How To Teach My Ummah (HTMU) is an Islamic education company dedicated to helping Muslim children become confident, fluent readers and writers while keeping their deen at the heart of their learning. We provide specialist literacy support, tutoring, parent education and resources grounded in the Science of Reading and evidence-based teaching practices. Our approach goes beyond simply teaching children phonics; we identify gaps in their foundations and systematically develop their reading, spelling, writing and fluency skills. Through structured programmes, assessments and parent training, HTMU equips both children and their families with clear, practical steps to overcome literacy difficulties without compromising their Islamic values. Our goal is to help raise a generation of Muslim children who have the literacy skills and confidence to succeed academically, seek knowledge, access beneficial books and grow into capable contributors to the Ummah.

One of the best Islamic based phonics…

One of the best Islamic based phonics resource. I have purchased some of the digital products and it has been very useful . They are organized ,simple and most importantly Islamic based .
The workshops, training, newsletters and the free community by how to teach my ummah has always been wonderful and I have learnt many beneficial tips from it.
I have always recommended how to teach my ummah to anyone seeking for phonics resources with Islamic ethos.

The teacher is patient and enjoyable to work with. اللهم بارك

How To Teach My Ummah has been

How To Teach My Ummah has been such a blessing for my son Allhamduliah!! I was going through such a difficult time with my son not being able to differentiate letters, sounds, and READ. Whenever we would sit down to read he would get anxious, frustrated and just guess the words. Allhamduliah after finding How To Teach My Ummah my son is now excited to read!! In one year he has advanced 3 grade levels Allahuma Barik. Reading is now fun in our home and I could not be happier with How To Teach My Ummah!! My son looks forward to his lessons and loves his teacher so much Allahuma Barik ♥️
