I visited Hearing Matters in Ashton after being referred to SpecSavers by my GP for Hearing Aids. Spec Savers issued me with NHS Hearing Aids, which I found bulky and lacking in more modern technology.
Hearing Matters were fairly local to me, and offered a free hearing test and consultation, and so I paid a visit to Gemma, who was extremely helpful in explaining my hearing difficulties, offered me some free advice on things I could buy on Amazon and try at home, and even let me demo a few different sets of hearing aids at home for week with no obligation to buy, or hard sell.
I've been back to visit Gemma many times now, and whilst my decision was that none of the hearing aids were for me at this time, the Customer Service was absolutely amazing, and if I ever need anything at all relating to my hearing, this is the first place that I'll be running back to.
Thank you so much Gemma!

Conor was very professional and talked through all the available options once he had reviewed my hearing test in detail. I came away with the ability to make an informed choice as to whether hearing aids where required and the most appropriate product.

I’ve been seeing David Parsons for several years now, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. As someone living with Autoimmune Inner Ear Disease, my hearing loss has been a challenging and evolving condition — but David has consistently provided outstanding care, support, and expertise throughout.
He takes the time to listen, explain options clearly, and tailors solutions to my specific needs. His professionalism is matched by genuine compassion, and I always leave appointments feeling reassured and well looked after. Whether it’s routine check-ups or more complex adjustments, David’s attention to detail and commitment to my wellbeing have made a real difference in my quality of life.
If you're looking for an audiologist who combines deep knowledge with a truly personal approach, David is the one to see.

The Hanley Branch.
A first class service providing hearing aids to suit the customer, not the supplier. That's only the start, the aftercare is second to none, Nothing is too much trouble. They really do put the customer first, which is a rarity now a days. Keep up the excellent service.

I can’t thank Tracey and the team enough for their care, patience and perseverance while helping my dad who has Alzheimer’s when he found it hard to understand what was happening and cope with the process. They explained everything many times, took their time and did their best to make it easier for him. I would highly recommend them.

I was traveling throughout Scotland and needed new filters for my hearing aids ! I looked up Hearing Services in Galashiels while there. Lynndee immediately took care of my problem and sent me off with enough filters so I wouldn’t have a future problem! Friendly and kind!

Just home after having wax removal carried out by Oriana who was very caring and professional. She explained every step of the process and then carried out the procedure efficiently and painlessly. She has referred me to my GP for a follow up as a result of noticing possible signs of infection. I would thoroughly recommend this practice for this treatment.

I cannot recommend enough the dove hearing centre in Hanley. They are all wonderful especially the audiologist Ashley who is amazing. I’m 50 and have experienced unilateral hearing loss for years and so it was time to do something about it. Ashley was professional, caring and made me feel at ease. I’ve now got two hearing aids and feel wonderful and can now hear!! 👂
Ashley is a credit to his profession and I’m so happy he is my audiologist!
Thank you all once again

They were offering free ear wax removal back in February for the over 70s, that was my first visit..cannot praise them enough...free hearing check which, 6 months later, resulted in digital hearing aids. Staff are lovely, Dan, who sorted me out, what a super chap, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable...lovely lady on Reception, made sure the ramp was out so I could drive in on my mobility scooter...I would certainly recommend a visit to the Stockton Heath branch and you will receive first class care and attention.

I went in because one of my hearing aids was dead. I expected an appointment, but the receptionist took it aside and replaced a wire, and it’s now fine. As well as a receptionist, she turned out to be a skilled technician, an unexpected bonus to ordinarily good service.

I am already an NHS hearing aid wearer, but I am looking to upgrade to a system that can support my tinnitus. As it's going to be an expensive outlay I have been trying to do some research as to what is available, the different models and programs. If you were buying a car you would want to see and try various models and get as much information as possible.
I had already checked out places like Specsavers and Boots but decided to check out somewhere dedicated to hearing. I popped into town and into the shop. The Reception area was empty and nobody appeared to be around. I could hear voices in one of the rooms so I sat and waited. After about 10 minutes a girl came out and asked if I was OK. I explained the reason for popping in, just to get some information. She explained nobody else was there, no audiologists, just her (an ENT person) and she was busy with someone. She said I could make an appointment, but seriously, after such an uninspiring, unmanned reception I told her I would not be bothering. If this is what customer service is to be expected I'm not going to be spending over £3000 on new hearing aids if nobody is around to support me if I need someone's advice. I also wasted my parking ticket.

Grateful thanks to Ashley and the team at Dove Lichfield for a first class service, from initial consultation, through selection of aids, to final reviews and adjustments.
Ashley is second to none; highly professional, knowlegeable and patient, taking care to understand any teething problems and/or other difficulties, offering explanations, guidance and advice on solutions.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Ashley and Dove for all your hearing needs.

I came to see Stuart for the first time for an annual review. He has many years of experience as an audiologist which shows but he also maintains an interest and passion for the job and is very deaf aware making for clear communication. He provided a service and was not pushy in selling new products, some are unfortunately and give the profession a bad name, thankfully the House of Hearing has risen above that strategy with the focus on client welfare.

I had some pairing issues and was invited into the clinic by Stuart. My problem was solved within 15 minutes, with the usual high levels of efficiency.
I have severe bi-lateral hearing loss and have been a client of HoH for almost twenty years and have never once experienced any issues which have never been solved very quickly.
I am always seen by Stuart, whose knowledge and professionalism are beyond reproach. His understanding of the daily issues and difficulties faced by the hearing impaired, and the requirement for the right adaptations, is indeed impressive.
This company are the epitome of person centred customer service. Look no further, I highly recommend.
