my phone number in case we were disconnected.

Honeywell products are a rip off!

Have a Honeywell humidifier that works very well. The downside is that the filters (even according to Honeywell) only last 1-3 months.
The filters are $30 plus tax and shipping. This is outrageous for what they are. It's just a Honeywell scam. They could give these humidifiers away for free and still get rich just selling the filters. Their online customer relations are just form letters that say good luck and we are so concerned. They don't give a crap. Good luck trying to contact them or get service. I'll never but another product that says Honeywell on the box! Cheers!

Honeywell has VERY POOR customer service

I have internet thermostats. Products work OK. Just hope you don't have a problem. They NEVER respond to emails, phone support is always backed up with LONG, LONG waits and they never answer live chat. If I had to do it over again, I'd buy someone else's products.

No complaints procedure

They do no possess a complaints procedure and their customer services department really could not be any worse. They promised to send out a replacement for a faulty programmer two weeks ago, but I've yet to be supplied with a tracking number, and they refuse to supply either the contact details of a customer services manager or their CEO's email address. (Her name appears to be Catherine Connolly, by the way). To cap it all, the last email I received stated that, as my complaint has now been resolved, they were closing the case! Do yourself a favour and avoid their products. APPALLING.

Honeywell programmable thermostat CM 927…

I have had a Honeywell CM 927 programmable thermostat for approx 2 years. The screen has slowly started to fail and is now almost un-readable. A quick bit of research shows that there are many people with exactly the same issue. You have a choice, throw it away and choose another supplier, attempt to repair it (heating the screen supposedly rebonds the ribbon) or buy another at around £100. You cannot buy a replacement screen, if it fails quickly enough you might be able to get it replaced under warranty but the best option I would advise is not to buy a Honeywell thermostat at all.

So, if you are researching a WiFi programmable thermostat avoid Honeywell as this is not the only model with this issue - google it and see the issues. A terrible product from a manufacturer who clearly does not deserve your money.

Worst customer service ever.

I have a wifi th6000 which I am trying to get working correctly.
I have a Honeywell thermostat wifi tc6000 which is not working correctly. Phoned customer service 2 days ago. They took all my infirmation and gave me a Tech Support work order number. Waited 25 min for a tech support representative then hung up. Phoned again today. They had all my info. Told the rep. I waited 25 the other day. He said high call volume. His advice put phone on speaker that way you can be hands free until support picks up. This time I waited 30 min then hung up. I tried both live chat and email but no Honeywell connection to either. Apparently Honeywell cares very little about quality of customer service.

Appalling customer support. Not a company to deal with.

I was looking to purchase a burglar alarm, and the technical information on the Honeywell website didn't help.
I emailed Honeywell using the email on their website, and did receive a reply, which didn't answer my questions, and pointed me to a link on their website - which didn't help with any of the questions.
I wrote back, with specific questions, and repeated some of the unanswered questions, and received no reply.
I wrote again to advise them that without a reply, I wouldn't proceed with a purchase of their alarm systems - which was almost a formality - and got no reply.
So with almost non-existent customer support, I would not purchase a system in case there was an issue requiring support.

Excellent service

I have a cm921 thermostat that was playing up a couple of years after buying, I called Honeywell they sent me a new thermostat but I’m not very good and understanding manuals so called them up and they talked me through binding thermostat to the relay box, very helpful would definitely buy from again.
