I have hosted sites and Servers with Hostek for ~10 years. I have found that they are truly reliable with 99.99% uptime. I seldom need tech support but I have found them to be very responsive. I highly recommend them.

Used for over 20 years in all (via various companies they had acquired). The price hasn't always been the cheapest but mostly reliable.
However on renewal I was told that I could only pay by logging into my account and I could only do that by downloading some 3rd party authenticator app onto my phone. I thought it must be some mistake, but know they expect you to download a phone app before you can pay them. You can't pay any other way I was told, nor will they do any other type of authentication.
Email support is hopeless you just get nonsense answers from a bot, not a real person, same on the website. I did eventually manage to get through but staff were disinterested in helping. So I cancelled and went elsewhere.
It is really ridiculous they expect you to install a phone app to be able to pay them or even cancel. Bizarre attitude to make it deliberately difficult to pay them. I moved to Hostinger. Much cheaper, doesn't require an app to pay and seems to work well.

I have been trying to logon to my account to pay an invoice for some time now, but to no avail. Was tearing my hair out as I was getting nowhere. All it took was a call to Stefan who sorted my problem out within a couple of seconds of talking to him. He is a credit to your company

Being of a certain age, I found the new way of logging in to pay an invoice for our local history group totally overwhelming and way beyond my understanding. Vlad, bless him, had the patience of a saint guiding me through the process, even to realising I had downloaded the wrong authenticator. He is an asset to the company with a 'work commitment' like his.

Have had constant problems over the last 12-18 Months.
Service is getting poorer with costs going up.
Not sure when the 24/7 365 support kicks in.
Now causing professional embarrassment with clients, who are now suffering ongoing issues that are rarely fixed in an acceptable timeframe.
Email outages with no explanation, wait hours for online support. Will be using until the end of unfortunately purchased years contract and will move to another Hosting Company.

How could a company be so poor? Hostek tried to force 2-factor authentication onto me which I explained to the support that I didn't want and if they wouldn't offer a normal account then I would move my domains away and go elsewhere. So domains have been transferred away from them but these cowboys continue to invoice me for a service they aren't providing and have the cheek to send reminders that the invoice for the service which has NOTHING to do with them anymore is overdue!

In October 2024, the Hostek Hurricane Server was down for about 7 days during which time none of my 3 web sites, developed using Sitebuilder v4, were available! When the server was re-instated, the Sitebuilder software was no longer available so that I had no way of maintaining my sites. I migrated to Site.Pro, the best decision that I have made since retiring as an IT Director. As an ex user I still get a constant stream of emails from Hostek informing me of problems and server downtime. You all have my sympathy.
