Howards was the removal company for the previous owners of our house. During the move they damaged our fence with their moving truck. Despite frequent conversations and promises from Dan over phone and email and claims their insurance would contact us - 2 months later no progress of any kind has been made.

Howards were able to help us out at short notice for a complicated move from Bristol to Cornwall. They are competitively priced and provided an efficient, careful and friendly service. Would not hesitate to recommend Howards, they are excellent.

I must admit that I was a little skeptical when an unsolicited letter arrived, but without it I'd probably never have found them. I thought I might as well get a quote, and I'm very glad that I did.
From start to finish, the process was excellent, with a quick assessment and what seemed like a very reasonable quote, to the extent that I didn't bother getting any others. Dylan and Owen turned up punctually on the day and worked quickly and efficiently. The whole process was stress-free and reassuring, with great care taken to protect everything.
Highly recommended.

Contacted a few local companies to check prices and availability and chose Howards removals of Somerset. They were very knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble and were fairly priced.
They turned up on time on the day of moving, well prepared with everything they could possibly need. It was a a giant removals lorry and they packed it to the rafters, being extremely careful with everything. They unpacked at the new address putting everything where we wanted. Very strong, polite, friendly guys could not recommend more, absolutely took the stress out of the day. Would 100% recommend.

Excellent in every way making the packing and removals of a house move as smooth as can be. Packed everything with care and worked so hard through blazing hot days. Very impressed.

It is just wonderful when a team of people know what they are doing, carry it out professionally, efficiently and with good humour. Our move after 31 years in the same house ran smoothly, as a result of Matthew Crook’s family run business. Artificial Intelligence robots haven’t arrived for moving house - thank goodness as Matthews team proved that old world standards are worth nurturing. Can't recommend Howard's removal enough, very professional Craig and Dylan were hard working and took great care of our processions. It wasn't a big move or a great distance but still 100%.

Following my move in January 2024, my worldly possessions went into storage.
This was through Howards also.
As perfect as my items went into storage, they came out the same way.
Thank you Liam and Owen so very much, they moved me into my new home, careful and considerate throughout.

Shout out to Craig and the other gentleman who helped us move from Weston-super-Mare to Kent. Genuinely nice and caring people and performed miracles packing down a house an unpacking at the other end, keeping everything neat and tidy.

Also shout out to Howards for going the extra mile to secure us a moving date when other companies we spoke to just said they were busy the whole week, I wish I could remember the Gentleman's name who helped me, maybe it was Ryan.

Howards removal men were very professional from start to finish. We moved about 200 miles across England. There were minor hiccups, but there always is on moving day but these were ironed out. There was a delay of a couple of hours getting into the new property, but their waiting time fee was very reasonable, and they still managed to finish in good time. Nothing was broken or damaged and even glass and china packed by myself is absolutely fine.
I would recommend them to anyone. 10/10

We recently moved house and booked a large removal lorry with Howards and we were so glad we did !, the team that turned up on our moving out day were brilliant. They came prepared with plenty of equipment and covers, etc and worked non stop all day . They were polite, professional and had a good sense of humour ! We would definitely recommend anyone needing to move house to book removals with Howards... they wont be disappointed.

We used Howards to move us from Somerset to Cumbria - a 2 day job. We chose them because of the good reviews they already had (and the competitive pricing) - they lived up to those reviews. It took a while and several changes of date between the first quote and the move but they were always patient and helpful with lots of experience. The crew were great and even managed to extract our weird sofa through a tight doorway that was not there when the sofa went in. They arrived at our new house a couple of hours ahead of us. They were so charming to our new neighbours that they got offered cups of tea.

My advice is to use their packing paper and tape - don’t bother trying to buy this elsewhere. Their tape is less sticky than some but makes less mess on things and the boxes don’t move much so you don’t need really sticky tape.

Our two day move from Somerset to Lancashire was carried out in the most efficient and stress free way possible brought about by the expertise of Ian and Liam. They were both helpful and good natured and nothing was too much trouble.
The company gives excellent value for money and their quote was considerably less than their competitors and I would recommend their services without a moments hesitation.

Moving house is a stressful experience but the Howard’s team made everything as stress free as possible. The removers were a nice, friendly group and coped with all our belongings both large and awkwardly shaped. Nothing was damaged en route and when we changed our minds about where stuff had to go in the new house, they happily shifted things around! Finally the packing boxes have now been collected for our refund.
We would thoroughly recommend Howard’s for any Somerset moves.

These guys are brilliant. We were in a desperate situation and being quoted silly money by other firms. On hearing of our plight they quoted us a fair price for the job. Arranged it in only 4 days and then moved us on a Saturday.
I cannot recommend these guys enough. Dont bother getting alternative quotes. They are honest and totally trustworthy.

We are so glad that we chose Howards for our move from Somerset to Hampshire. Moving house is always likely to be a tad stressful, but a great removal team can make the day run smoothly. All was safely packed and unpacked, and they didn't hang about! How Matt got that lorry through those tight spaces at each end I'll never know!
