The product was nice. The service was terrible.
The product was fine. I got 3,000lbs of cedar rails and fence posts.
The customer service was TERRIBLE. The guy who brokered the freight shipping didn't tell me that the bundles that arrived at my residence would be physically impossible to remove from the truck without a forklift.
The two young men who showed up to deliver it told me that they would have strapped it to the back of the flatbed, rather than the front, and would have turned it sideways rather than parallel to the flatbed, had they known I didn't own a forklift. That would have allowed us to cut the straps on the bundles, and push the items off of the folding ramp.
Even though I fulfilled my end of the bargain-- I was ready, willing, and able to help get the delivery men manually remove stuff from the flatbed--that wasn't an option because of how it had been loaded. The guys told me, and it was obvious, that if we cut the straps on those bundles, the rails would have fallen off of the side of the truck and cracked or broken.
Given that I told the customer service rep that I was a regular person at a residence, he should have known I didn't have a forklift, and he should have given the delivery folks a heads up that forklift wasn't going to be there.
I was actually able to solve the fiasco they caused because I have a deep and long relationship with a nearby family-owned lumber yard, which was able to take delivery for me. But I had to pay them an extra $200 to deliver it back to my home.
Afterwards, I wrote a friendly email telling the customer service rep about the problem with the delivery, and noting that I was able to solve their problem. I didn't even ask for a credit, I just said I was providing feedback to improve their business. "Thanks for the feedback" would have been a normal response.
Instead, the customer service rep blamed ME for the issue. Repeatedly. I kept explaining and he kept telling me it was my fault. He just could not accept that he had made a mistake, even though I was being totally cool about it. It was actually insane.
**UPDATE: Hoover Fence Company has responded, once again blaming me for the problem. It's like they didn't bother to read my review. I WAS READY WILLING AND ABLE TO REMOVE THE ITEMS FROM THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO DO BASED ON HOW THEY WERE LOADED.
Get it through your skulls, folks. Y'all hired some rag tag guys who loaded their stuff incorrectly and admitted their mistake to me.

We reviewed your order and correspondence with our representative and confirmed that you were informed that our carriers do not provide unloading services prior to purchasing. We deliver many of these orders to residences and the normal procedure is to cut the banding on the bundle and hand unload. Our carrier should have confirmed your delivery in advance, including your delivery address and that someone would be present at the time of delivery to unload. If you needed unloading services, you would have needed to ask for them prior to purchasing, as there are additional delivery costs to have a truck with lift gate services delivering an order. We're sorry that there was confusion about this process. We will review our shipping policy on our website and see if there is any further clarity that we can provide to the " Unloading" and "Special Carrier Services" sections. Thank you for your feedback.

Robust products.
Quick delivery. Robust products (2inch stl post base, in-line and corner wood adapters for 2" post). Very well made. Would have given 5 stars, but a couple corner adapters were not fabricated as true 90 degree corners. Had to do a little pounding to make them square.
Regardless, quality overall is excellent & would buy again.
