After dedicating the past 10 years of her life to teaching children, withdrawing from her career to focus on raising a young family proved extremely challenging for our founder, as it does for many others. Feeling isolated, unfulfilled, and physically drained our founder sought ways to deal with the stress of raising 7 children and adapting to life as a stay-at-home mum. Sharing her parenting journey on Instagram, she found support and encouragement and the beautiful Hooyos House community emerged bringing together passionate parents from all walks of life. Our founder’s passion for east African cuisine and her beautiful family meals began to attract attention and eventually a mission began to de-stress dinner time for families by making it easy to create delicious home-cooked meals. Hooyos House creates high quality, easy-to-use, dry seasoning blends that are enjoyed worldwide by those who want to effortlessly create authentic east African dishes without compromising on taste. With one less thing to worry about, we hope that families can focus on enjoying each other’s’ company and create memorable moments.

I’ve ordered so many times already
I haven’t been able to find flavours similar to the rice and meat. I’ve introduced your spice blends to all my family and friends and they also love them as much as me. I hope u never stop making them!!! I’ve recently bought the tea and wow they have not disappointed.

Staple in my kitchen
I’m a regular buyer of the hooyos house spices and I am always restocking as soon as I see any signs that they are about to finish. They’ve changed my life and taken my cooking to the next level. I always feel like I’m cooking a 5* dish everytime i use them. Literally tastes like wedding food every single time!
