Booked an express W hike in Torres del Paine. The first day went smoothly with no issue and the info given was accurate. Unfortunately for the second day the company both on the website and on the briefing session gave us the wrong information which meant we were booked to sleep in one place but in fact they booked us at another place that was further away and with lower standards than what we’ve agreed and was advertised on their website. This also affected our last day as the second option to hike to lago grey was 35km away something that was impossible to achieve. I’ve connected with the agency and their response was sorry this happened to you - no compensation what’s so ever for a trip that was booked 6 months in advanced. I would not recommend booking through them.

Howlanders did came back to me with a real apology taking responsibility of the case and the miscommunication. They even talked with the local agent that arranged the tour in their behalf to try and understand what went wrong and as a sorry refunded some of the money we’ve paid. I hope the info would be corrected on their webpage.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! They did not make a reservation for me. Although they took my money. They’re customer service is unresponsive. Now I’m stuck without a tour and have already spent a lot of money.

They are located in Spain selling trips in Chile. They say you can call them, but they don’t answer. You don’t get information on your trip until the last minute from a local guide service that they contract with in Puerto Natales. This was not good when I was trying to plan a multi day trek. Locals told me they often have trouble with them,

After posting a less than complimentary review of Howlanders they contacted me within an hour of the review - this was after days of me trying to make contact with them. To their credit they then offered me alternatives and then refunded the monies I had paid. So well done Howlanders!!

Unfortunately I thought it best to cancel my trip to Peru due to the astronomical increase in Covid cases here in the US. I notified Howlanders when I cancelled and ask the company to process my refund. It was deposited into my bank account in 4 days. Kudos to you Howlanders!

Amazing service. I had to cancel my trip due to COVID 19 outbreak and everyone in the Howlanders team was extremely helpfull! I will for sure book with them again once this crazy period has ended.

Our review is based on uncorrect or at least unclear information on Howlanders website, and not the actual service provided by a smaller “friend/coparative-Company” in Uyuni.

We booked a 3 day trip to the Uyuni Salt Flats. On Howlanders website it says that: The driver speaks basic engelish enough to explain about the visited places.

We didn’t expect a driver with a full vocabulary in english, as it also says that you can book a proffesional english speaking guide additionaly. But our driver couldn’t speak a word in english which is not in alliance with what is said and promissed online. So just be aware of this detail (but to us a pretty vital one regarding our understanding of the visited places). We wrote to Howlanders about this and as we understood they would change this information and make it more clear, but they didn’t yet.

We would like to thank Javier (Howlanders) for all the recommendations and help for our trip. The tour Salar de Uyuni was amazing!

Howlanders was very helpful in providing more than suficient information in regard to going on a tour of the salt flats (Salar de Uyuni). I felt as though I was well informed about the tour without feeling the pressure to buying it.
