HSL Chairs - Cheltenham Reviews 

We first ordered chairs eleven years ago and the whole experience was just as good then. From our first visit to Cheltenham we received great service from Jemma and her colleague. Nothing was too much trouble. The two chairs arrived today and we were absolutely delighted with them. Certain things, like the arm covers have improved a lot. The two delivery guys arrived early and moved our existing HSL chairs into other rooms for us. Again, nothing was too much trouble, The service and quality of goods has been maintained and in today's world that is a rare thing to be able to say. Many, many thanks. Bob and Sue White

I went into the HSL Store situated on the Cheltenham Gallagher Retail Park on 1st July 2025 with a view to finding a recliner chair to meet my needs. Lorraine and Jemma welcomed my son and me into the store and could not have been more helpful and kind. They knew exactly what I wanted and were very knowledgeable about every aspect of the chair that would suit me best. I did not want to wait several weeks for delivery so they arranged an express delivery for me. The chair was delivered yesterday by two very courteous drivers and I can confirm I now have the most comfortable chair I have ever had.

The new emplyee at Cheltenham took her time to make sure the chair we got was right in size, shape and colour. Chair ready earlier than expected an the delivery team confirmed the time and were spot on. All people we met through the proces could not gave been more helpful.

I recently visited the HSL store in Cheltenham to purchase a second chair — the same model I already have at home — for use at my son’s house nearby. Due to my back issues, I urgently needed a chair that could offer the same level of support and comfort I rely on daily.

Pauline could not have been more helpful. She immediately understood the urgency of my request and went above and beyond to assist. She made calls to Head Office to check availability and made sure everything was in place to get the chair delivered without delay.

Thanks to Pauline’s dedication and efficiency, I now have the comfort I need when staying with my son, and I’m so grateful for her care and attention. This level of customer service deserves to be recognised — thank you, Pauline, and thank you HSL.

Customer advisors were extremely professional, helpful and knowledgeable of their products.

The Himola chair is pure class. I am extremely satisfied with it. As far as HSL are concerned the true test of customer satisfaction as far as service arises when something goes wrong and requires rectification. In this respect HSL weer exceptional in displaying OUTSTANDING SERVICE. This is not faint praise but my expression of recognising a Quality operation ( with a capital Q). From the Karly Customer Service Department to the Delivery guys who delivered the replacemment Chair. A truly customer focussed operation from the Cheltenham Showroom staff and beyond . Lorraine at HSL’s spacious and well laid out Cheltenham showroom welcomed my wife and myself to the store a few days ago and expertly showed to us the range of power recliner chairs. With the assistance of trainee Lucy, after a full demonstration of the features of the Ripley range, we were offered a comprehensive quotation, together with a fabric swatch, to consider.
Today we returned to the store and placed an order.
Altogether a very pleasant experience.

I was buying a chair for my mother from the rapid delivery range. The provide by the store, the call centre and the delivery team was amazing. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. can't fault a thing. Also teh product is brilliant. I was amazed how silent the motors are. my mother loves it.

Very good staff at this store leave you alone to browse. Once your mind is made up go out of there way to show all the options of the patterns,sizes and choice of wood a very good experience from start to finish and to put the icing on the cake a cup of good old Yorkshire tea

The whole experience was friendly, informative and easy. Great advice on specific need for chair fit. Delivery very quick. Jason & Ashley were efficient and helpful.
My only comment is that they were an hour earlier than the delivery window. This could have been an issue had my wife not been in.

The lads Jason and Ashley were on time and very friendly. They unloaded the 2 chairs and settee very quickly and easily with no fuss. They brought it all in with no trouble and put it all together for us and then showed us how to use all the remotes. After they tidied everything away and left with cheery smiles. They were lovely men , very impressed by them. The lady in the shop was also wonderful listening to all our wants and needs thank you.

Fantastic from beginning to end. The sales lady was so helpful, it came in the time line quoted (unlike many other companies) and the delivery guys were fab! Should out to Jason and Ashley, so helpful and respectful of our home so thank you guys!! Chairs super comfy and good for my posture etc after surgery! Cheltenham branch.

Very helpful friendly staff,we where under no pressure. Relaxing in your wonderful chairs. Expertly fitted in the correct his and hers recliner. Decided to treat ourselves to our 2 new chairs. Very excited to receive them.

Amazing service from start to finish with the purchase of a new reclining chair for my mother living within a care facility. Gemma from the Cheltenham show room with her extensive knowledge of client requirements and cheerful nature, happy to respond to any questions/requests asked. Even offering refreshments to my elderly mother whilst choosing her chair. Delivery was great within 4 working days ( Express delivery option) and communication between myself and delivery team Jack /Martin was excellent. They had time to go through everything with myself and re accused that if we had any concerns to just call up support team. Would definitely recommend HSL to anyone looking to purchase comfortable chairs for all ages. I now have one very happy 91 year old mother. Amazing service. Thanks to you all.

We visited HSL in Cheltenham on Manor Road to look for an adjustable bed for my mother in-law. I need to mention Lorraine at the store, she was great, welcoming, friendly and really helpful. We bought the bed we wanted for Diane H and we have already received the delivery notification. Thanks very much for such a great service.

We were welcomed and made to feel comfortable in the showroom from the moment we stepped through the door. We were given time to browse at our own speed. We were helped by Lorraine who spent time answering our questions and providing helpful advice and talking us through the features of the items we were interested in. We were not rushed or pressured and had plenty of time to browse and try the furniture we were interested in.
We were offered tea / coffee & biscuits (and toilet facilities were available ) which made the experience more relaxed for us.

The whole process was handled efficiently, professionally and very informative.
