This has been the worst help

This has been the worst help, customer service I have ever experienced. Almost FOUR hours on the phone for a printer that does not work. I started with an AI, requested a representative, texted with a representative that was trying to SELL me another printer, sent to another department in which I carried on a conversation with an AI and was not aware I was speak with an AI, got another representative spoke with him, transferred to yet another representative and went through troubleshooting only to be asked at the very end if it was under warranty, luckily it is ot I would of been even more upset because that should of been the first question asked, and now I am on hold to be trans to ANOTHER department to have the broken printer fixed. I am going to write all of this on the Google review. How I was lied to, deceived, and on the phone for four hours attempting HP to accept their responsibility and honor their warranty to replace a printer. All the while being treated disrespectfully because I did not ever know and still do not know which department I am waiting on. Another snazzy note is that the printer that was tried to be sold to me is $209.05 at Walmart on sale that is cheaper than the current printer I have. Also, I repeatedly told all staff members it was a gift then asked where I bought it from….. why might you ask I tolerated all of this? Because I have to have a printer for work. Yes o could of just said forget it and go on down to Walmart to get the better newer edition of this printer for cheaper than the printer but why should I throw away money on buying something I need when I have one that was gifted to me and still under warranty. If you own Apple products by Epson. I have learned that they are the most compatible with Apple products. If you do not have Apple products then buy a cannon. Or you can be just like me waiting on HP to take responsibility that they sold my friend a lemon and wait FOUR hours for them to honor their warranty on their vey own products.

Updated my old printer to reject 3rd party cartridges

I have two HP printers in my house a 10 year old and a 3 year old one in my office, I recently had to connect it to my pc for the first time in a long time. After a bunch of updates it said if I wanted to join HP+ I couldn't use 3rd party cartridges, so I declined, very next thing it does is start to push an update to my printer to detect and reject 3rd party cartridges. I immediately disconnected the printer from the internet but it was to late and I had to let the update finish, so now the new 3rd party cartridges in it plus my backups are garbage. I immediately bought another brand printer and threw the HP printers away, I won't even give them to someone else, I hope HP burns.

Horrendous dealing with a death

I've made contact with them after my stepdad has died to try and get photos etc off the laptop as we don't know the password.

They don't have a service centre anywhere local to me (closest was about 400 miles away!) To call them, they want to charge you for the repair and they don't specify how much that is. Be transparent with your customers. Give them a rough price for repairs so they can make an informed decision BEFORE they contact you.

There was no empathy when I reached out on social media. No "sorry to hear about your stepdad" etc. You should personalise messages to customers instead of just sending automated replies.

You should have service centres that you can walk into and there should be more than 1 for the whole of the UK. It's a big enough country!

I've always thought a lot of HP before and I'm sorry to say this has changed my mind about them. I'll have to take the laptop to an unauthorised local repair shop and I'll think twice about HP products in future.

I would give this 5 negative stars if I…

I would give this 5 negative stars if I could on this day March 2026. They have produced the most garbage printer ever and NOOOO customer service. I'd love to bring this piece of trash to their headquarters and throw it through their door. Do NOT buy HP. Completely, utterly useless piece of plastic garbage that takes up space in your home office. Just don't do it.

I wish I would have read the reviews…

I wish I would have read the reviews for HP before I bought this printer. I'll make it short. The printer has a KNOWN issue. When I called CS I was informed the printer was not under warranty and to get help I could do so by paying $20....FOR ONE QUESTION!!!! Seriously? So an issue that is clearly the fault of HP and then your solution is to charge me money?!?! One question 20 dollars. Wow. You're charging more than they do for phone sex. I'm guessing they get more done for the $3.99 a minute and more questions than the one you're charging $20. You are, however, just as, or more sleezy, than they are. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER HP PRODUCT!!!!!

Useless Customer Support

Have an active HP 3 year Care Pack with my printer and have had to use it just 4 months after purchase as the print quality is so poor even after multiple alignments and cleaning cycles. Logged a call and the whole process was lengthy stressful and completely pointless. Contact centre staff don't listen to information and just follow a script asking you to check things which are clearly completely unrelated to the issue

Absolutely terrible website

Absolutely terrible website, who ever is employed to run the website should be sacked, I pay for the insta ink and had terrible problems trying to confirm my card details. So so disappointing, avoid this company and its products…. I am also being ripped off with the monthly charge for ink, would be better off buying a different printer and buy my own cartridges

I will never by HP again

I will never by HP again. Bought printer in January 2026, it keep dropping network & have to keep resetting it constantly. Spent 1 hour on tech support line & got nowhere, constantly trying to blame my wifi- network, despite all over devices in my home working fine. Refused to exchange printer. The most difficult of all printers I have used and would not recommend getting a HP printer. Poor product, poor customer service, poor outcomes and a waste of money for customers.

AVOID USED TO BE GOOD ,BUT ARE NO LONGER

Always purchased HP, but quality and function of printers has rapidly declined, customer support is useless and continually loose your complaint and not answer or sort.
When the printer did work it spent 5 mins cleaning itself and wasting ink before printing.
Won't now purchase any items from HP, this ones now going in bin as I can't waste any more time on it, trying Canon hoping its better.

Bought a HP Envy 6400 printer

Bought a HP Envy 6400 printer. A disaster: after a few months of very light use, it will not take the paper to print (I have to keep the printer inclined). The Wi-Fi connection is erratic as I often need to switch off and on the machine to reconnect. The cartridges are expensive and do not last. Customer service is terrible, manned by rude people. I will never buy an HP item again.

I was a loyal customer of HP Laptops

I was a loyal customer of HP Laptops. This is my fifth one. What happened. HP resarts your laptop without warning. HP send advertisements to your system tray anoying you. If I wanted to see ads I would watch Youtube. These issues HP rolled out by choice and by choice I will no longer support HP. That fifth laptop will be my final. I will not buy another HP Product nor anything related to HP and their sister companies. They are gone from my life now and forever.

Delay shipping. Won't refund money.

Today is March 16, 2026. I ordered a computer on February 16. Big mistake. With two delays in shipping dates, I cancelled the order. They told me the cancellation was unsuccessful. I told them I had purchased another computer and not to ship. They then said they would refund it. Lots of nonsense about about why they could not refund. The computer is still in HP possession but they won't refund my money. They say that on 3-18 they will respond my money and it will take 3-5 days for the refund to hit my bank. At that time, they will have had my money for about 5 weeks. They are scammers. Think of how many people they do this to and keep our money until they decide to use it. They are creating a revenue stream. They should not be allowed to have a business in the United States. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau and to my states attorney general. I will write about them in every place I can. People need to be warned. I will never purchase an HP product again.

Avoid HP!!! 2 printers they remotely disabled!!!

As if HP needs more 1 *! Please Trustpilot introduce a 0* or better still a negative scale. I chased HP ink service for months to say I was not getting ink despite them still charging me..so I cancelled the DD hoping they’d contact me..they did..6 months later. I spoke with an understanding lady that understood the problem (no refund for 12m +, but happy to get rid of them..) now it’s started again! Printer disabled and the change you payment details emails again. I’ll go to curry’s where I bought both printers and create a scene and make sure that they know HP are crap at CS…printers are good but DO NOT EVER SUB THE INK SERVICE! It doesn’t work and once sub’s they’ll control your printer and prevent you using it! And to think I wasted money buying HP cartridges all that time -wish I’d not. Really really rubbish service from HP-avoid at all costs. NEGATIVE STARS

Worst products and even worse customer…

Worst products and even worse customer service. I subscribed to all in one printer and received a defective printer. Finding it impossible to get a replacement. Three chat sessions and one phone call and no help whatsoever.
Update, just got off the phone with another agent at HP after three more. I cancelled my plan and am returning the defective printer.

Don't buy an HP laptop !

HP introduced an annoying caps lock pop-up alert to its keyboard operating system, but there is no way to turn it off. Every time you press caps lock an annoying watermark pops up in the centre of your screen for a couple of seconds. An IT man I know says customers have been complaining about this for a year, but it has refused to sort a fix to turn it off. Very poor company.

The worst cutormer service and product is HP

Truly dissatisfied with the printer and the customer service. This has been a two year delay to service my printer and every time it takes 2 hours of runaround. When I contact the chat service they ask me to perform all sorts of surgery on the device and I have no idea what is happening. Then I call the HP number on the 1 800 line and then it connects to the Philippines and they just tell me they cannot help me she wants to me to do more troubleshooting. I ask for help and then it takes 2 hours to tell me they cannot help me at all. To date I have spent $700 dollars on ink and product.
