Mostly a great experience

I’m sorry not to be able to give 5 stars, because apart from one thing my experience was hugely positive and I’m delighted with my new rise and recline chair, bought to replace one I bought elsewhere about 10years ago and which was too big for me.
I had an appointment at the outlet in Tillicoultry, which had only been open a few weeks. Right from the start I was treated as a valued customer by Claire who not only greeted me by name as soon as we appeared but offered us free refreshments! I spent a long time there but at no stage did I feel rushed or that I was being a nuisance. Claire had picked out the chair she thought I would be most comfortable in and had even put the heater in it on, so it felt like sheer luxury and I would have bought it straight away, but Claire encouraged me to try not only all ?4 sizes in the model I chose but also all the other models they had on display. Having chosen the original chair, she then had me sit in it again so she could check that it was ergonomically the right size and shape for me.
I was told delivery would be 6 to 8 weeks and I was phoned in week 6 to say my chair would be delivered 10 days later, between 8.30 and 12.
The Friday before the Monday delivery date, I was sent a text saying the delivery would be between 8.30 and 10, which meant I could accept an invitation that I thought I would have to miss.
The chair did not arrive so I phoned Dawn at customer services, who was most unhelpful, saying she couldn’t contact the delivery company to check when they would be with me and anyway they were too busy as there were only 6 people on in Customer Services as it was a bank holiday. She told me that my delivery had been booked for 8.30 to 12 and the text I had received was just an automated text, implying that the information in the text was not to be believed and that I should I have known this!
My chair did arrive before twelve and as previously stated, I’m delighted with it and I do not write this review to put people off HSL, who, with this single exception have treated me with professionalism and respect and sold me a good quality chair for a reasonable price. What a pity customer services is not up to the mark.
UPDATE
2 days later I had a very nice call from Olivia in Customer Services, a fulsome apology and my delivery charge refunded.

Overall experience was amazing!

Overall experience was amazing!! Aaron was very knowledgeable and professional!!! The level of duty of care was outstanding!!! I sat in the Braham recliner and let me tell you it’s the most comfortable chair I’ve ever sat in. Before I knew it I had sat in it an hour and hadn’t adjusted myself to get comfortable the whole time I sat in the chair!! I really struggle to get comfortable normally. But it was so easy in these chairs!! Yes they are expensive but it’s so hard to get a good quality chair these days and with a 25 year frame guarantee!! So I decided to buy 2 Braham power recliners with heat function!!

Aaron’s customer care was outstanding!! He was assessing me while I sat in the chair. Making sure the seat I was sitting in was right size for me. And even though I dont have any mobility concerns at the moment!! I may have them in the future and I will already have the chairs to help me ☺️☺️

Won’t need to buy armchairs again!! Buy well, buy once!! ☺️☺️

Excellent service from Arron

Excellent service from Arron. We were looking for chairs with good back and neck support, Arron listened and let us see chairs which suited our support needs. Fabric also suited us. Cant wait to receive the chairs and sit in comfort. We had looked at HSL for a few weeks, did not know there was one at Tillicoultry in Sterling Home.

Great quality and service.

Katarina was very knowledgeable, patient and polite. She helped indentify the most suitable chair based on my needs. She took time to explain the various functions and ensured the chair was the correct size. At no time did we feel pressured to buy, and Katarina's patience and professionalism was the deciding factor that led to us making the purchase on the day.

Amazing service

Amazing service.

The staff member at the store was so helpful, gentle and kind. She managed to make mum feel like she mattered. The tea and biscuits were appreciated, and it gave us a chance to see how each of the chairs would work for mum in her own home. Couldn't praise the staff any more. It was a great service. Looking forward to seeing the furniture in the house, and for mum to have more comfort.

Excellent service .

Having severe back problems, I have been looking for a chair with the necessary support that I require. I noticed that HSL had opened within Sterling Mills at Tillicoultry in Scotland. I went to see them and had fantastic service . They made sure that the chair suited my needs, there was no hard sell, and I was totally impressed. I ordered a chair that perfectly suits my posture, height and health requirements. Thank you Aaron for your time and patience! I haven't received my new chair as yet, but will post a further review after it arrives.

Excellent, friendly and professional service.

We are thinking about replacing our sofas and armchairs, and recently visited the HSL area within Sterling Furniture. We were very impressed not only by the quality of the products we saw, but particularly by the care and professionalism of the member of staff who looked after us (Katarina).

Katrina & colleague very helpful

Katrina and her colleague were very helpful and made sure that we were ordering the correct specifications that I required for my size (6ft 4inches) and in fact in the options they presented that were available , made me change from my original preference which was based on your Promotional Literature.
As I was always going to go for Stressless as I am replacing my worn out (after 14 years) recliner, now no longer available the one we ended choosing will blend better in the room that it is going in.

Great service!

We visited Sterling Homes in Tillicoultry today and were served by Danny in HSL’s newly opened department. He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He spent a lot of time with us while we looked at a couple of different chairs and sofas. He clearly knew a lot about the different designs and functions. We settled on a beautiful arm chair, sofa and foot ottoman. We are looking forward to receiving them in 6-8 weeks. I can thoroughly recommend going to HSL in Sterling Homes if you are looking for a new sofa or arm chair.
