Agoda scammers tried to steal my money

Sought a refund from Agoda. The hotel manager advised that he had received a refund request and approved it. Agoda has only partly paid and tried to steal $150 from me. Only rectified when I emailed requesting their head office registered office address to start legal action.
They thought I would give up but they picked the wrong person to try and screw over.

I put a review on headlining poor customer services

I put a review on headlining poor customer service, they then in reply ask me to contact them I did no reply from Agoda, put a review on stating this, they then replied through Trustpilot to contact them again and they would sort out
I had booked a hotel, when booking conformation came through the were two bookings let them know immediately on chat thing it ask if I wanted to cancel one of the bookings, of cause i said yes, they then charged me twice for a mistake, tried to get my money back no joy what so ever, I posted two reviews, they gave me a contact for customer services, they told me they had no record of me my emails or accounts because I closed my account, I told them I could prove it they ask for screenshots of bank statements which I sent, they said they then needed booking numbers, I contacted PayPal sent screenshots of payment to Agoda and booking numbers, I did everything they asked
They have just came back to say sorry you cancelled your account we can’t find your email or name or any transactions
If this is the case Agoda are trading illegally because they can find the booking ID on there accounting software, or are they false accounting
Agoda are morally wrong, customer service’s is a joke
I will inform the relevant authorities regards, there accounting, because I know they can find the payments, I ran a company for 30 years
But think before you use Agoda, no customer loyalty at all, no one cares, one small mistake could cost you a lot of money, I am 75 years old and it’s cost me

Taxes not disclosed at booking – misleading

I booked a stay at Hotel O Ban Cheong through Agoda, where the price was clearly shown as “Taxes and fees included”. Upon arrival, the hotel charged an additional mandatory local tourist tax, which was not mentioned anywhere in the booking confirmation or invoice.
This is misleading and not transparent, as the total cost advertised did not reflect the full price. Agoda’s support repeatedly referred me to the hotel policy, but the responsibility to clearly display all mandatory charges at the time of booking lies with Agoda, according to EU consumer law (Directive 2005/29/EC on unfair commercial practices).
I hope Agoda improves transparency so future customers are not misled.
Agoda continues to ignore the real issue and repeats the same scripted response.

Please stop contacting me to explain what a tourist tax is — that is not the problem. The problem is price transparency. The booking was clearly displayed as “Taxes and fees included”, yet a mandatory government tax was charged on arrival and was not disclosed in the booking confirmation or invoice.

Blaming “hotel policy on there website” does not change the fact that the advertised total price was not the full mandatory price, which is misleading under EU consumer law (Directive 2005/29/EC).

Agoda still refuses to answer a simple question:
Is this misleading price display accidental, or intentional?

Small print predation

I was caught in a situation where I could not reach my hotel due to a missed flight. I notified the hotel as soon as I could but am still being charged. I also use agoda for Thai lion air. I booked a flight to Bangkok and picked the wrong date by mistake. It didn't matter. I have been charged without any remedy. Companies like this may have something in the small print to minimize their liability, but it is also not played in good faith. They capitalize on events like this.

Hotel booking has wrong dates

Hotel booking has wrong dates.
I advised AGODA as soon as I found out and as I was travelling arrived at hotel. Hotel was happy to change dates if AGODA confirmed so they could ensure payment.
AGODA said I needed to allow their booking intermediary 12 hours to determine request so no room for that night. AGODA offered several excuses before cancelling non refundable booking and declining a refund.
I made a fresh booking with Expedia for correct dates and now need to try to get a refund.

AGODA STEALING MONEY ON PUBLIC CC

Agoda called me to pay for booking on phone. They called me and took the payment bu there was no booking.

Since then I sent 100 mails to pay back that money. Only get preset e.mails they cannot find or booking. They have actually cheated and took back the amount they gave by agoda cash. This company is big fraud and openly cheating public. There are only 3 email contacts amd therebis no where to take matter to any complain level they are all hiding behind 2 mail addresses.

They staff is complete bully. There are many people complaining they stole cash from their credit cards and never returned.

BE VERY CAREFUL IN DEALING WITH AGODA SCAM.

PLEASE ASK FOR ALL EVIDENCE.

DO NOT USE THIS AGENT UNDER ANY…

DO NOT USE THIS AGENT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
I searched for accommodation in Vancouver Canada - while I was IN Canada. I needed a room with two beds for two people. I chose Agoda as they advertised the best price for the chosen property. Once I processed the transaction, my credit card company advised me of an international transaction in USD. I booked this stay while in Canada, for a Canadian property and with a Canadian credit card. Regardless, the transaction was quoted in USD - with no indication that it was not in local currency. Additionally, the booking confirmation was for a single room and for a single occupant! When reaching out to Agoda, they said their policy is strictly no refunds and no changes regardless of the circumstances. After many fruitless attempts at communication with Agoda, I was finally able to sort something out with the hotel directly. What a stressful and unnecessary experience. DO NOT USE!
